Well, we've made it to the finale of volume 4. It's actually been a pretty awesome ride to get here. I honestly thought it was going to suck to do this volume, because let's face it, volume 4 is where RWBY starts to fall off the map. But doing it from the perspective of the DLTA members was actually pretty fun, especially when putting them in separate situations. My favourite was probably Temair's side of the story. He was probably my least developed character out of the DLTA members and I opened him up in a way that hadn't been seen before. And we can't forget Drake's struggle with the Schnee family, Leena's revival, and Amber's emotions being put to the test. I have put each of these characters through the ringer so bad, possibly worse than any other character I've created other than one. And after writing about them for so long, I've made these connections with them. Doing anything that hurts them ends up hurting me in a big way. I've cried at one point when I did an earlier chapter. But it's all for the best, and like my characters, I've just gotta keep moving forward. Enjoy!

"What is that thing?" I asked with fear in my voice. "That... is what destroyed this village.... and all of its people. The Nuckelavee...." Ren said as the large Grimm let out a screeching roar. "Amber, take Qrow to a safe place! We'll hold it off until you come back!" Jaune said as I gave him a nod. I quickly ran over to Qrow who was sitting next to a tree and I put him over my shoulders. I then ran behind some buildings as all my friends started the fight with the Nuckelavee. I laid down Qrow next to a building before turning to run back into action. But before I could leave, Qrow reached up and grabbed my left hand. I looked back at him and saw he was giving me a very stern look. I knew what he was implying just by the look he gave me. "We'll make it through this. We've come this far, and we're not gonna stop here." I said as Qrow let out a sigh. He then let go of my hand, allowing me to run back to my friends. When I got back on the scene, I pulled out my weapons and began to open fire on the Nuckelavee. The top half of the Grimm was flailing its arms around, extending the lengths of them so that it could reach my friends without having to move closer. Ruby and Jaune were hit by the attack and were sent sliding backwards on their backs. And then, Ren and Nora were hit, and they were sent flying but they managed to land on their feet. Ruby opened fire on the Grimm but her bullets didn't seem to be doing anything to it. Neither did my bullets actually. "If bullets won't work, then let's see what my new upgrades can do!" I said as I loaded both of my weapons with fire Dust. My blades turned red in colour and I could feel the heat coming from them. I extended them out on their chains and I saw the chains themselves were also red in colour. The Nuckelavee went to extend one of its arms again and try and hit my friends. I intercepted by wrapping my chains around that arm. I held it back from attacking and the Nuckelavee let out a wailing screech. It's arm was smoking from my heated chains being wrapped around its arm. "Everyone.... attack it now... while I hold it!" I yelled as everyone charged the Grimm.

"Everyone, keep moving! Go in a circle!" Jaune yelled as everyone began to spread out around the Grimm. I stayed in place and tried to hold the Nuckelavee back. But, it finally had enough of me burning its arm. It extended out its free arm and reached for me. It grabbed onto my face and it made me let go of my weapons. I tried to pry myself from its grip but it was so strong. It began to squeeze my head pretty hard as it lifted me off of the ground.  The Nuckelavee then proceeded to throw me through the air and through the side of a building. I laid in a pile of rubble, my vision becoming a little blurry. I could feel blood moving down from the top of my head. I sat up and brushed off the dust on my clothes. I coughed up a bit of blood and then stood up, wiping the blood off of my head. I walked over to the hole I went through slowly, seeing my friends fighting the Nuckelavee. The Grimm was currently pinning Ren against the side of a tower. It was going in to kill him with its other arm but Nora intercepted by jumping in the way. The Nuckelavee luckily grabbed onto the head of her hammer and pinned it against the tower as well while Nora still held on to it. Jaune, for some reason, sheathed his sword back into its hilt. But then he grabbed onto the grip of his sword while it was in its hilt, pulling it off of him and holding it in front of him. But as he did that, a new blade emerged from the edges of the hilt. These blades were much thicker, sharper, and deadlier than his normal sword. Jaune ran for the Nuckelavee while it was busy with Ren and Nora. He slashed at one of the horse legs, making the Nuckelavee wail in pain again. It retracted its arms and let go of Ren and Nora. 

I ran back out into the square and found my weapons on the ground. I picked them up and ran over to Ruby and Jaune. We could see Ren and Nora were hurt and they crawled underneath a building. The Nuckelavee kept its eyes on them though and charged them. "Ruby, get me over there!" I said as she gave me a nod. She then held her scythe flat out behind her and I jumped onto it. I put my weapons away and prepared myself. Ruby then swung her scuthe forward and fired from it at the same time. The force propelled me forward right towards the Nuckelavee. I activated my semblance as I flew for it, my body glowing with a white outline and my strength increasing immensely. When I got close enough, I struck the Nuckelavee in the back of the head, making its top half slump over. I managed to stay on top of the Nuckelavee as it stopped and tried to throw me off. The horse part of it was bucking everywhere, attempting to make me fall off of it. But I was not letting go. I rammed my hands into the body of the horse so I wouldn't fall of of it. But an idea came to me as I held on. I took one of my hands out of the Grimm and I reached down for the ribs that were exposed on the horse. With the strength from my semblance, I grabbed onto one of the ribs and pulled it right out of the Nuckelavee's body. It let out a deafening screech of pain when I did that. I began to stab the horse body of the Nuckelavee, and it continued to wail the whole time. It began to rush aorund the village square, doing everything it could to knock me off of its body. It plowed through buildings but I was not letting go. Eventually, the human half of the Grimm rose back up and faced me. It went to reach for me but I impaled the palm of its hand with the rib I was holding. But that didn't stop it from grabbing me with its other hand. It was so strong and it lifted me off of its body. The Nuckelavee then threw me directly onto the ground. The force of its throw made the ground shatter a bit. I let out a scream of pain but I knew I had to move past it. The Nuckelavee turned around and faced me, lifting the front end of its horse body into the air. I didn't have any time to move, so I had to hope my semblance could stop it. It brought its legs down but it didn't make contact with me. Jaune jumped in between us and blocked both of the Nuckelavee's front legs with his sword. "Amber, run!" He said as I rose to my feet. But as I stood up, the Grimm pushed him down onto his back. "Take my hand!" I yelled as I reached for Jaune. He grabbed my hand as the Nuckelavee went to attack him again. I used the strength from my semblance to jump far away while still holding on to Jaune. We landed near Ruby and Ren and Nora managed to make it over to us as well. 

"We need a plan!" Nora said as everyone started to think of one. I looked around, seeing that we were all pretty badly beaten and bruised. Ren had his head down, looking at his hand. He wasn't holding either of his weapons though. He was holding an older style dagger. "Ok, Jaune and I can take care of its arms!" Ruby said as we all agreed with her. "I'll take care of the horse." Nora said as everyone looked to me and Ren. "And we'll take care of the rest." Ren said as everyone spread out. Nora jumped up to the top of a tower, and Ruby and Jaune ran to either side of the Nuckelavee. Me and Ren waited for our opportunity to strike. Ruby kept on firing at the Grimm, trying to get its attention. She eventually did and it reached one of its arms out to her. She jumped over it as it smashed against the ground beneath her. Ruby then brought the end of her scythe down and trapped the arm where it hit the ground. The Nuckelavee wailed again but it was not done fighting. I pulled out my weapons and I started to open fire on the other side of the Grimm. It looked over to me and it went to hit me with its other arm. I did the same as Ruby, jumped over the arm. But I didn't have a weapon that could pin it down. Instead, I used my semblance to hold it in place until Jaune came over and impaled his sword through the arm and into the ground. It couldn't move either of its arms now and its wailing became more intense. "Nora, now!" Ren yelled as we looked up to Nora on the tower. She stood up on top and fell backwards, right towards the Nuckelavee. She spun around in midair and readied her hammer. She brought it down and struck the head of the horse, making its body collapse to the ground. The Nuckelavee began to moan intensely now as me and Ren stood in front of it. 

Ren had his dagger in his right hand and he was preparing to strike down the Grimm. I prepared my own weapon as I loaded one of my blades with fire Dust. The blade changed to red again and I was ready to put an end to all this. I looked to Ren and he looked to me. It was time to finish this. "For my mother!" We both yelled as we both slashed off the right arm of the Grimm. "For my father!!" We both shouted as we severed off the other arm. "For all those that you've slain!" We yelled as we slashed at the body of the Grimm, cutting off several of its ribs. The Nuckelavee screamed in our faces but it could do nothing. It was over for it. "FOR MYSELF!!" We both cried out as we decapitated the Nuckelavee. Its head flew right off and rolled along the ground for a few seconds. But as quick as it happened, the Grimm began to turn to black smoke, scattering into the air. It rose high into the sky before completely disappearing into nothing.  The fight was over, and we all came out alive. Nora rushed over and tackled Ren to the ground. We all put away our weapons, knowing we had won. I saw Ruby rush over to where I put Qrow. I decided to go with her and help her out. When we rounded the corner, Qrow was still there, and he was still breathing. "It's quiet." Qrow said as he raised his head to look at us. "Good job, kiddo's." He said as we helped him to his feet. But when we did that, we heard some sort of beeping sound in the distance. 

"Guys! I think I hear something! Get over here!" Jaune said as we slowly walked back into the square. When we entered it, we saw two airships flying over the village. They circled and then landed in the square. They had the symbol for Mistral on the sides of them. Some of the crew came out to help us out. They brought out a stretcher for Qrow and they carried him on board. Me, Jaune, and Ruby went with him and Ren and Nora went onto the other airship. We took off in a matter of seconds. "How did you find us out here?" Jaune asked one of the crew. "We were on patrol and saw this black smoke in the sky. No one's been out here for years. We thought something might be wrong, so we checked it out. And I guess, it couldn't have been at a better time." The crewman said as he looked down at Qrow. "What if we don't make it in time?" Ruby asked the crewman as I looked out a window. "Guys... look." I said, pointing out the window. Jaune and Ruby came over and looked to what I was pointing at. Mistral was in view. It was much close than we thought. We could see the whole city, filled with beautifully designed buildings covering a mountain with a waterfall in the centre. 

"We made it, uncle Qrow." Ruby said as she held her uncle's hand. "We.... finally made it." I said as I sat down on the ground and let out a relieving sigh. Jaune did the same and we relaxed until we landed in the city. We were taken to a medical centre so Qrow's infection and our wounds could be treated. The five of us were all discharged quickly but Qrow had to stay for an extra day just to make sure his infection would clear up. We were allowed to stay until he could leave, thankfully. Ruby stayed with Qrow the entire time and the rest of us just relaxed in our own separate room. We sat with each other and comforted each other. The pain was finally over. We made it to Mistral and were now one step closer to completing our goal. I just wish.... everyone else could be here with us. Drake... Leena... Temair.... Weiss.... Blake.... and Yang.... all of them fought so hard for us, and we were driven apart. But if they're anything like all of us, then I know that they're fighting back to. I know that they're staying strong, even in the toughest of times. I now that wherever they are, they're doing everything they can to find a way back to each other. And when that day finally comes... we'll all be here, waiting for them. But until that day does come, we're on our own, in a city none of us had been to before. It was going to be a very different experience from what we're all used to. The people, landscape, and academy are all unknown to us. The only one who might know anything would be Qrow. He did tell us that he knew the headmaster, after all. And when Qrow recovers, we would all get to meet him to. The headmaster of Haven academy, Leo Lionheart.
