That evening Danny left feeling upset, and a bit embarrassed.
Of course he didn't regret sharing his feelings, but he just wished things had worked out differently.

"Okay, pretty girl.  Time for bed."

"I don't want to sleep in my bed." Delilah pouts.

"Why not?  It's such a cool room!"

"I don't want to be alone.."

"Baby girl.."

"Can I please sleep in your bed?"

".. Sure, baby."

"YAY!  Can we watch tv?"

"For a little while, then you have to get to sleep."

"It's Friday!"

"I know but you still need your sleep.  It's been a long day."

"It's okay, I took a nap!"

"Delilah.."

"Okay, okay!"

"Thank you." Danny chuckles.

"You're welcome.
.. Daddy, Are you sad?  You and Miss Jessie looked sad when we were leaving her house."

"No sugar.  We're just tired, that's all." Danny smiles softly."

"Okay.. are you excited to see me in the Christmas program?!"

"SO excited!  You're gonna be a star!"

"A star?!  Woaaah!"

"Yep!  Are you gonna support daddy in old age with the millions of dollars you'll be making?"

"Yeah!  You'll live in my house with my husband, my kids, and my boyfriend—"

"Excuse me, little miss, WHAT?!"

"What?" Delilah laughs.

"You said your husband and your boyfriend?"

"Yeah!" She smiles.

"You can't have both!"

"But I want both!" She whines.

"My goodness!  No ma'am!" Danny laughs.

"Yes!  Your I'll kick you out!" Delilah purses her lips.

"Oh Woooow!"

"Yep!  Anyway!  I'm gonna live with you, my kids, my doooogs, my kittiessss, my bunny rabbit, my husband and my boyfriend!  And of course Ms. Jessica."

"Ms. Jessica?  That's sweet."

"Yeah..
  Daddy, do you like Ms. Jessica?"

"I do.. we're good friends."

"I see.." Delilah nods.

Danny chuckles and kisses her cheek.

December 22nd.

Delilah is currently in a rehearsal for the Christmas Eve program at her school.  Instead of watching while the other kids rehearse, she decided to ask her friend a very important question.

"Skylar, I need help."

"With what, Delilah?"

"I need my daddy to make a move."

"Where is he moving?"

"What?  No where!" Delilah looks at her friend like she's crazy.

"Then what are you talking about?"

Delilah sighs and asks, "When your daddy takes your mommy on a date.. what does he do?"

"He takes a shower.. he wears his nice pants and a tie."

"That's all?!" Delilah widens her eyes.

"No!" Skylar laughs. "He'll wear a shirt too!  And he'll do his hair and put cologne on so he smells nice when she kisses him.  And then he might buy her flowers and then they get and the car and leave me and my brother at my grandma's house."

"Okay.. what are some things he tells her that make her happy?"

"You look beautiful.
You smell like roses.
I love you.
.. I like your butt."

"Perfect!  Thank you!"

Danny came to pick Delilah up and she was more than ready to work her magic.

"Hi daddy!"

"Hi, baby!"

"Daddy!" She whispers and pulls him close.

"What?"

"Tell Ms. Jessica she smells like flowers."

"Why?"

"Tell her she's beautiful!"

"Honey."

"Fine!  I'll do it!" Delilah releases her grip and walks over to her teacher.

"What?  Delilah, stop!" Danny quickly followers her.

"Ms. Jessica?" Delilah lightly tugs on her dress.

"Yes, darling?"

"My daddy likes your butt."

"Uhh.."

"Delilah!"

"What?!  I'm helping!"

"I'm sorry, Ms. Lange.  I-I never said that.  I mean, it's nice!  NO!  No that's not what I meant!  I meant it-it- Ohhh.."

Things were already awkward between the two, this didn't help.

"It's okay!  Good job today, Delilah." Jessica smiles at her before walking away.

"Thank you!" Delilah smiles.

Danny sighs and looks down.

"So!  How was work?"

"No dessert for you today, missy."

"Hey what I do?!" Delilah lifts her hands.

Christmas Eve.

"I look so cute!"

"You are the cutest little shepherd I have ever seen!"

"Yep!"

Danny chuckles and takes her picture.

"You're taking my picture!" Delilah giggles.

"Of course I am!"

"Cause I'm cute?"

"Yes!"

"Thanks!"

Danny chuckles and gets down to her level.

"Didi, I just wanted to let you know that if you see Ms. Jessica and she's upset.. it's because today is two years since Nolan went to Heaven."

"Oh no!  Poor Miss Jessie.. I won't say anything, I'll just give her extra hugs."

"That's very sweet, baby.  Now what are we not going to do?"

"Tell Miss Jessie you like her butt.." Delilah looks down with a small pout.

"Thank you!  We don't say things like that!" Danny chuckles and lightly pinches her nose.

Danny dropped Delilah off with her class while his family went to find seats.

When Delilah saw Jessica, she quickly ran to her.
"Merry Christmas, Ms. Jessica!"

"Thank you, Didi!  Merry Christmas!"

Delilah smiled and wrapped her arms around her.
She held on tight and laid her head on her shoulder.

She then looked up and smiled.
"You look very beautiful today, Miss Jessie."

"Thank you, love! You look very beautiful as well."

Delilah giggles and hugs her once again.

Jessica then looks up and sees Danny.
"Hello." She smiles.

"Good evening!  How are you doing?"

Jessica swallows and nods her head.
"I'm okay.. thank you for asking."

Danny nods his head and smiles softly.
Jessica stands up and pulls Danny to the side.

"I don't want things to be weird between us, Danny."

"Me neither. I'm sorry I brought anything up."

"No. No, don't be sorry. It's not good to keep your feelings in."

Jessica then sighs and rubs her head.
"Listen, we'll talk later, okay?"

"Okay."

Jessica gives him a soft smile and quickly gets back to the kids.

During the play Danny saw Jessica sitting there with tears slowly rolling down her cheeks. His heart broke for her.

When Delilah came out he turned his attention away from Jessica and into his daughter.

Delilah was the cutest little shepherd out there.
She made her father very very proud.

"You guys, did you see my baby? Wasn't she great?!
That's a future actress right there!" Danny smiles.

"Definitely! She was so cute!" Anjelica chuckles.

"Wasn't she?!"

Danny then turns to look at Jessica, but she was nowhere to be found.

"Oh no.."

"What, honey?" Zoe turns.

"Nothing.. I'll be right back."

"Okay."

Danny knew Jessica was upset. None of the other teachers had left their seats, only her. He couldn't let her just cry in her room all alone.

Danny walked down the hall, all the way to Jessica's room.

"Jessica.. are you okay?" He asks walking in.  The lights were off and she was in tears.

Jessica turns to him and a sob escapes her lips.

"Oh Jess.. it's okay, sweetie.
It's okay, just breathe." Danny walks to her and holds her in his arms.

"Jessica, I know this is hard.. but you're not alone.
I'm your friend and I'm here for you, okay?"

"Thank you..
God this sucks!" Jessica pulls away and walks to the other side of the room.

"My life is so messed up!  First I have a man that doesn't love me or his son!  Then my life is absolutely perfect and I have this amazing little boy.. and he.. he gets taken away from me and my life crumbles!

.. Now I meet you. Someone that I trust.
Someone that has been nothing but sweet to me!
Someone that.. that I want so badly to be with!" Jessica grabs her hair in her hands.

"But I feel guilty for wanting that!" She shouts.

"I know I shouldn't.. I know he wants me to be happy. All I've been dreaming lately is him and he's so happy, Danny.  His smile.. his giggle.. FUCK!"

"Of course he's happy, Jessica.  Nolan is free.
He will never feel pain again."

"I know.. I find comfort in that, I do.. I just want him back.. I want him back!" She cries.

"I know that there's nothing I can say that will bring you comfort but—"

"No.. but you're here. That's all that matters. Thank you."

"Of course."

Jessica then turned to Danny and he smiled.

"What?" She asks.

"Nothing!"

"Why did you look at me like that?"

Danny sighs and looks down.

"Why is your face red?"

"Geez, calling me out, Jess!"

"Are you okay?" Jessica was so clueless but so sweet and adorable.

"I'm fine it's just.. you look absolutely stunning tonight, Jessica."

"Oh! Thank you." She smiles.

"You're welcome..
When I see you I get this feeling inside me that I haven't felt since Grace
.. and when I first got here I actually felt my heart skip a beat.. I felt my knees shake.. That sounds dorky but.. it's true."

Jessica wanted to start crying all over again.

"Thank you! I've never.... no man has ever spoke to me so sweetly before.. Wow.."

"Really? That's terrible.  You deserve to be spoken to that way daily, Jessica."

"Yeah well.."

"I hope one day you love again, Jessica Lange.
.. and I hope whoever you end up with treats you like the queen you are."

Jessica looks at him with tears rolling down her cheeks.

"You really feel that way?"

"Yes. I have such strong feelings for you, Jess..
I want you to be happy.. even if I'm not the one to put a smile on your face each morning.

.. Just know I'm super jealous of whoever that person may be."

Jessica looked at him and everything felt right.
She then walked towards Danny. She grabbed his cheek and crashed her lips into his.

Danny was shocked at first, but soon they fell deeper and deeper into a passionate kiss.

When Danny slid his hands up the back of Jessica's sweater, she felt her center burning for him.
Her underwear now wet, she knew she had to have him now.

Jessica reached down and grabbed his hard member through his pants.

Danny then broke away from her lips and he left wet kisses on her neck.

Danny chuckles and nods his head.

"Sure!" Jessica smiles and pulls her sweater off as he slides in a bit more.

"You okay?"

"Perfect." Jessica smiles.

Jessica wrapped her arms and legs around him as he began with gentle thrusts.

Danny's face was buried in the crook of Jessica's neck as he slammed his lower half into her.

Both heavy breathing, moaning and sweating, Danny and Jessica felt their release quickly approaching.

"Oh! Oh Danny, I'm gonna come!"

Danny breathes harder as he bites the soft skin on Jessica's neck.

"Oh Jess!"

"Danny! Danny!" Jessica cries out.

Jessica's back arched, pressing her breasts against Danny's chest.

"Shit! Oh wow!" Danny said looking down and seeing the pleasure in her face.

He then returned to her neck and sucked on her delicate skin.

"Oh Danny.." Jessica moans softly.

Danny kissed down her neck and chest, then back up to her lips.

"Thanks!" Jessica smiles.
"You were amazing I need to give you a gold sticker!"

"Will you move my clip to green, Ms. Lange?"

Jessica giggles and softly runs her finger tips along his arm. "You betcha, Danny Boy!"

Danny chuckles and kisses her lips once again.

It turned out to be a pretty amazing Christmas after all.
