MunchingUniverse - Snow Days
-MunchingUniverse One-Shot-
-No Ones POV-
Tyler lay in front of the fire, his fingers curling and uncurling around the mug of hot chocolate anxiously. He was soaked to the bone, the water cooling him. The blanket that lay over his shoulders provided a little comfort, but not enough to make him feel warm both inside AND out.
Jason walked into the room, stopping to lean against the doorframe. He stared at Tyler as he pulled the blanket even tighter over his shoulders, shivering lightly.
"Here." He mumbled, walking next to the boy and placing the tray down. He was glad to get rid of the burden, which wasn't easy to carry. He curled his legs, sitting down next to Tyler in a criss-cross position.
"Warming up?" He asked, giggling when Tyler shook his head rapidly. "Here." He offered slowly, wrapping his arm around Tyler's shoulders and pulling him closer.
"B-But Jason!" Janet whined. "I wanna go outside and play in the snow!"
Jason laughed. "You just got soaked to the bone out there, and you want to go back out?"
"YES. OLAF IS OUT THERE."
".....the snowman from Frozen?"
A light pink blush traveled across Tyler's pale cheeks. "U-Um...MMMAAAYYYYBBBBEEEEE." Making JASON laugh loudly and give Tyler a squeeze.
"I think he'll be fine. Want to watch a movie?"
"Sure. JUST NOT A HORROR!'
So, of course, that's exactly what Jason picked.
-Halfway through the movie-
-Jason's POV-
Tyler squeaked, burying his head into my side and shaking lightly. Chuckling, I ran my fingers through his hair.
SPLOSH
BANG
PLUP
Went the tv as the main characters brain was forced out of his body. I could hear light sniffling next to me, and I realized with a gasp that Tyler was...crying.
Oh shit.
I turned off the tv before turning to him, gently pulling him up and into my lap. "Hey, you alright?" I didn't see him cry much. Tyler was a very peppy, happy-go-lucky, but sensitive person. Thanks to his personality disorder, learning him was like a maze. A fun one, though.
"Fine." He whimpered. "I really don't like horror. It scares me."
I nodded. "You pick the movie then?" I watched as he got up, walking over to the DVD cabinet and wincing lightly as his legs cracked underneath him. He shuffled through the DVDs for minutes on end, which I found kinda cute.
I mean, come on. He's like a small child.
Not...not like I'm into small children! Oh, shove off.
Finally, he walked over to the tv, being extra careful not to shove me the tape he had picked. He out it in the compartment, then bounded back into my lap. I wiped away some of his excessive tears as the tape rolled.
I chuckled as soon as I recognized the movie. Tyler looked at me, faking looking hurt. "What?' I held up my hands. "I'm allowed to laugh."
A smile danced across Tyler's face, but then he crossed his arms, making me laugh once more as he growled "No your not."
"Yes."
"No."
I won't lie - halfway through the movie - which was, yes, Frozen - I was really into it. I glanced down to see Tyler, who had refused to move from my lap, curled up. His bangs fell over his eyes, and his hand was resting against my chest, fingers curled adorably. His stomach rose and fell in a comfortable pattern as he shifted, snuggling his head into me.
I laughed softly at his adorableness, ruffling up his hair and contemplating my choices here. I could sit here, finish the movie, and watch Tyler sleeping adorably. Or I could get up, carrying Tyler - disturbing his perfect state - and bring us both upstairs.
I decided on the first choice, and sat in silence, watching the movie till the end. As soon as it finished although, I didn't even bother with turning off the tv and got up. I was careful as possible, picking up the sleeping figure and letting him rest his head on my shoulder.
I trudged up the stairs, going slow. Finally I got upstairs and into our bedroom, which was messed up. Thankfully I had forgotten to make the bed, so I didn't have to struggle with getting the covers back.
I set Tyler down carefully, pulling the covers up and kissing his forehead. I then got into bed next to him, pulling the sheets over myself as well and hugging him from behind.
I kissed his ear once more before drifting into sleep, feeling him asleep against my chest.
-Morning-
My eyes fluttered open and I looked around. I was in Tyler and I's bed, laying on my back. He was still asleep next to me, cuddled up to my chest. We must've changed positions during the night. I sat, not moving and waiting for him to wake up.
When he never did, I decided to just get up, and pulled myself off the bed and onto numb feet.
Sneaking downstairs, I dashed into the kitchen and began making breakfast - chocolate chip pancakes, his favorite. I had only been cooking for a good twenty minutes when there was a bang from upstairs, then silence.
"Tyler?" I called. "Are you alright up there?" I took the batter off the stove and went to the bottom of the stairs, peering up,
"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!"
I burst out laughing as the body whizzed down the door, and a bang was heard as he went out the front door.
I turned back to the stove, chuckling as a single thought ran through my head.
Better make more hot chocolate.
