A/N- Character Theme Song

Note: I thought this would be a fun little thing to put together. This is just my opinion, and I haven't factored in all of the character development the characters will have, because that'll kind of be a spoiler. And, these songs only represent parts of the characters' storylines. If you want to know why I chose each song, scroll to the end of this chapter! They're just my interpretations though, and I'd love to hear yours!

I've made the playlist, and I will send the link out as soon as I've figured out if I've got everything right. Also, don't take the songs word for word, as not all of they lyrics will apply.

Eloise—She loves to help other people. Sometimes, it's to distract from her own problems, but most times it's because it's just who she is. It's part of what makes her Eloise. However, she rejects help for herself. Fixers are incredible people, but they are often incredibly broken too. They are too scared to look at their broken pieces because, let's face it—it's a terrifying thing to do! It's easy to give advice, but much harder to take your own.

Rowan—He is hardworking, and often times overworked. His parents don't intentionally define his worth by his achievements at all, but I feel like that's what will end up happening, with the way things are going right now. In life, you need to look at your achievements, your failures, all the times you really messed up, and realise that in spite of it all, you are still enough.

Spencer—He is a ride-or-die friend. He will support you through anything, and will help you in any way he can. He doesn't have all the answers, which frustrates him, but he will never give up on his loved ones. He faced a pretty severe loss at such a young age, and I think that is why he fights so hard for the people he cares about. He knows how precious good, honest people are.

Irene—This was a tricky one. I wanted to focus on the pressure she feels to look after her dad, and how emotionally exhausting that can be, especially for someone so young. For me, the song I chose highlights how much stress she feels, but also how much love she feels for her dad. Sadness is also mixed in though, because she doesn't always recognise her dad as the same person. She knows that he is, but he can't do some of the things he used to, and it's in those moments where she longs for him to come back to her, and for a maternal figure she didn't really desire before.

Elliott—Again, another tricky one. I ended up choosing this song because I think it perfectly captures Elliott's devotion to his family. He doesn't think that he needs anyone else. As long as he has them, he has a home, a career, love, a bright future. That's also why he has such a strong sense of devotion to them—his whole life depends, and is centred around their love.

Atlas—This song is Atlas through and through. We haven't really gotten to see much of Atlas, or atleast not on a deeper level, but that will change. It's interesting, because Elliott and Atlas have quite similar feelings about family. They both believe it is incredibly important. However, where Elliott doesn't think he can live independently from them, Atlas wants to branch out and make a life for himself so he can provide for his family. He wants his own life, but never wants to forget about his family.

Zee—She has gotten really good at farewells. Her older sister, her friends from Moorside, her whole life in that town. She doesn't let people in for that very reason. She doesn't want to go through all of that again.
