Figured it would be alright for Drake and Leena to know so,e of the students who came from Shade academy. Also, this chapter may be longer than normal, considering i'm going to try and have team JNPR's battle and team SSSN's battle in this chapter. But then after them, we're not too far off from the doubles round! And shortly after that will be the 1-on-1 finals! That's when things will get really exciting in my opinion. Oh the things that will happen... I cannot wait to write them out. And lastly, I felt it would be alright for Drake and Mercury to have 'somewhat of a friendship." The reason it's in quotations is because we all know how things are going to turn out eventually. Enjoy!

"Three... Two... One.... BEGIN!!!" Professor Port shouted as the battle between team JNPR and BRNZ(Bronze) began. All of team JNPR charged forward while only three of BRNZ went ahead to meet their attacks. The fourth member, May Zedong, ran back into the forest behind her. She climbed up a tree then took aim with her sniper rifle. She began to fire at both Ren and Nora, but it seemed she was purposely missing her shots. It looked like she was doing the same as Leena did in our first match. Ren and Nora were currently trying to take out Nolan. Nora went in to hit him withe her massive hammer but Nolan ducked underneath and then swept her legs out from underneath her. Nora fell as Ren went in for his attack. However, before he could get close enough to hit Nolan, May fired a shot right where Ren was running, forcing him to stop. Ren was caught off guard by this and lost balance, allowing Nolan to capitalize. He struck Ren several times in the legs and face with the sides of his cattle prod before delivering a shocking hit to his gut with the end of his weapon. Ren fell over, twitching a bit. Nora had gotten back up at this point and went in for another attack. She swung and missed again and Nolan jabbed his cattle prod into her gut. "Oh, he's really done it now." I thought to myself as Nora looked more happy than in pain. "Oho, looks like one of my favourite students, Nora Valkyrie is charging up to use her semblance!" Professor Port announced as Oobleck stepped in to explain. "Yes, Ms. Valkyrie's semblance allows her to produce, as well as channel, electrical energy straight to her muscles! This allows her to jump explosively into the air, wield her mighty hammer, or in this case, absorb Nolan's attacks and send the young man flying." He explained as Nora began to flex her muscles. She then struck Nolan with her hammer, sending him flying through a large boulder. Somehow, Nolan was able to get back up and still have enough aura to keep fighting. 

"Nora! Get to the top of the mountain!" We heard Jaune yell as Nora made a bolt to the top. We could see that a thunderstorm was forming, so it was clear about what he had planned. However, May from team BRNZ wasn't letting her get there easily. She took aim at Nora, attempting to make her fall. Jaune and Pyrrha were currently fighting Brawnz and Roy, holding them off for the time being. Roy sent his two buzz saws flying at Jaune was he was able to expertly block them. Pyrrha then jumped over Jaune and delivered a hard kick to Roy, sending him tumbling into Brawnz. May began to shoot at Nora as she was nearing the summit of the mountain. "Pyrrha, up!" Jaune said as he held his shield flat above himself. Pyrrha jumped onto it and Jaune launched her into the air. Pyrrha held her shield in front of her and took a shot from May, giving Nora enough time to reach the top of the mountain. Nora lifted her hammer into the air, using it as a lightning rod. She was struck by a huge bolt of lightning and we watched as she absorbed it into her body. Nora then switched her hammer into its grenade launcher mode and fired all six of its shots simultaneously at May. May quickly scrambled and jumped to a few trees nearby before the shots hit her. The shots blew up the entire tree that she was in before. May then jumped out of the tree she was currently in and made her way over to her teammates. Nora then leaped off the mountain, and slammed her hammer down in front of team BRNZ. They all dodged the attack but Nora was able to leave a crater, making it look like a meteor hit the arena floor. 

Jaune then ordered his teammates to do something but we weren't able to hear what it was. It looked like there was a bit of confusion though because no one on his team made a single move. The four of them then went on to have a long talk with each other. I looked over to team BRNZ and they just looked very confused about this whole situation. However, their confusion turned to anger when Brawnz started to yell at them. "Hey! We're in the middle of a fight!" He yelled as Jaune snapped back at him. "And we're in the middle of a conversation! What don't you get about that!?" Jaune said to him as the crowd around them began to boo loudly. Jaune looked like he had given up on what he was doing and he gave Nora an order. She looked eager as she rushed over to team BRNZ. With one swing of her hammer, she struck all four members and sent them hurdling out of the arena, smashing them against the arena safety barriers. "And with that, team BRNZ is eliminated by ring-out! Team JNPR wins the match! Can someone please go check if BRNZ is ok?" Professor Port announced as the crowd went wild for JNPR. "Oh my gosh, I didn't know who to cheer for in that match. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time." Leena said as I agreed with her. "We'll go visit Brawnz and the others later when the matches are done for the day." I said as she gave me a nod. "Yeah, they weren't too bad. But with that Pyrrha girl on team JNPR, she makes them almost unstoppable." Mercury said as I also agreed with him. 

10 minutes later, the next round of the 4-on-4 matches was about to begin. "Ah, well Vacuo fans are sure to be hurting after that last match, but this next round will have them even closer to the edge of their seats!" Doctor Oobleck announced as Professor Port took over. "That's right! Team NDGO(Indigo) of Shade is certainly a crowd favourite. But these lovely ladies are going against some of the toughest, testosterone filled, teammates we've seen so far. I'm of course talking about team SSSN(Sun)!" Port shouted as the girls in the crowd went wild. The two teams entered the arena and were now waiting for the match to begin. "Sun Wukong and his team are certainly a force to be reckoned with. And although he'll be representing the Mistral academy of Haven, i'm sure his friends and family back in Vacuo will be cheering him along." Port explained as I looked to who team SSSN was facing. Team NDGO consisted of an all female team, and their leader was someone that me and Leena were very familiar with. I bumped Leena on the arm and said "Hey, check out who the leader of NDGO is." She got a closer look by using her semblance and she nearly jumped out of her seat when she figured out who it was. "Is that Nebula!?" She said. "Holy crap, calm down. Yeah, it's her. Looks like she's got a team of her own too." I said as me and Leena were even more eager to watch this match. Nebula was a very close friend of ours and a skilled combatant at that. She wielded a crossbow that doubled as a thick sword. Her teammates, Dew, Gwen, and Octavia all had very interesting weapons of their own. Dew seemed to have a golden spear with a Dust shard encrusted in the centre of it. Gwen carried knives that were embedded into the dress she was wearing. And Octavia carried a crooked looking sword with a red Dust shard in the middle of the blade. In no time, the battlefield environments were being set. On NDGO's side, they received the sand, fitting for them since their from Vacuo. And for SSSN's side, they received the ocean. A shallow pool of water with coconut trees and a pirate ship emerged on their side. And for some reason, I saw that Neptune  was shaking a bit when he saw their side got the ocean. "Don't look now, but I think somebody might be afraid of the water." Emerald said as we all agreed with her.

"Three, two, one... BEGIN!" Oobleck shouted as Neptune made a run for it. He ran so fast that if you blinked, you would've missed him. He ran right past the NDGO team before they could even move and he climbed up a cliff that was on their side. "Neptune! What're you doing!?" Sun yelled to him out of confusion. "Oh, you know, just uh, getting to higher ground!" Neptune explained with somewhat of a scared tone. "On the enemies side!?" Sun asked him. "They would never expect it!" Neptune tried to explain as all of team NDGO's members spread out on their side. The rest of team SSSN followed and the battle had finally begun. The first to come in contact were Sage from team SSSN and Dew from team NDGO. Sage lifted his enormous sword over him and swung it down with a great amount of force. Dew blocked his attack with her spear, however, the impact send them both sliding backwards in the sand. Dew then began to slowly wave her spear over the sand, making a large tornado. "That must be her semblance" I thought to myself as she made the tornado even bigger. Sage was caught in it and he began to get thrown around by the wind. Pretty soon, he was launched out of the tornado and easily thrown out of the arena. "And NDGO gains the advantage! We're down to a 4-on-3!" Oobleck announced. 

Next up was Octavia of NDGO facing both Sun and Scarlet from team SSSN. Octavia used her blade to fire some sort of wind blast that whipped up the sand in front of her. She temporarily blinded Scarlet but Sun was able to fall back and flank around her. Octavia kept her eyes on him though and she moved in to attack him. "Neptune! A little help, please!" Sun yelled as Neptune fired an energy shot from his weapon. Octavia blocked the attack with her blade but this allowed Sun to take advantage of her. He delivered a hard kick to her face, followed by Sun taking out his nunchucks and combining them into a long metal staff. He continued to hit Octavia with a flurry of jabs, landing all over her body. Sun finished it off by ramming the end of his staff into her face. Octavia fell backwards and she was declared out of the match. "Oooh, and Ms. Ember is eliminated by aura depletion! We're all tied up with a 3-on-3 now!" Port announced. 

Scarlet had moved on to battle against Dew at this point. However, Dew still seemed to have control of the battle. She made a few more tornadoes that proceeded to throw Scarlet across the arena. He was able to stay within the stadium though as he landed on top of the pirate ships mast. Nebula and Gwen went after him, making it a 2-on-1. Nebula shot an arrow into the ships mast and used it as a support to jump up to Scarlet. Gwen kept Scarlet occupied with her throwing knives until Nebula had made it up to Scarlet. When Nebula made it, she switched her crossbow into its sword form. She then began to clash blades with Scarlet, who was wielding a pirate sword and flintlock pistol. Gwen left them to help out Dew, leaving Nebula to deal with Scarlet. The two were jumping around and trying to balance on the narrow mast as they continued to slash at each other. They locked blades and it seemed that Nebula was overpowering Scarlet. He was being pushed back. But Scarlet quickly took advantage of the situation. He quickly swiped one of his legs and tripped up Nebula. She lost her balance and Scarlet pushed her off of the mast, making her fall all the way down onto the deck of the ship. Scarlet then took his attention over to Gwen who was throwing knives at Sun. He took out his pistol and fired off a grappling hook from the base of its grip. The hook latched onto Gwen's shoe, lifted it up. Scarlet then jumped off the mast and raised Gwen into the air upside-down. She was left hanging there but Scarlet wasn't out of danger yet. He was standing underneath Gwen, and with her upside-down, all her knives fell out of her dress. Scarlet quickly froze as the knives fell towards him. But luckily, they all managed to miss him. 

Sun was currently in battle against Dew, and the two of them were standing on small sand islands in the ocean zone. Dew kept on making tornadoes but these ones were whipping up the water too. Sun was standing next to a coconut tree and by the look on his face, I could tell he had a brilliant idea. He hit the tree, making two coconuts fall into his hands. He then threw them at Dew. However, Dew countered by hitting them back to him with her spear. Sun was able to dodge but right behind him was Scarlet. Scarlet was unaware of the incoming projectiles and he turned to see what was happening. The first coconut hit him in the face, making him stumble a bit. But the second one, even I could feel the pain. The second coconut hit Scarlet in the nuts. He froze again but soon fell to the ground. "Oh, that's gotta hurt! Team NDGO takes the advantage again! We're down to just 3-on-2!" Port shouted. 

"Uh, Neptune!? I could use some help, buddy!" Sun said, running away from Dew. "Uh, you know, it would be better if you came over here! Yeah! I can guard this... sector! We're in lockdown mode!" Neptune said which really confused us all. "What're you talking about!? There's nothing to lockdown!" Sun yelled to him as we could see Nebula shoot the grappling hook that was trapping Gwen. All three of NDGO's members gathered in the centre of the water to take on what was left of team SSSN. "Dude! I know you're afraid of water but you gotta-" Sun tried to say as Dew came in for a surprise attack. However, when she got close to him, Neptune shot her down back into the water. "There, I helped! Are you happy now!? Also I am not afraid of water and I have no idea what you are talking about!" Neptune said to Sun as he freaked out. "NEPTUNE! FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!" Sun yelled to him. "Ok, fine! Just get out of the water!" Neptune said as Sun jumped over to him. Neptune then changed his weapon into its glaive form. He began charging up the end of it as he crepped towards the waters edge. He stuck the end of his blade into the water and we all watched as the rest of team NDGO was shocked beyond belief from the electrical charge. They all collapsed into the water. "And with that, team SSSN moves on to the doubles round! You know what I call that victory, Oobleck?" Port asked him. "Shocking!?" Oobleck asked. "No. Well earned. What you said is stupid." Port said which made us laugh. Sun and Neptune went on to celebrate in the middle of the arena with some nice dance moves. I'm sure everyone was looking at them like they were stupid though. 

"Well... I think I've had enough excitement for one day. I'm gonna go take a nap. I'll catch you all later. You coming, Leena?" I asked her as I stretched and stood up. "Yeah, i'll come." She said as she got up too. "We'll see you later. The three of us are gonna catch a few more matches. We'll see you around." Mercury said as we gave each other a fist bump. I waved to Emerald and then I went to shake their other teammates hand. The girl with the long black hair and orange eyes looked unamused at first but soon reached out her hand as well. "I don't think I got your name? Mind telling me? Just so I know for any future encounters." I asked her as she gave me a creepy smile. "It's Cinder." She said as we shook hands. But as our hands met, I started to feel that burning sensation in my right arm again. We both quickly let go of each other, and I grabbed onto my right arm with my other hand. I saw Cinder reach up and grab her left eye, and the she looked at me curiously. I didn't think of much when this happened but me and Leena soon left after that. 

We were about to exit the stands but we ran into Ruby and Weiss. "How's it going? Where's everyone else?" Leena asked them. "Blake and Yang are staying to watch a few more fights. Amber and Temair decided to stay too. I was actually leaving with Weiss because she knows someone who's just arriving at Beacon. Wanna come?" Ruby asked us. "Yeah, i'll come with you. What about you, Drake?" Leena asked me as I shook my head. "Sorry, i'm gonna sit this one out. I'm all worn out from our fight today. Ryft really gave me a hell of a fight. I'm gonna go back to the room and sleep for a bit. Have fun though!" I said as I walked off back to my teams room. The truth is though, I did want to go. But with my arm acting up again and the pain returning, I didn't want to possibly hurt someone if something bad happened. I figured it would be better if I stayed away from people for a while and calmed down so I could control my emotions.
