Skylox - Clues (Valentines Day Special)

-Ty's POV-

I sat on the couch, only half awake. I was lying down, my hands resting comfortably on my stomach as my stomach rose and fell. The tv blared in front of. And worst of all....

I was lonely.

My husband, Adam, had told me yesterday that he had to go on a business trip. Last minute business trip to Tokyo. I'm usually fine with this - he goes on trips almost every other day, but...

Today was Valentines Day.

I let out a sad sigh, moving my hands so they were behind my neck. I wish Adam didn't have that stupid job. We could be together on Valentines day, of all days.

Suddenly, the phone started blowing up. It's annoying rings were like a finger, tempting me over. But I just groaned, taking the pillow off of the couch and shoving it over my wars in order to stop the annoying beeps.

But the person, apparently, didn't like stopping. The beeps went on for seemingly forever before finally I dragged myself off the couch, mumbling "I've got it, I've got it!"

"Hello?" I asked softly into the speaker. Yeah, I was kinda shy. It was just my nature. Unless I was in front of the camera or recording a youtube video, I'm not too social.

"Hey babe." My heart fluttered at the sound of his voice. A smirk danced across my lips as I fell back and onto the couch. Immediately I felt like as I answered "Hi Adam!"

"How're you doing?"

"Fine," I said, which wasn't that big of a lie, considering I was hearing his voice now. "I'm doing fine. How are you?"

"Great, now that I see you!" My eyebrows raised in confusion, and I could hear him chuckling lightly on the other end of the phone.

"What do you mean...see me?"

"Baby, I have a clue. Come to the place where you once collapsed. I have a surprise for you." My eyebrows raised even further, but I nodded softly, and took the phone with me as I walked across the cold floor and into the kitchen. The table was set up perfectly - I had originally planned on Sky and I having a romantic dinner together, but obviously that didn't happen...

A few years ago, Sky and I had been baking. Back then we were just dating, but we had been dating a while, and he moved in with me. While we were baking, I had minor chest pains. I ignored them until suddenly, it hit me and I passed out, into Sky's frightened arms.

I had arrived at the hospital, and woke up a few hours later with Adam worried sick next to my bed. I was fine, though.

But now, in between the two blazing candles which danced and sprung around in the darkness of the room, was a red, heart-shaped box. Next to that was a note, which was propped up by the box. A smirk danced across my lips as I reached out, lay the red box on the counter, and gently popped off the top.

Inside the box was an array of different types of chocolates - caramel, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, nugget...all of them looked delicious.

I smirked down at it, gently running my fingertips over the size of the box. The velvet lining felt soft and fluffy against my skin. I laughed gently before raising the note to my eyes and skimming my eyes over it. The words on the page made my eyes light up,

Dear Ty,

You honestly thought I was gone leave you alone? I could never do that. I've thought up a little, fun game for us to play. Here's how it goes - you track my clues, the ones that I give you - and eventually, at the end of the game, it'll lead to me. There are three clues in all! Leading you here was the first one. I kinda want you to find me quick ;) here's your next clue :

Our first time, celebrating our time together.

Love, Sky,

My smirk widened and gently closed the card, pressing it against my heart before putting it down. I knew exactly where we spent our first anniversary - it's the same place, every single year. I fished my keys out of my pocket and got ready for a pretty long drive.

-Time Skip-

I stepped out of the car, gently slamming the door behind me and pressing the button to lock the car. I smirked up at the restaurant in front of us, then moved my head to look down at the note in my hand. It was a piece of paper, words messily written on it. Sky didn't have the most...ideal handwriting, but I had learned to read it.

Across it was written -

Table for 2, Dahlberg

I smirked, shoving my wallet, along with the piece of paper into my pocket and walking up to the door. I pulled it open, and in rushed the warm air from the heated restaurant. I smirked at the lady who manned the front desk, and she smiled back at me.

"Hello Ty!" She greeted. She knew my name by heart because Sky and I came here so often. I nodded at her before saying something in return "Hello Judy!"

"Are you and Sky coming here today? Oh, that would be a lovely valentines day!"

I smirked back, rolling my eyes "Something like that.

She gave me a confused look, but before she could question me I quickly answered "Um...I'm here for a table for two, under Dahlberg."

She flashed me a smile. "Sure sweetheart." She got busy typing, and before long, a waiter was leading me to a table. An uncontrollable grin spread across my face as I eyed what was sitting on the table.

A note.

I thanked the person before sitting down and grabbing the note. It's sides crinkled in my fingertips as I tore the top open and slid the small paper out. I lifted it to my eyes and began reading once more.

Dear Ty,

Well...I believe this is the last one. Already finished, wow!!! And it isn't even that hard - look behind you.

Love, Adam.

I smirked, knowing exactly what would be behind me. There, standing tall and smiling widely, was my husband. He walked over, dropping his coat on the seat and sitting across from me. Without a second thought he reached out, taking my hands in his and rubbing my knuckles.

"Did you like this?" He asked gently, refusing to let go of my hands. I chuckled and nodded. "No. I loved it."

His grin became wider as the waiter came over, asking for our choices. As I looked at him while he ordered, I was sure of one thing - he wouldn't leave me alone on Valentines Day.

That night, Sky and I had dinner at our favorite restaurant. Then we headed home, just to collapse on the couch and turn on the tv. We watched a movie together - one of my favorites. After that, I was nearly asleep on the couch, so he picked me up and carried me to bed. Once we laid down, I curled up into his chest, and we cuddled for the rest of the night.
