He dissolved into smoke as Gem fell towards the ground, unconscious. I ran up and caught her noticing the bandages on her arm. Muttering a word that I more than likely shouldn't have but I can worry about that later. I untied the bandages and yep, cuts. 'She really had when X mentioned Xornath' I bandaged up her arm again and set her down so another healer could check on her. Poor kid she and her brother had to flee after his empire blew up, she was tortured, and she witnessed her brother and Stress die in front of her. That takes a toll after to long.

(Cleo's POV of the ending)
I tackled Gem in a hug, and we laughed suddenly she started to get up almost in a trance like state and she hugged someone, happy tears flowing down her face as she fell back on the bed.

She wasn't holding a totem, no sparks flew everywhere, something was wrong. "XISUMA!" I screamed frantically. He ran up and was shocked "What happened, I saw the achievement but."- I quickly explained what happened and he said, "Gem must have seen Stress and now...I think she's ****************." (Didn't want to spoil things ;) ). No, no, no I shook Gem"s shoulders trying to wake her up but False stopped me. "Cleo, I know your upset but give it time ." I hugged False crying as she rubbed circles on my back. Grian came back up with a cake the said get well soon maybe for Gem because he couldn't find something that said hey you got chocked by a demon, how are you? But nevertheless he tripped and the cake went 'splat' right onto the floor.
