Sophie heard her imparter beep. She took it out of her pocket and saw the name Keefe. She answered and saw his face on the screen. He waved playfully.

"Hi Keefe" Sophie said.

"Hey Foster. Can I come over?" Keefe asked.

"Ummm.......sure" She said.

"Okay. I'll be there in a minute" he said.

Then he clicked away. A minute later she heard a knock on her door.

"Come in!" she yelled.

The door opened and Keefe walked in. He plopped onto the bed and Sophie plopped down beside him. They laid there, looking at the canopy. Then Keefe got up.

"We should play one-on-one base quest" he said.

Then he took Sophie's hand and pulled her up. When she got to her feet, their faces were inches away from each other. their hands were still laced and they were moving towards each other, slowly. centimeters away and they were still moving closer when there was a knock at the door. Sophie jumped and ran to her bed and Keefe sat on the floor.

"Come in" Sophie said

Edaline walked in holding a tray of mallowmelt

"I made some mallowmelt for you guys" Edaline said

"You couldn't have come later" Sophie said under her breath

"What was that?" Edaline asked

"Huh? oh, thank you" Sophie said

Edaline put the tray on the bed and Keefe took one. She left the room and closed the door.

"So, uh, want to go play now?" Keefe asked

"Uh, sure" Sophie said

She didn't really want to play now. What she wanted to do was what they were doing before. She could still remember. They were seconds away from kissing. She could still feel his breath on her cheek. She wanted that back. Keefe stood up again and pulled Sophie up and this time Sophie fell into his arms. This was probably going to end like the last time.

"You really are clumsy, aren't you?" Keefe asked

"Maybe that's a good thing" Sophie said, staring into his eyes

Keefe stared back. It was like Sophie was in a trance. Then Keefe brought her up and they were centimeters away again. Sophie wanted to stay like this forever. Keefe started leaning in. Sophie waited for him to get close enough to kiss. Then Keefe pulled away. Sophie sighed. But she didn't mean to.

"Come on. Let's go play" Keefe said

"Okay" Sophie said

They ran out the door and down the stairs. When they got outside, it was raining. They ran to Verdi's enclosure and went in there. When they got in, the top was up and it was dry. Sophie and Keefe both laughed.

"I guess it's a bad day to play base quest" Keefe said

"Yeah. I guess so" Sophie said

"We should go back inside or we'll get sick" he said

"Yeah" she said

Then Keefe took her hand and started to lead her inside, but he stopped halfway to the house. He was still holding her hand.

"Hopefully we won't get interrupted this time" Keefe said

Then he pulled her close, and slowly leaned in. This time the moment came. She felt fireworks. It was magical. Like in the movies. Kissing in the rain. They were drenched, but Sophie didn't care. This was like a fairytale.

Keefe finally pulled away and stared into her eyes. It was a magical moment with no one to interrupt them. What they didn't know was that they had spectators.

Edaline's POV
Edaline saw Sophie and Keefe run down the stairs, but she didn't have time to tell them that it was raining so she watched them to make sure they didn't get hurt. They ran into Verdi's pen and started laughing. Then they were talking but she couldn't tell what they were saying. She saw Keefe take Sophie's hand and start to run toward the house but he stopped. He said something again then pulled Sophie closer to him. Then she saw him kiss her. Edaline was overjoyed. Sophie's first kiss! He pulled away and looked at her like he was in love. Then he pulled her into the house. Edaline quickly sat on the couch and pretended she didn't see anything.

Sophie's POV
Keefe stared into her eyes, then pulled her to the house. When they got in, they saw Edaline sitting on the couch. Did she see them? She jumped up.

"Oh your soaking wet! Let me get you some towels" Edaline said

With that she ran upstairs and left Sophie and Keefe in the living room. They were still holding hands.

"So. We finally did that without any interruptions" Keefe said

"Yeah. Although I think Edaline was watching us from the window" Sophie said

"It doesn't matter" he said

Then he leaned in and kissed Sophie again. She felt the same sparks she did the first time. After he pulled away, they saw Edaline standing at the base of the stairs smiling.

"Sorry" Sophie said

"Don't apologize. You just had a movie moment. And yes, I did see" Edaline said

That made Sophie blush. Keefe squeezed her hand which made her jump. Keefe snickered and Sophie blushed even more. Edaline smiled at them. She handed them the towels.

"Here. You should dry off" she said

"Thank you" Keefe said

Sophie took the towel and wrapped it around herself. They went upstairs and into Sophie's room. When they got there Keefe ruffled her hair with her towel. Then Sophie ruffled his hair and they both laughed. They sat on the floor and played truth or dare for the rest of the night. When it got dark, Edaline insisted that he stay over. Sophie got into her bed and said that they should try to stay up all night. Keefe sat next to her and she rested her head on his shoulder. Next thing he knew she was asleep. And Keefe did what he could do. He kissed her forehead, said goodnight even though she probably couldn't hear him, closed his eyes and fell asleep.
