April 14th.

"Ugh I don't want to get up!" Jessica rolls onto her back.

"Oh my goodness, you are so big!" She chuckles and places her hands on her bump.

"How is mommy going to keep hiding you? You just want everyone to see you, don't you?

.. Oh baby.. I'm sorry for the things I said about not wanting you. Of course I want you. I love you!
I'm just so scared of losing you. I lost your big brother and.. it's the worst thing that I've ever gone through..

But now I know he will protect you.
Nothing bad is going to happen.. I know it."

Jessica then giggles as the baby kicks.
"You know it too! Gosh, you are so cute!

Okay.. we better get up, huh?
Ah but I'd rather be lazyyyy!" She says stretching out and yawning loudly.

Lunch.

The weather was so beautiful today, a few of the classes were able to eat out in the courtyard.

Jessica sat back on the bench and smiled softly as she felt her baby move inside of her. Jessica hated not being able to touch her belly, but she obviously didn't want to give away her secret anytime soon.

Suddenly, Jessica was pulled from her thoughts.

"Miss Jessie! Miss Jessie!" Delilah ran to her.

"What's wrong, sweetie?"

"I got a tummy ache like you did the other day!"

Jessica sits her on her lap and whispers in her ear. "Shh.. Don't tell anyone I was at your house, remember?"

"Oh yeah! I just want to cuddle. I'll feel so much better!"

"Okay, sweetie pie!"

"Oh! Your belly is grumbling! I felt it move a little bit! Do you have a tummy ache too?"

"You felt that?" Jessica smiles softly.

"Yeah! Why is your tummy so big?" Delilah makes a face and readjusts herself.

"Honey, stop. That's not nice."

Eventually Delilah fell asleep on top of Jessica.
That's when one of her friends moved beside her.

"Jess!"

"Yeah?"

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, why?"

"You seem different."

"Oh.. well no. I'm good!" Jessica smiles.

"Are you pregnant?"

"What?! I don't even have a boyfriend!" Jessica nervously giggles.

"One night stand?"

"No! No, why would you— Why would you ask that?"

"You're a very small person, Jess.. and well.. you just look different!"

"Oh I look fat? Thanks!"

"No! Different! Plus, you're wearing baggy clothes!"

"So?"

"Are you hiding something?"

"No! Definitely not! If you saw me when I was pregnant with my son, you'd know there's no hiding that baby!" Jessica chuckles.

"You have a son?"

Jessica nods. "Mhm.. his names Nolan.. he passed away when he was four years old.."

"What?! Jessica, I am so so sorry! I won't bring it up again! I had no idea!"

"No, it's okay.."

"I'm so sorry."

".. He's in a better place."

"Yeah.. wow.. I had no idea."

"It's hard to talk about so.. I don't."

"That's understandable."

Jessica nods softly then looks down to Delilah who was frowning in her sleep. The baby in her belly was gently kicking the older child's leg.

Jessica giggled, and in her mind she spoke to her baby. "Are you kicking your big sissy?"
In that moment she realized that this was Delilah's baby brother or sister. Of course she knew before but, right now it Really hit her, and she didn't want to keep this from her any longer. She just had to trust Delilah not to say a word.
