Today. Is. The. Day. Chanyeol was confident with it and he hoped it will go well. First things first, he should be noticed by Baekhyun. And because he is a teacher, that would be easy. He just have to be late.

"Chanyeol," a girl suddenly said disrupting his thoughts. "Hey, jagi. You don't have school?" He asked and she just shook his head while walking her way to the seat in front of him, "No, how about you?"

"I have school today, but I guess it's okay to be a little late," Chanyeol replied.

Chanyeol already had found a new girlfriend since yesterday and he planned to dump her later when he could find the right timing. The girl was just simple though, quiet but sweet. Just typical. There's nothing really special about her.

And now, they're both here in a coffee shop that's just a few blocks away from the school. Chanyeol purposely wanted to have their date here because of his plan to be late. He didn't know what awaits him there but he sure know that he'll get noticed by the teacher.

"I'm breaking up with you." Chanyeol said as he took a sip with his coffee. The girl just stared at him, confused. It's because you really can't tell if he was really serious by the way he was acting. "And I'm serious," he said before he pulled out bills from his pocket and put it on the table. "Here's for our coffee, bye." He left the coffee shop after that and went to the school without thinking what could've happened to the girl.

He was already 1 hour late and the school guard almost didn't let him enter but when the guard found out who it was, he let him enter. He wasn't in a hurry in making his way to the room but he was a bit nervous of what will be the teacher's reaction when he reach there.

He already reached his room and went in. And as expected, Baekhyun noticed him and said a greeting, "Mr. Park, you're late."

"I'm sorry Baek-," Chanyeol said but was cut off by the teacher, "Where are your formalities, Mr. Park?" Baekhyun was angered by how the student was behaving and , "You're on detention for 2 hours after dismissal. Understood?"

Chanyeol nodded slowly and didn't argue, "Yes, sir."

Baekhyun faced the students once again, "I don't want any of you being late and especially any of you talking to me without any formalities. Everyone, understand?" The students nodded and once again looked at Chanyeol who was making his way to his seat.

He bowed his head in there and for a moment he began thinking. And after that, smiled victoriously. Two hours detention with Mr. Byun. That's nice.

They were all dismissed for lunch and Chanyeol and his group of friends immediately went to their usual seat in the cafeteria. Junmyeon and Kris volunteered to order their food and let the others just wait for their food to arrive. The two were the one acting like leaders in the group and both of them were very responsible.

"Hey, I thought you're in detention?" Sehun asked as soon as the two leader already left to order. Chanyeol nodded and replied while smiling, "Yeah."

Sehun rolled his eyes and berated, "You should be sounding sad and not happy! You're going to be on detention for 2 hours and that's going to be real boring, I tell you!"

Jongin sighed, "Chill dude, Chanyeol knows that and he did hat purposely."

Sehun gaped at the guys in front of him. "You wanted to go on detention? For all I know, you haven't experienced that because no matter how late you are when you come in school, teachers forgive you but right now it's different because you're on detention. Big time," Sehun ranted.

Jongin just nodded. He knew Chanyeol haven't been in any of the detention since he was well-loved and it was really boring. If boredom could kill, he could have died. Even if he was noticed by the teacher, he thought Chanyeol can't survive the boredom because he knew how much Chanyeol likes fun.

The two leader already arrived with a tray at hand and the other guys helped them carry it and placed it on their table. They began eating their food and talking about random stuffs not missing out how Chanyeol got the detention. It already had been the talk of the school and it was just for a matter of hours. News flew like that in their school especially when it involves the popular guys.

The class ended and all of the students left but not before wishing him luck. What's with detention, anyway? He rolled his eyes at the people. It was his first time and he thought people had been overreacting around him. He didn't need luck. He never even believed in those shits.

Sehun walked up to him and patted his back. "I hoped you survive," the guy said before he left Chanyeol glaring at his back. Jongin looked at him with a thumbs up and this made Chanyeol smile. At least Jongin supported him in this. Jongin is such a good friend and he never let's him down. That's why he already treated Jongin as a brother. Of all the guys in the group, Jongin was the one closest to him and he was grateful for having a friend like him.

Chanyeol was already the person left in the room and Baekhyun was in front of his standing near the desk with his arms crossed in front. Chanyeol gulped, he wasn't scared but he was just nervous at how Baekhyun looked at him like he was going to eat him any sooner. "Mr. Park, detention is a very simple punishment for you and I don't want that. So I have decided on what would be your punishment," the teacher said blankly. Shit. Chanyeol mentally cursed. He was expecting something different would happen and not this. Baekhyun walked to him and stopped when the distance between them is already enough before he spoke again, "If you answer all of my questions then you're going to be free from detention, if you're unfortunate enough to answer a single question, an hour will be added to your detention time. I hope that's clear to you."

Chanyeol nodded nervously and Baekhyun made his way to the chair next to Chanyeol and began, "First question, why were you late?"

"I-I... had a date with someone," Chanyeol stammered. As long as he didn't know my real reason for it, then it's going to be alright. "Early in the morning?" Baekhyun said and Chanyeol nodded in reply. Baekhyun sighed and then continued, "Let's now test if you really listened to my lessons. What's the fruit that has about fifty percent of our DNA?"

Shit. I clearly don't listen to him. Baekhyun raised a brow who was already growing impatience. I'll just answer anything, any fruit. "Uhmm... Banana!" Dammit. Why of all fruits? Why did I have to say banana?

Baekhyun rolled his eyes. He knew that Chanyeol just had luck so he just proceeded to next question, "What's a young rabbit called?"

Chanyeol widened his eyes. Was I correct? I think so, he already proceeded to next question. Before he could celebrate, he already slumped back again, he felt like losing to this already so he just randomly answered, "Kitten." Why on earth did I say kitten? It's for cats, dammit. I don't have any clue with this. He was already anticipating for a rant from the teacher but he was surprised when he once again proceeded, "How does cornea receive oxygen?"

Baekhyun made sure that Chanyeol couldn't answer the question. He knew Chanyeol was just in a luck that's why he answered those questions correctly but not this time. Luck wasn't on his side this time. "Through the blood," Chanyeol answered confidently and Baekhyun gaped at him and then proceeded, "No. Cornea receives oxygen through air and not the blood." Baekhyun can't help but smirk making Chanyeol even more nervous than before. He looked stupid for confidently answering with something wrong. He shook his head in annoyance. He wished to get out of here. He regretted even purposely making himself late.

Baekhyun said while smiling mockingly, "You're detention will be extended to three hours. Good thing I have a heart or I'll still punish your brain more with my questions." Have a heart, your face. You call that having a heart?! Well, fuck you and your heart. Chanyeol mentally cursed.

He slumped there on the chair while scowling at the teacher. The teacher rolled his eyes, "That's for having a date early in the morning without even minding what awaits him in school."

"Well, it's not my fault she invited me! And besides, I can't say no to that," Chanyeol made up a reason to get out from the teacher's accusation, which was true.

"You broke her heart after you dated, you might as well said no to that!" Baekhyun said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Then how will I dump her if not that way!" Chanyeol answered back. He was already frustrated at the latter. But that made the latter quiet and think, "Players are shits."

"Teachers like you are shits," Chanyeol huffed.

"You'd think that'll hurt me? You're a shit. Why are you suddenly angry at me?" Baekhyun ranted.

"It's because of what happened!" Chanyeol said. Baekhyun rolled his eyes and chastised, "Just because of that shitty reason? Come on Chanyeol grow up! Don't be so immature!"

Chanyeol can't say anything but be quiet. He just menacingly glared at the guy. He thought this would be the start where he could make Baekhyun fall for him but this was the day where he would hate Baekhyun more. Hate is a very strong word when used with it's main meaning. But he wasn't scared to use it at Baekhyun. He hated Baekhyun. He hated his teacher. And it's time he'll have to stop what he had planned. He decided that he'll just have to focus in his life and not mind this teacher at all. Baekhyun just gives him a bad luck in his life and staying away from his as far as possible would be better. He'd be just an ordinary student to him and he'll act like none of this had ever happened. Yeah right, he's going to do that.

He shouldn't have let what Baekhyun said affect him. He should've forgotten all about it. It's not even important. Why did he even let that affect him? Why was he even affected in the first place?
