Chapter 47: The Big Day

Whaaaat? Two chapters within 24 hours? Who am I? 😳

Author's POV:

Jimin could hear music as he was lead down the hallway. He felt butterflies, but not the kind a person normally feels on their wedding day. It was more like the kind someone feels when they're on their way to face their biggest fear. He wanted to cry but no tears would form. Before he could realize it, he was standing in front of two huge double doors. Everything went silent for a moment and that's when the doors opened revealing a beautiful garden with an isle leading to Jungkook and a priest.

He gripped the bouquet in his hands tightly wanting to hide behind it. He didn't notice that he was frozen until Ms. Lee nudged him to walk. His breath quickened as he got closer and closer to the end. He didn't want to do this anymore. He thought about turning around and running away, but when he looked back there were guards blocking every potential exit. There was no going back now.

As he kept walking, he noticed that other people were there in the audience. He wondered who they were and how Jungkook got them to come. The strangers looked at him fondly, probably very happy for him. If only they knew that this wasn't any regular old wedding, maybe they'd pity him instead. He looked to his left and saw Jihyun. His face was the only familiar one in the crowd and it looked just as miserable as his.

He looked back forward and realized that the isle was coming to an end. Jungkook was right in front of him now holding his hand out for the other to grab. He looked very handsome. Jimin was sure that he could have anyone he wanted, but why did he want him so badly? Why was he doing any of this? Jimin's thoughts were interrupted once Jungkook cleared his throat. Jimin noticed that he'd been standing there frozen again.

He took Jungkook's hands and kept his head down as the ceremony began. The priest went on and on about what marriage meant and how the two would be bonded together forever. It was making Jimin sick to his stomach. Not after long the man asked for the rings. Once he did, a man stood up and Jimin recognized him. It was the same man from that horrible night that scarred him mentally and physically. The man smirked at Jimin sending chills down his spine before handing the ring to Jungkook.

"Thanks Jackson." Jungkook took one and gave the other to Jimin. "I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness. As I place it on your finger, I commit my heart and soul to you. I ask you to wear this ring as a reminder of the vows we have spoken today, our wedding day." With that Jungkook slide the ring on Jimin's tiny finger. Jimin looked closely at it realizing that it was the same ring he gave to Namjoon for evidence. How did Jungkook have it again? "Your turn Jimin." Jungkook smiled.

Jimin took a deep breath. As he repeated after the priest. "I will forever wear this ring as a sign of my commitment.. and the desire of my heart." Jimin spoke with no emotion. It was like he was reading a script. It wasn't until the next part where he started feeling the effects of what he was actually saying. "This ring I give to you is a token of my love and devotion to you. I pledge to you all that I a-am and all that I will... that I will.. ever be.. as your husband. With this ring, I g-gladly marry you.. and join my life.. to yours."

Jimin could even make him self believe this lie. How could he gladly marry the man who kidnapped him, murdered his friend, and threatened his family. After a few minutes, he felt Jungkook squeeze his wrist so he looked up. Everyone's eyes were on him. He hadn't realized that he had been tuning everything out.

"What?" Jimin asked as he wasn't really paying attention.

"I said, do you, Park Jimin, take Jeon Jungkook to be your lawfully wedded husband to have and to hold for richer or poorer till death due you part?" The priest repeated. Jimin gulped looking around. He wanted to scream 'no' to the top of his lungs. Jungkook, who was in a hurry, sensed his hesitation and leaned in to whisper in his ear. Jimin flinched as he did.

"Look at the top window furthest to the left." Jimin obeyed and he saw a man with a gun aimed directly at his brothers head. His heart stopped. "Just a reminder of why you're doing this. Now give me the answer that I want or flower petals won't be the only thing we'll be scraping off the isle." Jimin could feel tears this time.

"I-I do."

"Then I happily pronounce you husbands. You may kiss-" Before the priest could finish, Jungkook wasted no time pulling Jimin in by his hips and kissing him deeply. Jimin only stood there letting it happen. He had drowned out the claps and cheers. He couldn't feel anything anymore. Jungkook hastily pulled him down the isle still hanging on to his waist when someone spoke up.

"Stop! No! You can't do this to him! You can't!" Jihyun was hysterical. Jimin started crying once he heard the desperation in his brothers voice. Jungkook sighed in annoyance before signaling some guards to grab him before he could draw anymore attention. They pulled him back into the palace along with the couple. They gathered into the living area of the building. The men sat Jihyun down on the couch and Jungkook put Jimin down next to him. The brothers hugged each other tightly as the younger rolled his eyes. Jackson was the last to walk in. Once the doors closed, Jungkook spoke to his men.

"Go on and see to it that our guest get out of here." Just then Ms. Lee entered the room.

"What is going on? I need my wedding party getting ready for the reception." She stressed not really reading the situation.

"There's been a change of plans. The reception is now canceled. Give away the food and gifts as they leave. Jimin and I need to get out of here now."

"Why what's going on?" She panicked.

"They're here at the gate sir, but our men will be able hold them off in time for you to get away." One of the men spoke.

"Shit! That stupid detective is really starting to irk me with how good he is." Jungkook ran his fingers through his hair in frustration.

"Detective? Why are you being followed by a detective? Are you a criminal?" She went on and on annoying Jungkook, who was already on edge, even more.

"You ask too many fucking questions! Jackson, kill her." He said finally having enough of the foolish woman. Without hesitation, Jackson immediately lift his gun leaving no room for reaction.

"What no-" BANG

Her cold body fell to the floor, as the blood from the bullet hole in her head oozed onto the carpet. She was gone just as quickly as she came.

"Anymore questions?" He asked with sarcasm laced in his tone. The room was silent. Jungkook's men were unfazed since this was pretty much an everyday thing to them. Jihyun and Jimin on the other hand were frozen in shock.

"H-How could you?! She was an innocent woman and you just killed her!" Jimin yelled from his seat.

"Baby calm down. She knew too much anyways. It was just her time to go." He brushed it off as if murder was no big deal.

"You're not a fucking god! You can't dictate whether a person should live or not!"

"She talked too much and that was going to ruin our happiness Jimin. I needed to do what was necessary."Jimin stood up with his fists balled. Anyone in the room could tell that he was pissed.

"You're a fucking monster!"

"Oh yeah?" Jungkook's volume grew to match Jimin's.

"Yeah!"

"Everyone get out. Jimin and I need to speak privately." The men grabbed Jihyun, who of course put up a fight, and left the two alone. Once they were gone Jungkook continued. "That's all I'll ever be to you isn't it? A fucking monster. It doesn't matter that everything I do is for you. It doesn't matter how much I love you. You'll always deny me won't you?"

"You don't love me Jungkook. You're sick and you need help." Jimin tried to speak with more compassion this time.

"NO IM NOT AND NO I DONT!" Jimin jumped as Jungkook began storming over to him. He tried to running to the door. Before he could reach the knob, the younger caught him by his hair and yanked him to the ground causing him to land next the the woman's lifeless body. He tried crawling away this time, but Jungkook took a hold of his ankles pulling him back. The teacher thrashed around as his student got on top of him. "If you want me to be a monster, then that's what I'll be!" Jungkook started ripping off Jimin's suit as the latter cried and begged.

"No Jungkook! Please stop! I'm sorry!"

"Now you're sorry? Well it's too fucking late for sorry! When will you learn to stop treating me like I'm no good! I'm so fucking tired of it having to come to this! It's your fault! You make me do this!"

Jungkook attacked Jimin neck with bites as Jimin shut his eyes tightly. He knew he couldn't over power the younger, but he still wanted to fight. Watching that woman die was like watch Hobi die all over again. He was tired of Jungkook winning all of the time.

"Stop it Jungkook! If you really are the man you say you are, then you'd stop!" Jungkook pinned Jimin's arms down and looked at him in his eyes.

"I am a man and I'm gonna show you just how much of a man I really a-ahh!" Jungkook froze as his expression contorted from anger to pain. Then he fell completely limp on top of Jimin. The older was in shock as he pushed Jungkook's unconscious body off of him. He looked up surprised yet happy to see the man before him.
