(4) Great timing, teacher!

<<You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching, Love like you'll never be hurt, sing like there's nobody listening, And live like it's heaven on earth.>>

At first I have science and I am happy to meet a new teacher. When the bell rings, I see my classmates pouring into the classroom in a lazy way and, when the teacher arrives, we all say in chorus:

<<good morning, teacher! >>

She responds by greeting us and addressing a smile full of vitality.
Okay, I already like her.
This teacher is quite young, she is not be more than forty years old; she wears glasses, has hair slightly under the shoulders, they are smooth and of a very dark brown. His eyes, illuminated by the sun, take on yellow and green shades, I really like these features. But the thing that gives me the best impression of her is her warm and sincere smile.

She starts by presenting herself: her name is Lucia Ferrante and we will have her for two hours a week. She asks us to talk a little about ourselves, what relationship we have with her subject and so on.
I really like the factor that she smiles all the time, it seems like she has the Sun in place of the heart.

After the first 20 minutes, she gives us a particular activity to do in class: she projects first the photo of a plant cell at the LIM, then she makes us divide into groups of six people. My group is composto of four girls and a boy: Josef.

She explains that she would give a sheet to each of the four groups and, in turn, each of us would have to draw a part of the cell projected to the LIM, on the same sheet, in order to make a collective design. Whoever made the most beautiful drawing, would have had the honor of explaining to the class what cells are, and this explanation would have been worth as the first oral evaluation. I think it's really a great way to get us to socialize a little bit within small groups, but especially to find the first six people to interrogate without charging anxiety, but in fact, making us enjoy.

Miss Ferrante gives the sheets to each group and lets us decide who will be the first person to draw, for us the girl sitting next to me in the circle we have formed around two banquets will begin; her name is Aurora, she has brown eyes and very long brown hair, she wears glasses and seems like a nice girl, with her head on her shoulders.

The teacher starts a one minute timer, when the latter expires the person who is drawing will have to pass the paper to the person next to them, so that they can continue drawing.

After a couple of passes between my group, the ice begins to melt and we laugh constantly. When my turn comes, the teacher congratulates me on how I managed to fix the crooked lines previously drawn by Josef, jokingly teasing him. This joke triggers general laughter, and when the latter begins to fade, we continue the activity with a lot of concentration.

Once it's over, the teacher is undecided between my group and one in which there are only girls, but in the end it's mine that wins and, strangely, I'm just happy to have won, I don't care if I'm among the first to be questioned.
The teacher told us that we would see each other again on Thursday and that she would give us a lesson on cells, while the following Monday it would be up to me and the other five members of my group to explain it again to the class.
I can confirm it again: I love this teacher.

Depending on now I have geohistory, how exciting! Professor Giovanna - insists that we call her that - behaves as she did on Saturday: she stays with the phone and lets us do what we want, so I decide to talk to Aurora just to start making friends with someone.
We immediately begin to converse closely, and I notice that in a short time Josef has approached, complimenting me on the previous drawing. I thank him cordially and go back to talking to Aurora and her cousin Eda, trying to involve him and some other girls from the class come closer. Some even compliment me on my hair or my shirt, which makes me feel appreciated.

We talk a little more until the topic of Professor Signorelli comes up, since we took turns talking about the few teachers we have met so far. Everyone expresses their own opinion on what little we have been able to understand about her. When my turn comes, I decide to express my opinion in all sincerity by saying:

<<in my opinion, Professor Signorelli will prove to be the most competent professor; have you seen how he continually asks if we understood what he explained? Or that he's super nice to everyone? Not to mention her beauty guys...>>

While speaking, I don't realize that a strange and embarrassing silence has fallen in the classroom and, when I look at my classmates, I notice that they are all looking towards the door. I follow their example and I see that she is leaning against the door jamb: teacher Dafne Signorelli, looking at me with that usual smile of hers...
The bell rings and I just wish the floor would swallow me right then and there.
