"Honey, why are you crying?  This is great news!  We're going to have a baby!" Danny smiled.

"Danny, Stop! This isn't good news!" Jessica pushes him away.

"Jessica, don't say that!  This is a baby!  It's our baby.  How could you say that?"

"I promised Nolan I would never have another baby again.  I want him, Danny.  I can't have another child!" She nods.

Danny sighs.

"I took a test last night and was too upset to go into work this morning."

Danny takes Jessica by the hand and walks her to the couch.

"Jess, I don't know what it's like to go through something as traumatic as you have gone through.. but this baby is a blessing.  This baby is apart of the both of us.  It really hurts me when I hear you saying you don't want it."

Jessica covers her eyes and silently cries.

"You don't understand!"

"I just don't you to be upset with this baby.  It's not their fault."

"I just want to be alone, Danny.  Please just let me be alone." She whines.

Danny sighs and places his hand on her leg.
"I love you.  You know I do."

"I do.."

"Delilah loves you."

Jessica's bottom lip quivered.
".... I love her too." She spoke in a high pitched voice.

"This is her baby sibling.  Imagine how excited she's going to be!"

"We can't tell her, Danny.  She's five, we can't expect her to keep this big of a secret.  And it's going to have to stay a secret as long as possible.  From the school especially."

"So you're not thinking about.."

"Terminating?"

"Yeah."

"No!  Danny, I could never do that!"

"Sorry, I-I didn't know.."

Jessica sighs and continues. "I don't know how I'm going to get through this.. I know it's wrong to not be happy about this baby.. but after loosing my son.." Jessica shakes her head as more and more tears roll down her cheeks.

"I know." Danny moves closer and wraps his arms around her small body.

"It's okay.  I'm here for you, okay?"

Jessica hums as she squeezes him tighter.

"You know.. you said Nolan always wanted a baby brother.. maybe this is him saying, Surprise!  I'm sending you the baby I always wanted!"

Jessica buries her face in Danny's chest as she cries harder.

Danny rubs her back and kisses the top of her head.
"It's okay.. don't cry, you'll make yourself sick."

"I miss him so much!" Jessica sobs.

"I know, baby.. but this baby is a little piece of him that you'll be getting back."

Jessica clings onto Danny like she needed him to survive.
Danny just kept speaking to her in a soft and soothing voice.

"I'm going to be with you at all of the appointments.  You won't have to go through any of this alone.

And we won't tell Didi until later.. but when we do, she's going to be so excited!
.. Jessica, you filled this emptiness she had in her life.. she loves you so so much.  You have no idea how special you are to her."

"I love her too." Jessica cries.

Danny smiles and kisses the top of her head.

"And I love you too."

"I love be you too." She says in a super high voice.

Danny chuckles and rubs her back.

"So it's going to be okay.  We're all going to be okay.
This is a blessing."

"Yeah....
  I don't know.. maybe Nolan did send us a baby.  Him as Grace?"

"I don't doubt it!"

".. Maybe.. Maybe they see that we love each other and that.. that this is the real deal and.. a baby would only bring us closer.. as a family."

"That's exactly what I think, baby girl."

Jessica then looks up to Danny and smiles softly.

"You're so beautiful." Danny smiles.

"Thank you." Jessica says in a soft voice.

Danny then chuckles and kisses her lips.
He then presses his forehead against hers and smiles.

"Jess?"

"Yeah?" She responds in a shaky voice.

"I'm so happy.  I want to scream it from the rooftops, Jessica Lange is having my baby!  I know this is hard for you but, this is amazing news to me.. and I can't wait to start this new journey of parenthood with you.  We've done it separately, but now we're a team!  We've got this, babe."

Jessica giggles softly and wipes her tears.
Danny kisses her lips, cheek and neck as he mumbles, I love you, over and over again.
He then places his hand on her stomach and moves his face in front of it. "And I love you too, baby.  Daddy loves you so so much!"
