We've made it to the end of the doubles round! And afterwards, i'll be moving right on to the 1-on-1 rounds. Will team DLTA make it to the next round? You'll just have to read and find out. I cannot wait to get to the battle of Beacon. I have so... SO many things planned ahead! It makes me feel so excited just thinking about them. It's gonna be wild. And I know it's crazy when you watch it from the actual RWBY series, but when team DLTA gets involved, things are gonna get turned up to 11! If you're already clenching onto your seat from the non-stop action, then you're freakin' gonna rip out the cushioning in your seat later on. Enjoy!

-Point of View: Temair-

"Alright everyone, the wait is finally over! This is the final match of the Vytal Festival Tournament Doubles round!" Professor Port announced as the crowd got hyped up. "You remember the plan?" I asked Amber as she gave me a nod. The two of us were waiting at the entrance to the battle gates, just listening for when we would be called out. "Temair, why did Drake and Leena choose us to fight in this round?" Amber asked me as I thought of an answer. "They felt like we were best qualified to move on, seeing as we have excellent teamwork together. But even more so, I feel that they want to show everybody something. They want to show that WE ARE FAUNUS, and that we're not like the others such as the White Fang. We fight for what is good, we fight for what we believe in, we fight for our friends. We're examples that show the Faunus aren't always bad." I explained to Amber as she gave me a smile. "I had no idea that's why we were chosen. I guess it kinda makes sense though. It still makes me a but nervous though." Amber said as I put my hand on her left shoulder. "Don't go and get all shy now. We both need to stay focused and confident if we want to win. Our teammates chose us for a reason and we can't let them down now." I said as she nodded to me. Our battle gate then opened up and we began to walk into the arena. "Now, without further ado, let's meet our final two doubles teams!" Oobleck said as the crowd went wild. "First, representing Beacon, team Temair and Amber!" Port shouted as some of the crowd began to cheer our names. "With their team putting on a good show in the opening round of the tournament, will these members of team DLTA have what it takes to move on to the next round? With Temair, master of speed and power, and Amber, master of absolute defense, their opponents may struggle against this Faunus tag-team assault! And speaking of their opponents, here they are!" Oobleck said as we watched our two enemies walk into the arena.

The first was a taller man, wearing a green and black jacket and black pants. He also had dark brown hair and he was carrying a weapon that looked like a rocket launcher.

The second was a woman with long blonde hair. She wore a brown jacket with a black undershirt and also black pants. She looked like she was carrying a pair of claw type gauntlets on each of her hands.

"Representing the kingdom of Atlas, Margaret and Julian of team MOJO!" Port announced as the two of them made their way onto the centre platform. And after getting a closer look, we were able to see that they were Faunus too. Margaret had what looked like a long tiger tail and Julian had two horns coming out of the back of his head that curved toward the front. "Now that the teams have been introduced, let's find out what they'll be battling in! Roll the stages!" Oobleck said as the screens around the arena began to rotate through the environments. Our side of the battlefield received the Anti-Gravity and Ice environments. Ice would be a bit tricky to fight in but Anti-Gravity, it was revealed that it was a bunch of floating platforms that rose high above the ground. That's my ideal fighting location. On Margaret and Julian's side, they got the Ocean and Mountain environments. All four stages were set and the battle was about to commence. I quickly leaned over and began whispering into Amber's ear. "We'll head for the Anti-Gravity area right at the start. Be quick so we don't get caught up by them." I said as she gave me a determined look and a nod. We both pulled out our weapons and we watched as our opponents did the same. "If both teams are ready, then let's get this final match of the doubles round started! 3... 2... 1... BEGIN!!!" Port shouted as the battle began.

Julian aimed his rocket launcher at us and he quickly fired at us. "Amber, now!" I said as she jumped onto my shoulders and held on tight. I activated my semblance and I jumped over to the Anti-Gravity area, landing on one of the lower platforms. I then jumped up again and landed on the highest platform. Amber got off my shoulders and we both started to rain down bullets on our opponents. They both separated from each other, Julian ducking behind a boulder and Margaret rushing for the floating platforms. She began to climb onto the platforms one by one, while also shooting back at us. Her bullets were simply flying past us and into the air for the time being. However, it seems that she was merely the distraction as Julian fired another rocket at us. It was coming in fast so the two of us decided to jump down to the next platform. But as we landed safely, Margaret had also jumped up onto the same platform. She morphed her weapons so that the claws were facing forward now. She went to strike both of us with each of her hands. I morphed my own weapon into its axe form, meeting her attack and clashing blades. Amber did the same, using one of her blades to block Margaret's attack. However, Amber still had a free hand with her other weapon in it. She extended her blade out with their chains and flung them at Margaret. The chain wrapped around Margaret's right leg and Amber tugged on it hard. She caused Margaret to trip and fall over the edge of the platform. But since the chain was still wrapped around her leg, Amber kept her hanging there. But in the middle of all this action, Julian was able to get in close. We hadn't realized it yet but he had ran into the Anti-Gravity zone and had started climbing up the platforms. When we looked down at Margaret who was hanging upside down, we saw him just underneath her. He morphed his rocket launcher into what looked like a bettering ram. He jumped up fast, passing Margaret and making his way to us. He thrusted the blunt end of his weapon upward and struck the platform we were both standing on. The entire platform shattered into pieces and we both began to fall.

On our way down to the ground, Julian reached over and grabbed the collar of my shirt. He threw me away from Amber and I landed in the centre of the battlefield. Amber was able to land on another platform safely but Margaret was able to cut herself down. The two of them began to battle each other again. Julian on the other hand ran straight over to me, preparing his battering ram to hit me again. I went to meet his attack with my axe, swing it over my head and then down at Julian. He thrusted his weapon forward and our attacks met with an explosive force. The impact created a small shockwave that cracked the ground where we were standing. Julian was the first to make a move as he jumped back and morphed his weapon back to its rocket launcher form. He fired two missiles at me which I used my semblance to dodge easily. When I landed, I quickly turned to face Julian who was reloading his weapon. I decided to change my weapon back to its gun form and start unloading on him. He took note of this and ducked behind a nearby boulder before getting shot. He was able to finish reloading as he popped back up to fire another rocket at me. I used my semblance again to dodge it, jumping high into the air. However, when I was coming back down, I noticed Julian was staring directly at me, but not aiming his weapon at me. He then produced two glowing red lines from his eyes that met the centre of my chest. They weren't hurting me though. "Ah, it seems Julian has activated his semblance. With it, he can produce those two targeting finder lasers from his eyes. And when he makes his mark, the next time he fires his weapon, that projectile will have a permanent lock-on to its target. I would start running, Temair!" Oobleck explained as two red dots were left on my shirt. Julian lifted his weapon back up and fired as I was landing. I jumped away using my semblance again but as Oobleck explained, the rocket was following me. I leaped up the mountain zone as fast as I could but the rocket was still gaining on me. I jumped off the mountain and landed in the centre of the arena. I decided that I would just shoot down the projectile instead of running from it. I turned and aimed my gun, waiting for the projectile to get closer. When it got to about 50 feet away, I started firing at it. I managed to hit it with a few bullets and I made it blow up before it struck me. 

But as I was feeling good to be out of danger, that quickly changed when Julian showed up next to me. His weapon was in its battering ram form and he thrusted it right into my gut. The impact was so strong that it sent me flying across the centre of the battlefield. And in the midst of flying over the arena, I dropped my weapon. I landed about 30 feet from it. I hit the ground hard, landing on my back and sliding a few feet on the ground. Julian had ran after me and he was now walking up to me as I still laid on the ground. He put his right foot down onto my chest and he started laughing. "Even though we're both Faunus, you're so freakin' weak! It's almost laughable how much you're trying to win. But don't worry, because i'm about to finish this fight and take out your little fox friend!" Julian said as he raised his battering ram up into the air, looking like he was going to bring it down on my face. "Who cares if i'm weak! There's always someone better than you! And if I am weak, than that doesn't mean that you're better than me! Thanks for falling right into my plan!" I explained to Julian as I raised both of my legs up and rested them on his chest. I activated my semblance and then pushed him away with all my might. Thanks to the force of my leap semblance, I launched Julian so far. He flew over the mountain zone and landed outside of the arena. "What a comeback! Temair Moonfist knocks out Julian Strides by ring-out! It's down to a 2-on-1! What will Margaret do now?" Port announced as I got back onto my feet and picked up my weapon. I then started to go over to where Amber was still fighting Margaret. 

I could see that they had moved into the ice zone and that Amber was having a hard time standing. Amber made one misstep and tripped, allowing Margaret to land a heavy shot to Amber's right side. She sent her sliding out of the zone and over to where I was. I helped Amber up and we both stared down Margaret. "So you knocked out my teammate. So what!? I've got a trump card that no one can stand up to! It's been fun, but now you two lose!" Margaret said to us as she took off both of her weapons. She then began to glow with a yellow outline. In mere seconds, Margaret was growing in size. "Oh, and it looks like Margaret has now activated her own semblance. Her "Gigantification" power allows her to grow into a giant, increasing her overall strength to monumental levels. Watch out, she might step on you." Port explained as Margaret had finished growing. She was nearly 100 feet tall at this point and she began walking towards us. Thankfully, since she was bigger, she was also a lot slower too. We both started to shoot at her but it looked like our bullets weren't doing any damage at all to her. "The thickness of my skin increases a bit when I grow too. Your bullets are just bouncing off of me!" Margaret said as she tried to step on us. I quickly picked up Amber and jumped away using my semblance. We landed about 120 feet from Margaret who had started to walk over to us again. I put down Amber and stared her in the eyes. "I don't think there's much we can do to her. So let's bet it all on this next attack. It's the strongest we've got after all!" I said as Amber agreed with me. I then handed her two of my gravity Dust bullets. She ectivated her semblance, her body glowing with a white outline. She crushed the two bullets in her hands as they began to glow black and purple in colour. "Keep up your semblance and make sure you hit her with everything you've got!" I said to Amber as she nodded again. I then morphed my weapon into its axe form and loaded it with a full magazine of explosive Dust. The blade on my axe turned orange in colour and started smoking. I then activated my semblance and leaped straight up into the air. 

I pulled my weapon over my head and waited as I quickly began to come back down to the ground. Thanks to Amber's semblance, she wouldn't get hurt by this attack very much. I came back down to the ground and I slammed my axe onto the floor. I created a massive explosion right behind where Amber was standing. The explosion sent her flying through the air at a blinding speed. She was soaring right over to Margaret who was still coming at us. Amber readied her right fist which was fused with the gravity dust. With one hard punch, Amber rammed her fist into Margaret's gut and sent her sliding backwards. And with the mix of Amber's semblance increasing her strength and the added gravity Dust, the impact sent Margaret floating into the air. "Moon Drive!" Amber yelled as she continued to push back Margaret. Amber kept on pushing, not stopping until she took both herself and Margaret out of the arena. The two of them exited the arena boundaries and the final buzzer sounded off. "And with a breathtaking display of teamwork, quick thinking, and self-sacrifice, team Temair and Amber win the match!" Port shouted as the crowd went wild again. The gravity dust wore off on Amber and Margaret and they both fell to the ground. Margaret simply left the arena, not saying a word but Amber ran back into the battlefield and gave me a hug. "We did it! I'm so glad it worked!" She said as I hugged her back. "You were awesome! I can't believe you were able to push her all the way out!" I said as we started to wave to the crowd. "And with that, the doubles round has come to a close! We'll see you all tomorrow when we kick off the one-on-one round of the tournament!" Port announced as we exited the arena. 

We met Drake and Leena who were waiting at the battle gates. Drake nearly tackled me and Leena picked up Amber and gave her a big hug. "That was incredible, guys! That was the best doubles match yet, and i'm not just saying that because you're my teammates!" Leena said as we thanked her. "And now we can put on a good show for the one-on-one rounds too! We are one of the favourites from Beacon after all!" Drake said as he gave me a light punch on the arm. "Oh yeah, we haven't decided which of us is moving on yet." Amber said as we all looked at her. None of said a word but we all had the same thought in our heads. "Why're you all looking at me like that?" Amber asked us as we started to laugh. "We have decided already. The one who's moving on is you, Amber." I explained to her as she flipped out. "What!? Me!? Why me!? Why not Temair!?" She asked Drake and Leena. "Temair was fine with letting you move on instead of himself. Plus, you bring more to the table than him and you're essentially our own trump card. And... maybe it'll help you fully conquer your social awkwardness." Drake said as he patted Amber on the shoulder. I looked to Leena and saw she quickly made an angry looking expression on her face. But she soon changed it when we all left to go back to our room. Tonight would be important because we had to come up with a plan for Amber before she competed in the one-on-one round. And looking at the remaining teams and their chosen competitors, it wasn't going to be easy in the slightest.
