5. Hands Off

Lunch time went by without any more hitches, but the tension was still there, and (F/N) felt uncomfortable being in between two men who wouldn't stop glaring at each other. It was almost as if they were challenging each other, and she didn't like it. She knew Ludwig was just concerned for her, and probably could already tell her relationship with (BF/N) was rotten to the core, and was being protective of her, but she really wished he would let her handle it by herself. She didn't want to irritate (BF/N) more than he already was, and was always much more of a pacifist when it came to dealing with him.

She was able to feel slight relief when she could go back to teaching with Ludwig when (BF/N) was not around. He was with Mr Rome, though (F/N) could tell he was just as uncomfortable as she was around him, despite them being 'old friends'. Mr Rome always agreed he was a terrible person, which he felt even more strongly with when he caught on to what he'd been doing to (F/N).

The day had went by too quickly for (F/N), and she knew her boyfriend must've been waiting for her so they could walk home together, which of course she wasn't looking forward to. He was probably going to shout at her for getting so close to one of the teachers, though normal people would honestly see nothing wrong with it, he was incredibly possessive, and would've liked if (F/N) only had contact with him.

A shouting at was exactly what she got when she and (BF/N) were alone in the school hallway.

"You like that stuffy teacher you work with don't you?" He said, and (F/N) knew whatever she said, she was in trouble. She shook her head adamantly, though she knew he was right.

"He's just my superior, there's nothing going on, I swear—" while she was tryIng to explain, he grabbed her wrist tightly, twisting it so that it hurt, making (F/N) wince.

"I can tell when you're lying you whore," he said, brining his face closer to her's and muttering in a low tone. "I let you get a job here and you go off with him? You're lucky I don't lock you up, you obviously can't help yourself." The way he repeatedly told her things like that made it hard for (F/N) to think otherwise. She knew she wasn't in anyway promiscuous, and he was just trying to degrade her by calling her names like 'whore', but it still got to her a lot.

"I swear, (BF/N), I wouldn't do that to you!" She said in a high-pitched and clearly terrified voice, but the grip on her wrist only tightened.

"You'd better not cheat on me, or you know what happens, and you'll only have yourself to blame—" his face was getting closer to her's, and she was finding it had to keep eye contact with him, but she felt another hand grab here, and she yelped in shock as she was pulled behind someone's back, free from the grip that had been around her wrist.

"I'd appreciate if you didn't manhandle my assistant like that," she heard a stern voice call out, and she instantly recognised it as Ludwig's voice. He was holding her arm tightly, but not so much that it hurt her wrist like (BF/N) had. He was glaring at the man in front of him with a protective look in his eyes, and (F/N) instantly became afraid of what her boyfriend was going to do. She wanted anything but to drag Ludwig into this, but that's exactly what'd happened. (BF/N) had a look of disgust and anger that contorted his face, and he grabbed (F/N)'s wrist again tightly, tugging her back to him slightly, but Ludwig didn't let go of her either.

"She's my girlfriend, asshole, I can handle her however I want," he scowled, and Ludwig looked at him with discontent.

"I said hands off," he growled, and (BF/N) glared back at him. Ludwig was broader and taller than the man in front of him, and (F/N) knew who would win in a barehanded fight. Although she had Ludwig protecting her, what about when she went home? She wasn't going to escape this. (BF/N), however, snarled quietly, slowly letting go of (F/N)'s wrist and stepping back, knowing he was outnumbered.

"You're going to regret this," he said, and began to walk off, expecting (F/N) to follow. But she didn't move, and he was clearly irritated by this. "We need to go home, (F/N)," he said through his teeth, but (F/N) was too afraid to move. Luckily, she didn't have to even talk, as Ludwig did the talking for her.

"She stays here." (BF/N) growled again at this response, looking at Ludwig in disbelief.

"You really expect me to let you keep my girlfriend here?! Are you crazy?!" He screamed, but Ludwig didn't look fazed.

"Yes, I do," he said simply. "Unless you want every word and action you've just committed reported to the police of course." Now (BF/N) was beyond annoyed, and seemed at breaking point, but Ludwig had him trapped into a corner. Of course, he still wanted to report everything to the police anyway, but keeping him thinking he wouldn't was working in his favour.

"You'll see..." (BF/N) muttered. "I have friends in high places pal, so you better watch your back protecting that bitch." With that he stomped away, and (F/N) felt a mix of relief, but also intense dread.

I was going to write more in this chapter, but I'm incredibly lazy and couldn't be bothered to move my fingers and write some more words -.-
Thank you for being patient in waiting for his story, especially because it only gets updated every month or so. I'm trying to finish up more stories, because it's satisfying to cross them off my checklist ;;;
Thank you reading!
