Pearl hatched with a Shinx named Brance. The two were always together and they both had the dream of becoming famous singers. The two started their duo act at the age of five, traveling across the city to put on performances for all. Pearl and her singing, Brance and his dancing, they were perfect! (Pearl carried her microphone everywhere and Brance wore a black and green top hat.) The two lived in an old subway car they found as young kits and where very happy there. One day on their way to another concert, the Eevee and Shinx ran into a group of Thievuls. The three attacked Pearl and Brance and Brance, defending Pearl, evolved into a Luxio and sent the Thievals running away with an Electro Ball. A few nights later, Pearl evolved into a Sylveon behind the curtains of a stage after the performance out of love for Brance.:)

A few years later, Brance and Pearl were walking through an alley on their way home and they were attacked by the people from the Eevee Lab Leafblade and Frost are from. The people were aiming to catch Pearl, (Her being a Sylveon and all) but Brance got in the way and they caught him instead. Pearl tired to stop them, but they dragged him away in a net and loaded him into their truck and sped away. Pearl tried to chase it, but it was no use, she never saw Brance again.

Out of grief, she didn't return home. She stopped doing performances because Brance wasn't there to be with her. She didn't really do anything besides at night, she would sing to Brance through the moon, hoping he could hear her call. One night while she did this, she met Violet through the bushes. Pearl had been having strange visions in her dreams, so at some point, she believed Violet and followed her, becoming a full member of Team Eevee.

Okay, I have to add this because I figured its only fair: Brance is still alive. The people took him back to do genetic experiments on him because he'll work, too. (He's a Luxray, now.) He awaits the day when he'll see Pearl again, she awaits it, too.

Not a day goes by when they don't think about each other.
