Chapter 45: It's Done
So this was supposed to the final chapter, but I couldn't fit it all in one. Also y'all have waited long enough.
"Great news. The first part of my plan for us is complete. My wife is out of the picture.. for good."
Author's POV:
"What do you mean?" Jin slowly stood up frowning.
"Appa! Appa!" A small voice rang out. Jin turned to see Yungjin running down the stairs. He instantly ran to the end of the staircase and greeted his baby with open arms.
"Oh my baby. Appa missed you so much. Are you ok?" He asked while lifting him up and resting him on his hip.
"Yes. Mr. Jeon let me watch the Minions movie. It was really funny."
"That's great. Now why don't you thank Mr. Jeon for looking after you while I was gone because now that I'm back.." He cut his eyes towards Junsuk glaring at him. " we're leaving."
"But Appa~ Mr. Jeon promised me chocolate ice cream for dinner, and he says I can eat all of the candy I want and watch all the movies I want and-"
"Yungjin. Go get your things." Jin puts him down.
"Nooo Appa. Please. I don't wanna go. His house is more bigger than ours and more funner and he said we could stay forever-"
"That is enough Yungjin! Now go do what Appa told you to do." Yungjin pouted angrily and stomped away. Once Yungjin was fully up the stairs, Jin furiously turned to Junsuk. "Why the fuck would you tell him all of that knowing good and well that there's no way in hell that we'd ever live here!" He whisper-shouted.
"Calm down sweetheart-"
"Don't. Don't you dare and don't even think about telling him who you really are."
"Why not? He has a right to know."
"No! He doesn't need to know you. I sure as hell wish I didn't. Besides, I told him you were dead."
"Awe my little Jinnie. How could you go as far as lying to Yungjin about me?" Jin was about to speak but he was cut off by a soft voice.
"A-Appa? You lied?" Jin's head turned quickly to see his teary-eyed child at the bottom of the staircase. He had heard every word. "H-how could you?" He asked with his bottom lip quivering. Jin tried to go towards him but the little boy ran back up the stairs before he could reach him. He turned back around to see the smirk on Junsuk's face.
"Y-you saw him. You knew he was there and you just let me-"
"Like I said. He needed to know. Don't worry baby. He'll forgive you in time. For now you should get comfortable since you're back where you're supposed to be."
"Have you not been listening? We. Are. Leav- mhmm." Before Jin could finish he felt a presence come behind him and put a cloth over his nose and mouth. He was forced to breath in the toxic fumes that the cloth contained until his body eventually shutdown.
"Go put him in his old room and take Yungjin out for that ice cream he was promised. Stay out as long as possible. I don't need him to be here when Jin wakes up." Mr. Jeon ordered the servant holding Jin. The servant nodded and did what he was told while Mr. Jeon went to prepare himself for a long night. Once the servant was completely gone from the room, he began with a sigh, "Oh Jinnie, I was really hoping it wouldn't have to come to this, but it seems as if I'm going to have to break you."
——
"Hyung? Are you sure about this? I mean there's got to be another way. One where you and Mark can be safe."
"Yeah maybe there is, but no matter what, somebody's going to get hurt. That's how he operates. What if it's you, mom, or dad? I can't keep putting other people in harms way for my sake. That hurts worse than anything he could ever do to me."
"Jimin hyung, I can't help but feel like a terrible brother if I just let you do this. I can't let you walk directly into the arms of that nightmare disguised as a teenage boy."
"There's no other way!" Jimin shouted in aggravation with tears brimming his glossy eyes. "You're not stopping me. You could either help me or leave but you're not stopping me." He said while grabbing the necessary things he would need for the encounter.
"I'll help you, but I'll never give up on you even if you've given up yourself. He can take you, but he can't have you. As soon as he lets his guard down, I'm getting you out of there.. for good." Jimin nodded. He didn't believe the boy, but he didn't want to argue any further.
He got dressed in Jungkook's requested attire and headed to the address where they were supposed to meet. While they were in the car, Jihyun gave him a rundown of everything that was supposed to going on. Well everything knew about. He was still in the dark about some aspects of the plan. All he knew was to get Jimin dressed and get him there by any means necessary. The ride was mostly quiet after that with each having their thoughts consuming them. They were totally oblivious to the extra passenger residing in the very back of the car.
——
Namjoon was on his way home from the precinct. He took his work along with him. He didn't want to waste time. He looked over the files Jisoo gave him and already began building a case. He could feel it in his gut that Jin was in trouble and he was going to do everything he could to find him.
Suddenly his phone rang. He glanced over at the caller ID and answered immediately. "Yoongi? What is it?"
"We've got a serious problem." Yoongi spoke in a soft voice almost whispering. "How fast can you get here?" Namjoon quickly made a
u-turn.
"I'm on my way now. Where's Jimin? Is he ok?"
"I'll explain later. Just get here ASAP." As soon as the phone call ended, Yoongi sent him his location. Namjoon was dead tired, but there was no time to sleep. He took a shot of his emergency expresso and kept moving.
——
The bed creaked as Jin stirred. He let out a groan once he felt the painful headache the drug caused. His eyes fluttered open and landed on the familiar white ceiling. His heart sank. It wasn't a dream. He was back. He shot up only to be yanked back down by the ropes that bounded him. He heard a chuckle from the other side of the room and directed his attention towards the sound.
"Finally. You're up." The man grinned creepily sending shivers down Jin's back.
"What the fuck is this? Where's my son?" Jin squirmed and tugged at the ropes frantically.
"Stop that. There's no use. You're not getting out of those ropes. You'll only hurt yourself."
"Why do you care?" Jin snapped as continue tugging. Junsuk swiftly took his hands and pinned them down.
"Because I'm the only one who can hurt you. Remember?" Jin gulped at their close proximity.
"Let me go and give me back my son!" He yelled squirming again. Junsuk only shoved him back down again with ease.
"Our son is out having ice cream right now." Junsuk smiled.
"For the last time, he's my son. Only mine!"
"And what's yours is mine baby." Jin scoffed. "I'm so torn. I love this new spicy side of you. It turns me on. But at the same time, I don't like it when you defy me." He eyes went dark and Jin seized all movement. He knew that expression too well. Although it was rarely ever directed at him.
When he worked for him before, he was always very obedient. He never made a fuss or even dared to defy him. He grew too fearful of doing so after witnessing the older's wrath towards those that did. The man's wife was the main target of it since she was an independent stubborn woman who refused to abide by the rules he set for her. He would beat her to no end. He beat her so bad once that she was unable to move for a week. Jin was the one who nursed her back to health. Although she was never really appreciative of it.
"I-I'm sorry. I'll b-be good." Jin stuttered. He couldn't believe himself. One look from the man and he was back to his helpless whimpering self. The self that he hated and worked so hard to get rid off.
"There's my Jinnie. I missed you so much. You're never gonna leave my side again okay?" Junsuk caressed is hand against Jin's face and smiled. It was as if Jin was that child again. Suddenly the younger began crying. He didn't want to cry in front of this psycho, but he couldn't help it. Strangely his mind went to Jimin. He could only hope that the boy was safe from the apple that didn't fall too far from the tree hovering over him.
——
"Jimin hyung? Are you really sure about this?"
"Jihyun you've asked me that same question a million times."
"And I'll keep asking until you're answer changes."
"Well save your breath because I'm doing this. I am going to end all of this pain and suffering now."
"You think this will be over once you give yourself to him? Hyung, it'll only be the beginning. Once he figures out why you're doing this, he'll us it to control yo-"
"He won't because he won't need to control me. I'm going to do what he says."
"And what if he says to kill me? Are you going to do that?" Jimin rolled his eyes.
"He won't-"
"You don't know that. You don't know what you are getting yourself into."
"In case you've forgotten, he has kidnapped me before. I know all about it and as long as I do what he says, then no one will get hurt. It looks like we're almost there anyway, so there's no turning back now." Jihyun sighed. Everything about this felt so wrong.
After traveling a long distance far from civilization, they arrived at this large iron gate. There was a keypad to the left of the car. Jihyun remembered the instructions he was given. He typed the passcode and pressed the red button. With a loud creek the gate opened. They drove through and came upon a huge palace. Jihyun and Jimin were amazed at its beauty. They were even more amazed that they've never heard of it before. It was in their hometown after all.
"What is this place?" Jimin asked.
"Not a clue, but this is where he wanted to meet."
"You don't think that he built this place do you?" Jimin frowned.
"I honestly think he'd do anything for you Jimin."
"I honestly don't know whether to be flattered or terrified by that." As their car pulled up in front of the building, a mob of people came rushing out. Once the car was fully stopped a group of women pulled Jimin out of the car.
"Hey! What are you doing?!" Jihyun quickly got out and tried chasing after them, that is until one of ladies stood in his way stopping him.
"Master has ordered us to prepare Mr. Park for their big day. Do not worry. He is in good hands."
"Not if they belong to Jungkook." Jihyun tried again to follow, but the shorter lady prevented him again.
"I'm sorry but you cannot go back there. Master has ordered me to take you to your seat."
"My seat? What seat?"
"You're seat for the wedding of course." She smiles genuinely and cluelessly.
"W-WHAT?!"
——
Jimin sat quietly in the chair as the women applied makeup on him and fixed his hair. He wondered what this was all for. Why was it so important that he had to get all dressed up for? He thought that this was just a simple exchange. His life for the life of his family and friends.
"There. You're all done." The woman who was doing his hair announced as they finished. "You look so beautiful. Our master is a lucky man." Jimin just ignored her compliment. He had too much on his mind.
"Where is he? I thought I was going to meet him here."
"Be patient. You'll be meeting your lover down the isle in no time, but there is something you must do first." She grinned. It kind of creeped Jimin out, and what did she mean by isle? What isle?
"What are you talking about?" Before she could answer, two men in black entered the room.
"Just follow them. They will take you to where you need to go." Jimin did as he was told and followed the two men. They guided him down a long dimly lit hallway. At the end was a room. The men directed him inside. It was an all white room lit up by sunlight that gleamed through the window. The room was completely empty except for a small black glossy table in the middle.
The table contained two envelopes, a golden pen and a singular red rose in a vase. One of the envelopes was smaller and red. It was an envelope someone would use to send a letter. The other was much bigger and blue. It would normally be used to hold paper work. Before Jimin could realized, the men that had brought him there were gone. He assumed that they were standing outside. Jungkook would never let him be alone when he could potentially escape. He looked back at the table that was now in front of him and decided to open up the smaller red envelopes first. As predicted there was indeed a letter inside. A letter from Jungkook.
Today is a big day my love. It is the day where we will make our love for each other official and forever. I won't know if you've opened this envelope first or the other but I will say that I hope you make the right decision. There are lives at stake. You know what needs to be done. Now do it.
Jungkook never fails to scare the crap out of Jimin even if he's not in the room. Jimin looked over to the other blue envelope and opened it. He frowned as he read the papers. A tear fell from his eye as he saw Taehyung's signature on the dotted line. Jungkook wasn't lying. Taehyung did give him up. This is it. This is going to be how their marriage ends. With shaking hand and a quivering lip, Jimin pick up the golden pin and signed the papers. That was it. It was done.
