Sophie's imparter beeped in her pocket. When she took it out she saw the name Keefe. When she answered it he was smiling. She smiled too. "Hey Keefe!" Sophie said. "Hey Foster. You should come over" Keefe said. "Umm... Let me ask Edaline" Sophie said. She went downstairs and Edaline was in the kitchen. "Hey Edaline? Can I go to Candleshade?" Sophie asked. "Sure. Have fun" Edaline said. Sophie went back upstairs and told Keefe "she said yes. I'll be there in a minute" "okay. See you then. Bye" Keefe said. "Bye" then she clicked away. She went up to the leapmaster and shouted "Candleshade" before Sandor could reach her. The last thing she saw behind her was Edaline at the top of the stairs and Sandor behind her. Sophie transmitted to Edaline thank you then stepped into the light. Once the feathery sensation ended, she saw a skyscraper looming over her. When she looked at the door she saw Keefe standing there. She ran over to him and he hugged her. Keefe took her hand and led her to the vortinator. He yelled a number and then they were whirring on the stairs. Sophie was used to the vortinator by now. She was at Candleshade all the time. Keefe is her boyfriend. Lord Cassius loves Sophie. He's not too strict anymore. Keefe's mom was caught as being a member of the Neverseen and was sent to Exile. He wouldn't sleep at his house for a month after that and alternated sleeping at Everglen and Havenfield. He slept in Jolie's old room at Havenfield. Sophie always heard muffled crying and went in there from time-to-time at night to comfort him. She never slept in the same room as him though. When the vortinator stopped they walked off and into Keefe's room. His room was like a shrine to pranks. Sophie loved going there. She got to know about all of his pranks before they happened. Keefe got Sophie to lighten up a bit after they started going out. That happened at the end of Sophie's third year and now she's in her fourth year. She was trying to savor her time with Keefe since he would be going to the elite levels next year. They agreed to see each other every weekend. "So. What's the newest prank going to be?" Sophie asked. Keefe sat down on the bed. Sophie sat next to him. "I'm thinking about turning Magnate Leto's hair pink. It'll be awesome" Keefe said, getting excited. Then Sophie realized something. "Keefe? You did know that you were speaking a different language, right?" Sophie said. "Really? Wow. I guess I'm a polyglot. We can finally have secret conversations now!" He said in the enlightened language. Then he said "how do you say it? Oh right. Je t'aime" then he leaned in and kissed Sophie. When they pulled away Sophie said "Je t'aime aussi"
