The next day Danny, Jessica, and Nyla were released to go home.

"Nyla butt, we're headed home, baby!  Are you excited to see your sister again?"

Nyla looks up to her mother from her car seat.

"Look at those big beautiful eyes!  Oh Nyla, you look just like your big brother.. It's so crazy, I feel like I'm looking at him." Jessica says, her eyes filling with tears.

Jessica then kisses her nose and smiles.
"It's crazy.. kissing her, I feel so connected to Nolan.  It's like I'm kissing him too."

"Well she's a piece of him, babe.  You have a piece of Nolan back in your arms." Danny says.

Jessica smiles and wipes her tears.
"Yes I do."

"My baby sister is home!"

"She's also sleeping, so quiet down, little miss." Danny says to Delilah.

"Aw, she's okay! Nyla will have to get used to the noise, huh Didi?"

"I know that's right, momma!"

Jessica giggles as she kneels down to hug Delilah.
"I missed being home with you, sweet girl." She kisses her cheek.

"I missed you guys being home!  But now you're back and you don't have to leave until the next baby comes!"

"Uhhh!" Jessica looks up to Danny and laughs.

"Don't even start that." Danny nods his head and chuckles.

Delilah giggles and hugs Jessica as tight as she possibly could.

2:00 am.

Danny held Nyla against his bare chest as he gently rocked her.

"This one is a terror, Jess."

"Stop that!  You big meany!  Give her to me.  Maybe she doesn't like you." Jessica sticks her tongue out at him.

".. Come here, baby girl.. Yeah, you're okay!  You are okay, Princess.  Mama's here.." Jessica says as the baby starts to settle down.

"You see?  She likes Mommy!" Jessica smiles.

"Well look at what she's laying on! I'd be calm if I had two boobs as pillows too!"

Jessica laughs and looks down to her baby girl.
"Oh gosh.. This is.. This is just too perfect to be real." She said softly caressing her chubby cheek.

Two weeks later.

"Mommy?"

"Yes my love?"

"Daddy just did my hair, isn't it beautiful?" Delilah asks Jessica who was currently nursing Nyla.

"Oh my goodness, Yes!  It's stunning, Didi!  Daddy's really good at doing your hair, isn't he?"

"Yeah cause he's the best daddy in the world!"

"He sure is!" Jessica smiles.

"Yeah.. Mommy, I don't wanna go to school until you come back."

"Honey, I'm sorry but you have to go."

"But-" Delilah whines.

"You have to go to school baby girl, I'm sorry."

"It's not fair that I have to go to school and you, daddy, and baby sister get to stay home!  Why am I the only one that has to work?!"

"Daddy's still working.  He's working from home, sweetie."

"I can do my work at home!"

"Baby girl, don't do this to me.. It's only for a few hours."

"Don't you need my help?" Delilah asks sweetly.

"Of course! But you don't have to worry about your big sister duties until after school."

Delilah sighs. "Wow."

"What?"

"Where's the love?"

Jessica chuckles. "Honey, I love you more than anything! But your little butt has to go to school!"

Delilah pouts and whines.

"I'm sorry." Jessica looks down and sees Nyla had fallen asleep.  She covers herself back up, and turns her attention back to Delilah.

"She's so cute!" Delilah says cutely.

"She is.." Jessica smiles.

"Ugh!  And I have to leave her!"

"Delilah."

"I know!  Gosh!" Delilah rolls her eyes.
"I'm going!  BUT.. I will not have fun!" She points her finger at her mother.

"I'm sorry, honey."

"Didi time to go, kiss momma goodbye." Danny walks in.

"Bye.." She pouts and kisses Jessica.

"Bye bye sweet girl.  I'll see you in a few hours."

"Mommy I really hate my teacher, why can't you come back now?" Delilah says on the verge of tears.

"I'm still healing, sweetie.  I'll go back soon, I promise."

"Fine.  Bye sissy." Delilah places a kiss on her baby sister's cheek.

"I'm off to begin a Horrible Day!"

Danny chuckles and nods his head. "You may not be her real mother, but that child is just like you!"

Jessica giggles. "We were meant to be mother and daughter!"

"Hah!  Seems like it!"
