TW: Panic Attack, Torture, and Cutting (if your not ok with this please skip over I'll put a summary)
Gem's POV
Xisuma or X for short had called a sever wide meeting in the shopping district. About what? I have no idea but I couldn't shake the lingering dread. You see me and Pearl came from a SMP known as Empires SMP a server where multiple content creators such as myself and Pearl all came together and made a magical realm. We had one issue. Xornoth. Xornoth was a demon that harassed our server, turned people evil, kidnapped a ruler, and corrupted the server. So after the other rulers or emperors and I defeated him things went back to normal... or so we thought. X reached out to Pearl and I a little while afterwards and we both discussed it and accepted X's offer. I was lost in thought so I didn't realize when I bumped into Stress. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed quickly. "Oh love, your fine!" She reassured me. I took a deep breath to calm my nerves. Stress welcomed False, Cleo, and Pearl into our little group. "Hey guys!" False said. "If I could have everyone's attention for a sec." X's voice rang out among the hermits telling them to quiet down. "It's come to my attention that there is a player online that wasn't invited or whitelisted." Now Im normally calm but hearing this made me scared. Very scared. I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned around to see Pearl; she looked as shook up as I was but she hid it well. "The players name is... Xornoth." X finished. "If you have any information on him please come to me to talk or describe them as we don't know what they look like, I would also like to say that respawn has been oddly turned off and I can't turn it back on." My blood ran cold. He was here?! Was he going to kill me and Pearl?! Forget respawn Xornoth was here. I slowly slipped out of the crowd hoping not to be noticed. I ran back to my base. My knees buckled and I hit the ground. It felt like I couldn't breathe, why can't I breathe? Tears were streaming down my face, black spots danced in my eyesight. Suddenly something gripped my shoulder. "Gem?" The voice asked. "Gem, can you hear me?" My body shook with each shallow breath. "GEM I need you to calm down, it's going to be ok he isn't here."

~{ First Flashback }~
I headed over to the Crystal Cliffs to get supplies when I figure suddenly appeared in front of me. I screamed and jumped back seeing the creature in my home. "H-hey!" I called trying to sound confident but failing. The creature laughed "Oh Gem, there are so many things in store for you; you just don't know yet." It came closer to me smiling in a twisted way before disappearing.

~{ Second Flashback }~
Me and Scott were hanging out in his empire when Joey and Sausage came out of nowhere. "Hello Gem!" Sausage said with a evil smile creeping up his face. Instantly Scott pulled out his weapon and so did I. If anyone was going down we'd go down with a fight. All I could remember was Sausage chuckling evilly before throwing a splash potion at me and Scott. The egg. My mind said before everything went black. I woke up on a cold, stone floor. "Gem?" Scott called. "Scott, where are we?" I asked. "I don't know but they took everything out of my inventory." He replied. I looked down everything just gone. "Well, well, well, look who woke up." Sausage said menacingly. As he stepped closer to my cell I reached between the space in the middle and slapped him. "...Gem?" Scott asked. "Oh Gem, poor naïve Gem." Sausage burst out laughing. "Your gonna regret that." He pulled out his staff and blasted me with it. I screamed out in pain as electricity surged through my body. I crumpled to the floor like a leaf. Since Sausage liked it so much he did it again, and again until I couldn't scream anymore. I couldn't move, it hurt. Everything hurt. But scone they had manually set my respawn I would always spawn back so they could torture me more. "Why are you doing this, she didn't do anything to you!" Scott yelled at them. "No Scott she had the egg." Joey spoke up. "And you claim to be his brother." Joey spat back. "This thing it's controlling you, snap out of it Sausage!" I tried but he just grinned. "No Gem I have everything I want now, I have power!" He snarled. "And you, you claim to be a wizard Gem, but your nothing, you hold no power." Sausage said every word laced with venom and hate. I could only see him the cause of this itself, Xornoth. Sausage as much as I hated to admit it was right. I held no power; at least not now.

~{ End of Flashbacks }~      

I hadn't realized I had blacked out until I felt someone shaking my shoulders and saying comforting words. "Gem, can you hear me? Pearl asked worry filling her voice. "Gem you scared the life out of me!" She said in a stern yet happy tone. I hadn't realized I was crying either until I felt tears trickle down my face. "I-I'm sorry Pearl I didn't"- she cut me off by saying "It's okay I'm just glad that your ok but we need to talk to Xisuma about Xornoth." I leaned on Pearl for support as she helped me up. After regaining my footing I took a shaky step forward and another, and another. False, Cleo, and Stress came sprinting over concerned looks on their faces turned into relief when they saw us. "You guy's better come back to the shopping district, X sent out search parties and we were one of them." I wiped my eyes once more and walked over with Pearl who was looking like a protective mother. "Oh Gem, love, what happened?" Stress asked. "I-I know who Xornoth is." Cleo, Stress and False looked to one another before False said "Ok well then that's a bigger then expected but we do really need to go to the shopping district immediately." She said. "Let's go then" Cleo said. Stress was busy typing on her communicator.

StressMonster101: Hey guys we're coming to the shopping district. We found Gem and Pearl, they're fine.
XisumaVoid: Ok great everyone please meet in the shopping district then
Grian: Can I keep searching Mumbo's base the 'lag' is terrible here

Stress put her communicator up and back in her pocket. "Let's go, we don't to keep them now do we?" She asked. "L-let's go." I said still shaken up. Pearl put a hand on my shoulder and it made me feel better knowing that she'd been through it to. After all she'd been one of the rulers who'd been in the final battle along with Scott, Shrub, Katherine, and myself. "As long as we're with you no one can hurt you!" False exclaimed. "Does that mean I can break their kneecaps?!" Cleo asked with a wide smile on her face. "Maybe we should try to refrain from that." Stress put in. They all laughed as they continued on the route to the shopping district.

*time skip to when they got to the shopping district; brought to you by Cleo breaking someone's kneecaps*

(Third Person POV)
Xisuma wasn't the only worried one. In fact almost all of the hermits were concerned. But can you blame them? X mentions the name or a unknown player or thing and then the two newest hermits go missing. I mean that's nerve wracking and just out of the blue. Grian, Mumbo and Iskall were the first to arrive followed by Tango, Impulse, and Zed. Then Joe, Scar, and Etho, next TFC, Jevin, and Ren. Followed by. Wels, and Doc and myself. Etc. The last group to arrive was False, Cleo, and Stress and with them was Gem and Pearl. Everyone surrounded the five hermits and demanded answers.

X silenced the hermits and asked to talk to Cleo, Stress, False, Gem, and Pearl privately. When the six hermits got there X asked "Gem, Pearl, your sure your ok?" "Y-yeah, a little shaken up but ok." Gem replied. "But um X, I know who Xornoth is." Gem continued. "He was in the old SMP we were at." Pearl cut in. "We think it might have come back to"- Gem started to shake, tears brimming her eyes. "I-I think he's come back to kill me." To say a silence filled the room would be a lie. X was shocked someone tried to murder Gem? "Wh-why?" That's all he could manage. "BECAUSE HE TRIED TO KILL ME!" Gem snapped. "YOU'LL NEVER KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO BE TORTURED, RESPAWNED, AND KILLED OVER AND OVER AGAIN!" "Ohmygoshimsosorry" The words just fell out of her mouth all scrunched up together. "Gem it's ok but could you tell me how he tried to kill you?" X asked. "No." Pearl said. "I won't let her go into detail about that demon; she's suffered enough." Pearl... Gem thought to herself. Gem ran off quickly accidentally knocking Grian over. Mumbo and Iskall could be heard snickering from the background while Pearl was shouting her name.
(Gem POV)
He's come to kill me

I'm going to die
Tears were running down my face. I ran until I couldn't anymore and just sat there and sobbed.
'If your going to die why not have some fun first? Am I hallucinating? But I mean I couldn't hurt right? I pulled out my sword and stared at it. The shiny iron gleaming in the moonlight. I had never done this. I didn't know what the other hermits would think of me after this but here goes nothing. I took the sword and pressed into my skin, blood coming out of the new wound. I bit back a scream and did it again. More blood came out of the second cut then the first. Did I hit a vein? I brought a water bucket out of my inventory and placed my arm in it. It felt like a million little nails digging into the cuts. This time I screamed. I loud terror inducing scream. I was bleeding heavily I had definitely hit a vein. I wrapped it up the best I could as I made my way back to my base. A figure appeared in front of me and I screamed bloody murder before stabbing it.
