The week passed by, consisting of Namjoon eagerly attending math class, finishing most of his work and eating an unhealthy amount of ramen with Jimin. He probably gained a couple of pounds, but he didn't really care, it was food, and Namjoon would never turn down an opportunity for food.
"Tonight's the full moon!" Namjoon squeaked excitedly to a rather dull-looking Jimin. "Can you come take pictures with me this time?"
Jimin snapped his gaze up to Namjoon. "Ah, sorry, I can't." The younger mumbled. "I'm busy."
"You're always busy on the full moon." Namjoon groaned. "And you never tell me why, it's not fair. I'm always alone."
"Sorry, man, but I've got this family tradition that we do on the full moon." Jimin stuttered slightly. "And we can't miss it. It's really important."
Namjoon sighed, nodding reluctantly. "I guess I understand." He mumbled, looking away sadly. On the nights of the prettiest skies and the day of the full moon, Jimin was always busy. Never had he ever even stepped foot outside in the dark with Jimin, and it seemed like an almost monthly tradition for the family. He simply wanted to hang out with his only friend and take pretty pictures: he knew how much of a nerd Jimin was when it came to taking pictures of the galaxy and the skies.
So that's how they parted, with a small, slightly awkward wave and small smiles.
Little did Namjoon know, he'd be in for the wildest night of his life while taking pictures, simply because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"Calm down, Seokjin!"
Jimin's ocean-blue eyes were rounded in disbelief, the stench of his fear strong in the air as the taller and more muscular wolf towered over him. His tail was tucked frightfully between his legs and he was cowering, letting out pitiful whimpers, the sting of the cut on his side getting to his head. Scarlet droplets of his own blood was sprayed onto his silver coat, and Jimin tried not to piss himself in fear as his cousin snapped his jaws at him.
The healer wolf butted her head against her alpha's side, her amber eyes flashing.
"Eat your herbs," the healer snapped.
"Jisoo, he won't kill me, will he?" Jimin whimpered, his smaller wolf form trembling. "You know what happened with my parents."
Jisoo shook her head, her pretty amber gaze resting gently on the silver wolf. "No, you are safe. Seokjin is just a bit different from his father during the full moon transformation." She looked troubled as she stared at the way Seokjin had padded away and was dry-heaving into a corner, having shifted back into his human form. "This would all end if only our ancestors would show us Seokjin's mate." She sighed as Seokjin let out a pained gasp and made a sound that sounded as if he were vomiting. "He's very ill."
Jimin cringed from the rancid stench of Seokjin's vomit, and nodded when Jisoo nodded him off. "Go: he won't be in a better mood."
The blue-eyed wolf nodded, loping out of the den with a soft little whimper, being immediately greeted by a speckled wolf with green eyes by the door, his eyes narrowed in slight defense at the alpha, who was coughing up scarlet liquid in the corner.
"Jisoo," he croaked, and the healer was immediately by his side, a bundle of herbs in her jaws. "Jisoo, close the den."
Jisoo twitched her tail in surprise. "No, Seokjin. You need the moonlight to get stronger."
"I said close it!" He snapped, eyes slitted.
Jisoo's shoulder fur bristled and she reared back. "Alpha, listen to me. Right now, I am in charge of you, and I will tell you that the moonlight is an important factor in making sure you are healthy and strong once your transformation is o—"
She was cut off when Seokjin let out a garbled noise, stumbling back before shifting into his wolf form, his pelt ruffled. The snowy wolf panted heavily before sending Jisoo a wild look, darting out of the den, leaving Jisoo to yelp in alarm.
"Alpha, come back!" She barked, picking up the herbs and chasing after him. She reared her neck back and let out an alarm howl, causing other pack members to look up in surprise.

"The stars are really bright tonight, huh?"
Namjoon mumbled quietly to himself, sifting through his neatly clipped papers to find a couple of his messy sketches of the sky. Tonight, he had chosen a peaceful and bright little spot, the area lit up not only by the moonlight but the fairy lamp he brought along, staring up at the sky through the telescope with a bit of hesitant excitement.
"I'm gonna take the prettiest picture and show Jimin," he murmured, raising his camera by the telescope. Closing one eye, he scrunched up his other eye and peered through the little hole, only to have the telescope stumble and fall down. "Oh, come on." He hissed in annoyance, bending over to grab the fallen object only to freeze in place.
In the corner of his eye..were those eyes? What was that?
Then a tall figure crept out of the woods, clothes tattered and gaze dark.
"Oh," Namjoon relaxed, instantly recognizing the familiar face, "Mister Kim! Are you here to take pictures of the sky, too? It's very pretty tonight."
Mister Kim glanced at Namjoon, his eyes flickering between the telescopes and papers and him. He licked his full lip and Namjoon blinked when his teacher sidled up to him and put a hand gently on the telescope.
"Would you like to t-try?" Namjoon uttered, taken aback by his sudden closeness. His cheeks flared when his free hand gently caressed his side, and his face slowly came into view, engulfing Namjoon's sight, the soft breaths on his lips the scent of mint on his teacher's breath—
And when he closed his eyes, he suddenly felt a rush of cool air and blinked open them again, only to see no one. His flushing cheeks turned even hotter and he squeaked as he stared down at his crotch, immediately crouching down to close his thighs and cover his face.
I must be delusional! He wailed miserably. Daydreaming about my math teacher, I'm insane!

"Jimin, you look happy this morning."
Namjoon was tired as he met the cheerful looking boy, his silver hair tousled up in a sort of natural fluff. The round of his cheeks were dusted pink, and his eyes were round with a sort of glimmer as he gazed at Namjoon, who was sorting through his pictures of the stars.
"Yep, the—erm, family tradition is relaxing." Jimin sighed, standing quietly in front of Namjoon. "You feeling okay?"
"Yeah," Namjoon mumbled, rubbing his eyes. "I fell asleep in the forest last night taking pictures; I'm just glad I didn't get mauled by some bear or something." He looked around and casually fluffed his hair up. "Is, ah, Mister Kim here today?"
Jimin stiffened slightly and shrugged, clearing his throat. "I...I don't know if he'll be here today." He smiled lopsidedly. "He had one too many drinks last night."
He sighed, blowing out a breath. That was good. He didn't want a boner during class...
"Alright, class, sorry for being late. Please pull out your math textbooks and flip to page two-hundred nine!"
Shit.

"Did I hurt you again?"
Seokjin's voice was barely a whisper. The classroom was empty for lunch and Jimin sat back in a chair, tense. "No, alpha, Healer was there to protect m—"
"But what if she wasn't?" Seokjin's breathing turned unnaturally ragged and his eyes glowed gold. He groaned and buried his face into his arms, moaning. "Oh, what kind of alpha am I if I keep hurting you? I swore to protect you since your mother's death," Jimin flinched slightly. Jimin's birth had killed his mother and he had been labeled an unlucky child since then, and his father had committed suicide not long after that, "and I'm not living up to my promise."
"It's okay." Jimin murmured quietly. He got up and hesitantly approached the alpha, nuzzling his nose into the older's neck. "You're like...a really tough older brother to me, alpha. So don't worry."
Seokjin leaned down and pressed a kiss to the younger's forehead, breathing in the soft scent of his younger cousin's warm scent. "I will protect you, Jimin."
Jimin's eyes flickered blue. "T-then...can I tell you about the wolf in our pack called Taehyung?"
