"Breathe, mommy.  Come on, like me, innn annnd ouuut.. Innnn annnd ouuut.."

Jessica breathes in and out and rubs Delilah's back.
"I'm okay now, honey.  Thank you."

"You're welcome.  Just stay calm, okay?"

"I will, baby." Jessica smiles softly.

By now another teacher has come in, as well as a couple other staff members to help Jessica and Delilah to the office.

Once getting situated they call Danny.

Danny's POV.

"Mr. Huston, do you have a moment?"

Danny sighs.
"No.  Actually, I don't.. But, I'll make time.  What's up?"

"I have-" Just then his cell phone rings.

"It's the school!  Oh my gosh.  No.."

"What's wrong?"

"I think it's baby time." Danny looks up to his assistant with wide eyes.

"Oh my goodness, answer it!"

"Oh yeah!

Hello?

"Danny?" Jessica tilts her head to the side as she slowly rubs her round belly.  Her voice shaking.

"Honey, what's wrong?"

"Baby.. my water broke.  We're havin' a baby.."

"Oh my gosh!"

"Baby time?" His assistant asks.

"Yep!"

"Well go!"

"I will!  Bye!
Jessica, honey I'm on my way!"

"Okay.. do I wait for you?"

"I-I don't know."

"They want to take me to the hospital."

"Okay, Yeah!  Let them take you so you can go ahead and get signed in."

"I wanna wait for you!" Jessica whines with her face in a frown.

"Okay honey, I'm coming!  Jessica Lange, didn't I tell you this was gonna happen?"

"Save the I told you so's for later, Daniel!" Jessica cries.

"Okay, I'm sorry.  Don't cry, baby."

"Please drive safe!"

"I will, Princess.  I love you."

"I love you too.."

"Breathe and stay calm."

"I will.. buh bye."

"Bye beautiful."

Danny then hangs up and shouts as he jumps up in the air, "I'm havin' a babyyyyyy!"

Jessica's POV.
30 minuets later.

"Ohhh.. where is he?" Jessica breathes heavily.

"It's okay, mommy.  He's on his way, he'll be here soon." Delilah smiles.

"Baby girl you're so sweet.. and you're so smart.
And strong!  I'm so happy you're here with me."

Delilah smiles and kisses her cheek.
"Love you, mommy."

"I love you more, Didi."

"I'm here!" Jessica hears her fiancé.

"DANNY!"

"Hey!  Ya ready?"

Jessica chuckles.
"What do you think?"

"Right.  Dumb question!  Sorry!"

"It's fine!  Danny, we have to hurry, these contractions are getting closer and stronger."

"Alright, let's go!"
Danny walks around and takes Jessica's hands.
He helps her stand and she looks into his eyes.

Her eyes water and her bottom lip quivers.

"Honey, don't cry."

"I'm scared.."

"Don't be scared, it'll be alright, love."

"I'm not scared of giving birth.  I'm scared of seeing her."

"Why?"

Jessica rubs her eye and sniffles.
"What if he feels I'm replacing him?"

"Jessie, he doesn't feel that way.  Remember your dream?"

"Yes.. Still, this is hard for me.  I'm so happy, Danny.. I love her so so much!  I'm just terrified of it happening again.  I can't ho through that twice, Danny!"

"Baby girl, you won't! Don't think like that, everything will be fine.  Our girl will be fine..
Now let's go because this little girl is on her way." Danny smiles.

Jessica sniffles and nods her head.
Danny kisses her forehead and gives her a hug.

"Oh my gosh! What are you two thinking? It's baby time and you guys are making out!" Delilah shouts.

Jessica chuckles and nods her head.
"Let's go have a baby, guys.." She smiles softly.

On the road.

"Daddy, she's having another one!  Her constructions are five minutes apart!  I know that cause the last one was at two O O!  Now it's two O five!  That's five from the last one."

"Thanks for being time keeper, honey." Danny says.

"Yes.. Thank you." Jessica says as she breathes through a contraction.

"You're welcome!  Do they have snacks at the hospital?"

"Yes." Jessica quickly answers.

"They do?"

"Mhm." She hums.

"...What kind?"

"I don't know, Didi but I really really need you to stay quiet for me, okay?"

"No talking?  At all?  Not even a little bit?"

"No.  I'm sorry but I just need silence right now, baby girl."

"Okay.. sorry!" Delilah whispers with a smile.

"It's okay." Jessica breathes out as she reaches over and rubs Delilah's back.

"You're doing great, honey." Danny says.

"Shut up!" Jessica shouts.

"Hey why aren't you nice to me like you were to Didi?"

"Because you're the reason I'm in pain!"

"Oop!  That was funny, Mommy!" Delilah whispers to Jessica.

Delilah then lays her head on Jessica's arm and looks up to her as Jessica breathes deeply.

Delilah lays her hand on the side of her belly and gently rubs it.

By now Jessica's contraction has past, and she was back to her normal self.
Jessica looked down and softly patted Delilah's leg.

"Are you excited for your little sister?"

"I am SO excited, mommy!  Nyla will be so beautiful! Just like you!" She says smiling up to Jessica.

"Aw!  That's sweet, but you're the most beautiful!"

"Mommy, so are you! You're like a movie star!"

"Aw baby girl, aren't you sweet?"

"Mhm!  I am!"

Jessica giggles and kisses the top of Delilah's head.

At the hospital.
One hour later.

"Five centimeters, baby.  That's good!" Danny smiles as he lightly squeezes Jessica's hand.

"I guess so.."

"It is, mommy!" Delilah smiles from the chair beside Jessica's bed.

"Thank you, my love.  How do you like your snack?"

"It's yummy!"

"Good.  Grandma is gonna come get you later, okay?  It's gonna be a loooong night, so we'll call you when the baby's born.  Sound good?"

"Mhm!"

Jessica smiles softly before she feels yet another contraction coming.

"Ooh.."

"Another one!  Breathe, mommy."

Jessica breathes deeply, and the room goes silent until the pain has passed.

"That one was Really strong."

"I could tell by your little scrunchy face." Danny says.

"Your construction face looks like this, mommy!" Delilah scrunches her little face.

Jessica laughs. "I don't know if I'm that cute!"

Delilah giggles cutely before Danny interrupts. "Didi.. Contraction."

"What?" Delilah tilts her head to the side.

"It's a contraction, not construction." He chuckles.

"Leave her alone, it's cute!" Jessica chuckles.

"Yeah Daddy, leave me alone!"

Jessica giggles before placing her hands on her round belly.

She sighs and says, "I'm ready for her to come out."

"I know, baby.. Hey, can I ask you something?"

"Yeah."

"How long have you been in labor?"

Jessica looks Danny in the eyes as her lips purse.

"Why do you want to know?"

"Just wondering!" Danny smirks.

"I know the answer!"

"Delilah, don't.  If you do I'll give you a bad grade."

"What? You're silly!" She laughs. "Mommy said she's been hurting for HOURS!"

"Hours?  I see."

"Daniel, I went to work while in labor, so what?  I didn't have the baby on my desk!  I made it to the hospital, it's fine."

"I know!  It's okay, I was just asking." He chuckles softly.

Danny then leans forward to kiss her forehead. "You're so strong.  Most women would have stopped working weeks ago.  You're a tough momma."

"Heh!  Well we'll see about that- Ow, I feel another contraction coming.."

45 minuets later.

The doctor encouraged Jessica to take a walk to get things moving along.  With the help of Danny, Jessica was able to get up from her bed.

"This is fun!  I like hospitals!" Delilah smiled as she walked beside Jessica.

"You do?"

"Mhm!  They have good snacks and lots of babies!"

Jessica chuckled before suddenly coming to a stop and hunching over.

"Oh no!" Delilah gasps.

Jessica's face scrunches up as Danny holds her for support.

"You're okay.. just breathe through it, honey.. you're doing so well.  I'm so proud of you."

"Ah!  Ow!  Oh my gosh, this hurts!"

"It's okay, breathe.  Breathe that pain away, Jess."

Jessica moans softly as Delilah looks up with a fearful look in her eyes.

"Dammit.. owww.."

Danny just stood there holding her as Jessica let all of her weight fall onto him.  Soon the pain passed, and they continued their walk.

"Look!  It's the baby nursery!" Delilah smiles.

"Oh it is, Didi!  This is where Nyla will be in just a few hours!  Isn't that cool?"

"YEAH!"

Just one look and Jessica felt a lump in her throat.

"He was right there.." She speaks softly.

"What, baby?" Danny turns to her.

"I.. I.. um.. George.. he has a picture uh-of uh.. of Nolan." Jessica stutters, her voice shaking.

"Oh.. Jess, I'm sorry!  Let's head back."

Tears fill Jessica's eyes as she nods her head. "No.  No, I want to stay.. Just give me a few minutes, okay?"

"Alone?"

"Yes, please.  I'll be fine.  I just need to be alone for this."

"Okay.  Come on, Didi.  Let's give mommy some privacy."

"Okay.."

Jessica slowly walked over to the window with tears just rolling down her face.  She remembered her baby boy's newborn face.  His cute little button nose, and blonde hair.  His plumped lips, and his chubby cheek.  Jessica missed him so badly and wished she could hold him in her arms one more time.

"Nolan.. I just have to talk to you for a little while.. talking to you always makes me feel better." Jessica sniffles and takes a few deep breathes to calm down.

"Nolan.. I want to tell you again how much I love and miss you.. I hope you've had an amazing seventh birthday so far.." Jessica speaks in a low and shaken voice.

"I really hope this baby waits a few more hours to come because, I want October sixth to forever be your day.. but I know that this is you.  If she's born today it's because you wanted to share your birthday with your baby sister.  I know you love her so so much, and I know she loves you too.  Thank you for watching her and playing with her these last nine months.  I know you will continue to watch over her forever and ever, baby boy.  I love you so much.. never forget how much mommy loves you.."
