Halloween One - Shot : Skylox : And They Did

-Halloween One-Shot-

"TY!" Screamed the other, his arm outstretched desperately, his eyes wide from fear. The slumped, dead walkers limped forward, closer and closer to his dirty lover, who was nervously trying to climb up the sloppy ladder.

His hand kept slipping, though, and every time he fell, another bruise was added to the quickly growing amount on his body. The groaning and moaning from the undead behind him must've offset him a bit, as well.

"TY!!!" Sky shouted once more, desperately, tears beginning to well up in his eyes. It was so terrifying, watching his love being cornered by the creatures that plagued the earth.

Ty gave one last jump, one last grip, the last time he could get out. If he failed at this, if he fell, he was dead meat. There was no more chances.

His hands gripped the ladder until the knuckles went white, and with a grunt, he struggling to pull himself up.

One bar down. Five to go.

Another one down, four to go.

Three down. Three to go.

Ty was in arm reach of Adam now, peering up at him. He was also officially out of the reach of the zombies, who had collected at the base of the ladder and pounded at it angrilly, a slumped look on their holed faces.

"Ty," Sky repeated for the third fime in the last two minutes, sticking his arms out and giving the other begging eyes. "Grab my arms!"

"No..." Ty panted, his voice full of fear and weight. "I might pull both of us down. I'm not risking that."

One more. Two to go.

One-

"AH!" Screamed Ty, one of his hands slipping, so he was only holding on with the fingers of the other one. His feet scrambled to find another home, his hand dangling uselessly for now.

That's it, Sky thought, and launched himself forward, gripping the one hand that was still holding on. Tys head shot up, surprise and fright etched into his features.

-Skys POV-

"Don't worry," i reassured "give me your other hand. You'll fall Ty, please, do it..."

The look of split second thinking in his eyes terrified me.

But finally, he complied, gripping his arms with mine and looking me to tug him up. The second his hand hit the roof of the building, my arms were around him, gripping him tight and burying my head in his hair.

"Don't worry," i reassured, talking softly, even though the zombies moaned and groaned an orcastra below us. "You're okay now."

---

We decided to camp out on the roof for a while, seeing as we had picked up plenty of food at our last stop and were stocked full right right now.

We lay on our backs, staring up at the night sky, hands clasped together tightly.

"Ty..." I said softly, gripping his hand tighter, and pulling him a little bit closer. Soon enough, his head was laying on my chest, ear right next to my heart, so my heartbeat echoed throughout him.

"Hm?" He asked tiredly.

"No matter what happens..." I breathed, brushing some of the dirt and blood off of him with my palm. "I promise ; really, I do, that I won't leave you behind. I'm never leaving you to die alone."

Tys hand gripped mine suddenly and forcefully, and I could tell that the terror for only hours ago was only just now beginning to seep into his mind.

"I won't leave you, either." He reassured softly, moving his head so he was looking into my eyes. "We love each other too much, Sky."

I giggled, leaning down and pressing a kiss to his bloodied and sweating head. "If that's how I'm going to go out, I'm perfectly okay with that."

"You know what? Me too."

And that's what happened.
