It's been long in the making, but we finally get to see the effects of the Grimm blood inside of Drake. While it was brief, it will come with heavy effects later down the road. How it'll turn out, I really can't say at this point. Right now, i'm trying to think if I should make this next chapter into two parts or not. Again, i'm can't say right now. What I do know is that we finally get to see team CFVY(Coffee) in action in this chapter. And after doing a bit of research on them, I was able to find out that they transferred to Shade academy in Vacuo after the battle of Beacon. Nice choice CFVY. Enjoy!

-Point of View: Drake-

We were surrounded by creatures of Grimm at all sides. The eight of us stood at each others backs. Beowolves were slowly closing in as other types of Grimm remained in place, most likely waiting for their opportunity to strike. "Don't stop until every last one of them is dead! We can do this, as a team!" I said as everyone began their attack. We all shot down some of the Beowolves moving in on us, but there were still more to follow. "Drake, give me some cover!" Temair yelled to me as I gave him a nod. I swapped my weapons cylinders so it would fire some fire Dust shots. I shot them at the ground in front of a huge group of Grimm. It stopped them from advancing for the time being but it wouldn't last long. "Go for it! Now's your chance!" I yelled to Temair as I saw him load a magazine of explosive Dust into his weapon. He then changed his weapon to its axe form and he used his semblance to jump high into the air. The blades on his axe began to turn orange in colour and smoke. When he came back down, he slammed his axe into the ground, right in front of the pack of Grimm. He created a huge explosion from the impact that blew the Grimm to pieces. "Nice going! There's still some more though, keep up the offensive!" I said as he gave me a nod and switched his weapon back to its gun form. I looked over and saw Amber was in a fight with a large Ursa. She used the chains from her weapons to latch onto the Ursa. She then activated her semblance, increasing her strength. She began to swing the Ursa around, almost like a wrecking ball. She used it to attack some other Grimm that were near her. And lastly, I looked over to Leena who was fighting alongside Weiss. Weiss was using her Glyph symbols in front of Leena's weapon so that when Leena fired, her bullets would encase the Grimm in ice upon contact. They were able to freeze over a dozen Beowolves in place before moving on to larger targets like Ursa and Deathstalkers.

"Need a hand!? You all look like you might be in trouble!" Someone said as we all quickly turned to see who it was. It was Jaune. Team JNPR, Team CFVY, as well as exchange students Emerald and Mercury, and Professor Port and Glynda were all here to help. "I think we've... got this under control. But a few extra hands would be nice." I said as they all charged the Grimm. Team CFVY toof the lead and instantly started mowing down Grimm of all types. Yatsuhashi, one of their teams members who was even larger than I was, unsheathed his enormous sword and slammed it onto the ground, creating a shockwave that blew back several Grimm. He followed it up by slicing them into two, one by one until there were none left around him. Fox, another member of CFVY, used his martial arts skills, as well as his weapons, a pair of blades that attached to his arms, to combat the Grimm. He was a master of pressure point combat and he showed this off by striking an armored Ursa in a specific spot that caused it to freaking explode. The spines that came out of the armored Ursa's back flew everywhere after it exploded and they impaled several other Grimm. next up was the leader of their team, Coco. From first glance, her weapon just looked like a small metal purse. Even when it looked like that, she was still skilled in using it as a weapon. She bashed the head in of a Beowolf, killing it with the one shot. She then looked into the sky and saw three huge Nevermore swooping down at her. "Peace of cake." I heard her say as she transformed her weapon into a large minigun. She began unloading rounds into the Nevermore, one of them she even cut in half due to the power of her shots. Each of the Nevermore were removed from the sky, allowing us to focus more on the Grimm on the ground. The final member of team CFVY, was Violet, the Faunus girl with the tall rabbit ears. Coco insisted she didn't fight and save her new weapon she constructed for a better time. 

They all seemed to be holding their own without a problem, although I wouldn't expect any less of a second year team. JNPR was also doing well, Nora was bashing Grimm heads in with her huge hammer, Ren was slashing up other Grimm using his weapons, and Pyrrha was gunning down and slicing up dozens of Grimm at a time. Jaune on the other hand... When I looked over to him, I saw he was facing an Ursa. I looked over to Pyrrha and saw she was staring at him as well. I'm sure we both had the same thought as we both started to head towards him. We watched as Jaune unsheathed his sword and took a battle stance. The Ursa roared into his face but Jaune was able to stand his ground. Jaune let out a battle cry and then began to slash away at the Ursa. He struck it several times, over a dozen at least. He finally came to a stop and stared at the Ursa. The Ursa itself stood in place but it was shaking. It then fell over on its back and disappeared into thin air. Jaune was able to kill it all on his own and not take a single hit. "We'll it looks like my help isn't needed here." I thought as I looked back over to Purrha. She was smiling at Jaune, proud of what she just witnessed. We looked at each other and gave each other nods, indicating that Jaune was capable of looking after himself. 

The Grimm were quickly falling in numbers but there were still so many of them. And as the battle raged on, the ground began to shake. Something big was coming. I looked over to the hole in the ground where the Grimm were coming out of. Except, instead of a monstrous Grimm emerging, it was one of the Atlas Mechs. It climbed out of the hole and then collapsed. It looked like it was hit by a bomb. It's cockpit opened up and jumping out of it was Doctor Oobleck. He jumped over to me and Ruby, and he was holding Zwei in his hands. "Glad to see you're all alive! Sorry for being late, I hopped into that Mech before the train crashed. Me and the dog were buried under a large pile of rubble. How's the situation so far?" Oobleck asked us. "Thanks to the backup, we're reducing the Grimm's numbers at a steady rate. We should be able to take them all out pretty soon." Ruby explained as Oobleck gave us both a nod. He then took his weapon and ran over to Professor Port. "Just like old times!" He said to Port as they both took aim with their weapons. Professor Port wielded a Blunderbuss style gun with an axe on the end of it. Port fired off several large fire Dust shots while Oobleck used his thermos staff to launch a huge burst of flames at incoming Grimm. They roasted them and turned them to ashes.

The battle was indeed shifting and as the Grimm numbers continued to fall, our next line of defense entered the fray. Everyone heard loud engines coming closer to us. It made us all look to the sky. The Atlas military had arrived. Their lead airship cruiser sent out dozens of drop ships. The drop ships then released their new soldier drones. They flew down to the ground and began to combat the remaining Grimm, shooting them down with a huge barrage of bullets. The Grimm had no chance now. "Keep it up, people! We're almost there! Just a few more to go!" I yelled as everyone began to cheer with me. But as we were cheering, a loud crashing sound could be heard from behind me. I turned and saw that same King Taijitu that emerged from the hole in the ground before. Everyone else seemed to be too occupied with the other Grimm so it was up to me to take it down. It quickly slithered over to me and went to bite me with its huge fangs. I jumped out of the way quickly and took aim with my gun. I had my Dust barrel in place and I fired off three fire shots at the huge black snake. Two shots hit its body, singeing its skin a bit. The third shot though hit it in the head, burning near one of its eyes. It let out some loud hisses but it kept on attacking. "I'll try impaling it. Maybe that'll work better than bullets." I thought to myself as I transformed my weapon to its melee form. The King Taijitu lunged at me again, its mouth wide open to swallow me whole. I leaped backwards while thrusting my spear forward. However, as I jumped back, one of my feet hit a rock, making me lose balance. This caused me to lose my grip on my weapon, essentially throwing it at the giant snake now. My blade flew right into the Taijitu's mouth as I watched it swallow it. "Oh terrific. What the hell am I supposed to do now!?" I thought as an unforgettable feeling began to return to my body. The burning sensation from when I looked like the Grimm was coming back, and it couldn't have been at a worse time. My whole body began to feel weak as I fell to my knees. 

"I can't... lose control. Need... to help... my friends!" I said as I clenched my right arm in my left hand. I could feel the pain pulsing through it and working its way into the rest of my body. "No! I will not... turn! I'm me! I am Drake! I will not... hurt the ones I care about!" I thought as the scars on my arm began to turn black in colour. "It's happening again! Please, no! STOP!!!" I thought as the pain all of a sudden, just went away. I looked back down at my arm, the black scar marks were still there, but my hand didn't form any claws this time. I felt around my mouth and I hadn't formed any fangs either. "Did I hold it off?" I thought as the King Taijitu came closer to me. I put its head right in front of me, like it was inspecting me. It took a glance at my right arm and then it started rubbing against me. "What the hell is this thing doing?" I asked myself as I tried to stand back up. "I don't know what's going on with me... But I don't have the time to figure that out! I've gotta get my weapon back so I can slay this thing!" I said as I delivered a heavy punch with my right arm. Since the Taijitu had its head really close to me, I was able to get a solid shot at its left eye. Now, when I went to strike it, I expected my fist to simply hurt the Grimm, temporarily blinding it. That was not the case though. When I struck with my right arm, my whole hand went right through the eye, penetrating into its head. The Taijitu wailed in pain and lifted its head back up. It took me along with it since my arm was still lodged in its eye. "Damn it! I can't get my arm out!" I said as the Taijitu started waving its head around. "Don't worry, bud! We got you!" Mercury said to me as he jumped over, delivering a hard kick to the Taijitu's body. Emerald followed after him and she began slashing away at the Taijitu's neck area. Mercury kept up the pressure by firing wind Dust shots from his specialized artillery boots. He was spinning himself around while doing a single-hand stand. He was firing off shots in all directions that continued to barrage the Taijitu. Pretty soon the Taijitu fell over and I was able to put my feet on the ground. "Thanks! I'll take it from here! I think I know what I've got a hold of!" I said as I used all my might to remove my arm from the giant snakes eye. I gripped something inside of it and pulled hard. The black scar marks on my arm began to burn again, but at the same time, I could feel my strength increasing. I let out a loud yell as I pulled my arm right out of the Grimm. It was a bit gross, considering I had some slimy substance all over my arm and clothes. But what was more important was what I took out of the Grimm. The object I had grabbed onto and pulled out was its brain. I held it in my hand and watched as it and the entire King Taijitu disappeared into the air, leaving nothing behind but my weapon which the snake swallowed. I picked it up and switched it back to its gun form. 

"That was pretty impressive, the way you just shoved your hand right through that Grimm's eye." Emerald said to me as her and Mercury came over. "Thanks. I don't know how I did it though. I'm not strong enough to pull off a stunt like that." I explained as I looked back down at my arm. The black marks were beginning to fade away. "What's up with your arm? Is that black stuff related to your semblance or something?" Mercury asked me as I tried to hide my arm behind my back. "It's nothing. Just something I.... picked up recently. It's no big deal." I said as they both looked at me curiously. "Whatever you say, man. Let's get this cleaned up now." Emerald said as her and Mercury went back into the battle. Although, there wasn't many Grimm left at this point. Glynda was combating the remaining few, using her semblance to hurl nearby Grimm in all directions. When she sent the last one high into the air, she began pointing her riding crop weapon at the hole in the ground. She used her semblance again to telekinetically fix the hole, piecing it back together until, it looked like nothing happened. She sealed it back up and made it look like the road was just newly made. All the Grimm were dead and had disappeared by this point, and the whole city around us looked completely fine. It was finally over and we had won. 

A few minutes later, Atlas military landed some of their drop ships in the plaza we fought in. Torchwick had been found and he was being escorted away to prison. "How the hell did he survive the train crash? He had nothing to protect him from the impact?" I thought as Emerald and Mercury handed him off to the soldier drones. "Oh, I can't believe that you caught me. You've really taught me the error of my ways." Torchwick said as the soldier drones escorted him into the drop ship. "Hey, hey, watch the hat!" Torchwick said as the doors to the ship closed. The ship then took off back to the Atlas cruiser in the sky. That was the end of Torchwick, hopefully for good.

-Time Skip: 1 Hour-

Everyone had returned to Beacon by this point. My team and Ruby's team were currently all sitting together at Beacon's airship port. "Well... we did it." Yang said as we all agreed with her. "If we don't get extra credit for that, i'm going to be seriously disappointed." Weiss said as I just looked at her. "Weiss, a giant snake literally crushed a bakery. Don't count on it." Leena said to her. "And besides, we didn't solve everything." I said as everyone looked over to me. "He's right. A lot of people were hurt, and we still don't know why they did this. Plus, that Neo girl is still out there." Ruby said as we nodded in agreement. "Well, not every story has a neat and tidy ending." Temair said as I shook up his hair, proud of what he and everyone else had done today. "We might not have all the answers, but we do have a lot of dangerous people behind bars. And I think that's something we can be proud of." Blake said as we all agreed. "Yeah. And if anyone wants to try something like this again, we'll be there to stop them." Amber said as we all just looked at her. "Did she just say a full sentence, without stuttering, and speaking confidently?" Ruby asked me as I just laughed. "Looks like you're finally out of your little shell." I said as I pulled Amber close to me by putting my right arm over her shoulder. Yang then laid down on the ground and said "Yay. Teamwork, camaraderie, good guys, go team, alright good job. So, what now?" "I'd suggest training for the Vytal tournament, but i'd say both of our teams have that covered at this point." Weiss said as we all agreed. "So then...?" Blake began to ask as everyone spurted out the exact same thought. "Sleep!" We all said as we got up to go to our rooms. It had been a really long day, and we deserved a little rest. After all, the Vytal festival was beginning in just about a week. We had to be in tip-top condition if we wanted to stand a chance. 

As we walked back to our dorm rooms, I felt a very small singeing feeling coming from the scars on my right arm. It wasn't like before and it quickly went away. I told Leena and Blake not to tell anyone about what happened, and I could count on them to keep this a secret. The only other person I was willing to tell was Professor Ozpin. I was hoping he would know about what's happening and if there was anything I could do to fix all this. I'd go see him tomorrow though, because right now, all I've got on my schedule is some peace, quiet, and sweet, sweet, relaxation.
