"That's Ms. Miller from school, daddy!" Delilah whispers.

"I know.. uh, Jess?"

"Kathy, please talk to me.  You can't say anything!"

"Jessica, this is big!"

"Let's sit down and talk.  Please hear me out before you say anything."

"I'll take Delilah to the car, okay?" Danny says.

"Alright." Jessica nods.

"Let's go talk outside, Kathy."

Kathy follows Jessica outside where there was a bench for them to sit.

Kathy then takes a deep breath and points to Jessica's hump. "This is his baby?" She asks.

Jessica nods her head.
"Yes."

"Wow!  And I really stood up for you, Jessica!  Turns out you're just another—"

"Please don't!  You don't understand!  I've never been loved the way I am loved today.  The only other boyfriend I've ever had was abusing.. I didn't think I deserved a man like Danny.. but then he came into my life and.. we just happened.  I've opened up to him about it losing my son."

"You lost your son?"

Jessica nods. " He was hit by a car on Christmas Eve two years ago."

"I had no idea!"

"I was a mess!  But Danny came into my life and.. he taught me that it's okay to be a mess.  It's okay to cry, and to be and be angry.. he also taught me that it's okay to love again.  My son wouldn't want me to be upset.. he would be happy I'm giving him a baby sister.." Jessica says in a shaky voice as she gently rubs her belly.

"And Delilah.. she's a little ball of love.  I love her like she were my own.  I'm happy now.  I'm with an amazing man, I have this sassy little girl!  And now another little baby girl on the way." Jessica looks down at her bump.

"And I have an amazing job.  I absolutely love teaching those children.  It's such a joy.
  So please.  Don't take that away from me." Jessica says in a tearful voice.

Kathy looks at Jessica and pauses for a moment.
She then stands and looks down at Jessica as if she were trash.

"You disgust me, and you will get what you have coming to you, Ms. Lange."
She then walks off leaving Jessica in tears.

She was heartbroken.  She knew she was going to lose her job, and that pained her so badly.

After calming herself down, she walked to the car.
Danny saw her and got out, leaving the air on for Delilah.

"Is Miss Jessie okay?" Delilah asks when she sees her in tears.

"Yeah, baby.  Just stay in here, okay? Let me talk to her.
... Jessica.. what happened, honey?"

"She's gonna tell them." Jessica says in a muffled voice.

Danny wraps his arms around her and holds her tight. "I'm so sorry.  You don't need that job, baby.  I'll take care of you and our girls anyway."

"That's not the point, Danny!  I love my job so much!  Now she's going to tell them and they're going to fire me!  I don't want to stop teaching!" Jessica cries.

"I'm so sorry.. maybe they won't fire you.."

"They will!  They've already spoke with me about it.
I'm done!"

Danny sighed and rubbed her back.  He felt terrible for her.

"I love those little kids.. and I won't even be able to finish the year out with them.. my first year! I promised Nolan! I promised him I would be a good teacher! He knew how much I wanted this, and he was so excited!"

"Honey, honey, calm down. You'll make yourself sick.
.... You did it, baby! Nolan is so so proud of his momma! So don't worry about that because you are incredible! The kids love you! You're cool, fun Ms. Jessica!"

Jessica sniffles and holds him tighter. She was crushed.

Two days have passed, and nothing has happened.  Jessica hasn't even seen Kathy at school.  She thought it was weird but, she didn't mind her not being there.

Thursday evening, Danny and Delilah came over to Jessica's for dinner.

"Baby, this is delicious!  You're such a good cook!"

"Thank you!" Jessica smiles cutely.

"Yeah, Ms. Jessica!  It's so yummy!"

"I'm glad you like it, baby!  Oh and Didi?"

"Yes, ma'am?"

"When we're not at school, you don't have to call me Ms. Jessica.  Just Jessica or Jessie is fine." She smiles.

"Really?"

"Of course! I'm having your baby sister!" Jessica giggles. "We're pretty close!"

"We are!" Delilah says with the sweetest little smile.

"..Jessica!" She cracks up.

Jessica laughs just as her home phone rings.

"Oh gosh." She sighs. "Excuse me just one second, guys."

"No problem, baby."

"No problem, Jessica." Delilah stuffs her mouth and giggles.

...

"Daddy!"

"Yes?"

"I think we need to name my sister!
She has to have a beautiful name like Delilah! Delilah is a beautiful Beautiful name!"

"It is a beautiful name!"

"The most beautiful!"

"Heh! Well thank you! I picked it out so.." Danny shrugs.

"You're silly, daddy!" Delilah laughs.

"I'm just so silly!" He plays.

"Danny!" Jessica runs back to the kitchen.

"What's wrong? Who was that on the phone?"

"Nancy.." Jessica said as if she just saw a ghost.

"From the school? Oh no.. Kathy.. did she.."

"She's dead."

"What?!" Danny's eyes went wide.

"WHAT?!" Delilah screams.

"Oh I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said it in front of her!"

"It's okay! What happened?" Danny asks.

"I-I don't know. But she's gone!"

"Well.. I guess that problem is taken care of."

Jessica gasps. "Daniel, how dare you! This woman just died! She has kids! This is terrible!"

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! You're right! I don't know what I was thinking!"

".... But uh.. I guess I still have a job!" Jessica smiles.

"YAAAAAY! Ms. Jessica isn't getting fired!"

Jessica laughs as she walks over and hugs Delilah.
"This is bad though. Her family must be so upset right now, so we're going to keep them in our prayers, okay?"

"Okay. I'll pray!"

"Such a sweet girl." Jessica smiles softly and places a kiss on her cheek.

"Now! Can we name my baby sister, please?"
