One of my favorites from the game

~A year later

Living here with Ike has been everything I had hoped for.

I kneel down and continue to pick the strawberries out of my garden in the back yard. I absolutely love gardening. I miss gardening with my mother. My mother and I used to tend to the gardens when I was just a little girl, before things had gotten out of hand. Ever since Ike married me, I have been wearing a sundress in the mornings when I tend to my gardens.

Surprised? I know, me too, but I feel different now.

I reach down to pick another strawberry, "Star!" I hear Myst's voice call from behind me.

No, this is Ike's sister, not the young girl I know from my time. But, do not worry, she is like my little sister now.

She runs up behind me, wearing a similar sundress and holding a basket like mine, "I'm ready to help this morning!"

I laugh, "Alright, let me show you how to do it," I reach down to pick the next strawberry carefully, pulling and plucking it from the vine.

Myst's eyes widen then she gets very excited, "Ooooh! Let me try!"

I laugh again. Myst does what I had just showed her and she plucks it gently. I smile, "Very good. I will be right back, I have a full basket now," I turn away and begin to walk back through the garden heading back to the back door.

"Okay, Star," I smile when I see Ike standing there on the back porch, smiling out at us. Once I step closer, Papa steps outside, giving me a big smile as well.

Yes, Papa came back with us. He is caring for me like a father, even though he basically is my second father. Ike is still commander of his mercenaries here, Papa is letting him lead. While Ike is gone to the mercenary base, Papa stays here with Myst and myself. Recently, there has been peace, so the mercenaries have been idle, though. Once I approach them, Ike takes my face in his hands and gives me a good morning kiss.

Papa greets me with a hug as I laugh, "Good Morning!"

I enter the back door and turn to the right into the kitchen sink to drop the strawberries into the strainer for washing later. Before heading back outside, I glance around my house. It is a basic house and not too large. There is a hallway in the center of the wall with an arch leading to the living room. Connected to that is the arch hallway leading to the two bedrooms and the washroom on the other side of the home.

I smile then turn to enter through the doorway leading back outside. I am greeted once again by Ike and Papa's wonderful smiles. We exchange smiles as I walk past them and down the stairs towards the gardens. Myst rushes over to me when she sees me approaching with an excited look on her face.

When is she not excited?

I smile at her, "Star! Look at all the berries I picked!" Her basket is filled to the brim with strawberries.

Wow, that was quick.

"Oh, very good! Pour them into the strainer in the kitchen sink,"

She nods to me and quickly runs past me while carefully trying not to spill her berries. I turn around to watch her enter the back door and see Papa wave to me, "I have something to go do, Star! See you this evening, my dear," He calls to me.

I wave back, "Be careful, Papa!" I call after him as he nods to me and fades away inside the doorway. I turn back to my gardens. There is a large field behind my house beyond my fence as far as my eyes can see. In the distance, there is a mountain where the sun would set every night. It is starting to become early Autumn when the sunset in the sky is a bit earlier in the evening. I continue to pick the rest of the ripe strawberries and bring them into the house.

I enter through the back door and see Myst already starting to wash the strawberries we had picked together.

She turns and smiles at me. I approach her and pour the rest of them into the strainer where she is washing them, "Thank you Myst for your help," I smile down at her and ruffle her hair. She laughs and thanks me happily, "Thank you for teaching me! It was fun!"

I place the basket down on the counter and pick up my sack with all of my fruit and vegetable seeds. Then I grab my red watering can and leave back through the back door.

I begin sprinkling potato and carrot seeds into the field that I left alone for a week allowing the health of the soil to regenerate and water them. I wipe off my gloved hands and button my sack back closed that is clipped on my side.

When I look up at the sky, the sun is beginning to descend into the horizon. I start to walk to my small tree orchard where I have three small fruit trees growing. I water each one and then smile at my work.

I slowly turn, stroll through my flower gardens and back through the back door. I am greeted by my beloved, Ike, with a hug from behind when I turn to face the kitchen, "Working hard again today, I see," He smiles at me. I glance around and notice the home looks homier and cleaner than it was this morning.

He has been busy too, I see.

I smile back to him, "So have you, Hun," His face brightens as I take notice to his work, "I cannot have you do everything now can I?" He chuckles as he releases me.

I chuckle with him as I drop my sack and watering can back onto the kitchen counter. I turn to him, "Do you want to help me cook dinner?"

"Of course,"

I smile, "Good, now take these strawberries and blend them together please, Hun," I hand him the strainer that holds the washed berries.

When he takes them, I turn and the black light appears in my eyes. I begin to lift several pieces of mixing containers and my wooden spoon into the air, each hovering around me surrounded by my black magic.

I always use my magic while cooking, not my hands. I am not quick enough without using it. Ike chuckles at me every time, "You are something else,"

I laugh back, "It wouldn't be me if I did no such thing," I say as I lift my cook book up in front of me, reading the recipe for strawberry smoothies.

Once I have finished washing things in the kitchen after dinner, I go outside to the clothes line in the back yard after I have changed back into my cape and hood outfit. I have the cape up over my head shadowing my eyes.

The sun is setting and the cool Autumn night's breeze is blowing gently. I small various scents of flowers swirling around in the breeze.

As I kneel down to pick up a piece of clothing from my hamper, a blinding bright light appears in the sky before me. I drop the piece of clothing back into the hamper basket and look up. The next thing I know, a man wearing a cape and hood similar to mine is standing before me.

His hood and cape is black and his eyes are a deep gray. He wears some kind of pants and an undershirt that matches the colors of his hood and cape. I can not run away. He must be using some kind of dark magic binding spell.

It has to be dark magic. No other magic can do something like that.

"We have you now, Princess Star of the Dark World,"

"Wait... What?"

"Do not try to deceive me, girl. You're the one who fled from me,"

What is he talking about? Why is he wearing the same attire as me? Where did he come from? I thought there are less dark magic users in this time?

"Silence, huh? You will regret not answering to me, girl," He starts dragging me behind him.  I am tripping over my own feet as he led me to his starship.

The ship is a large black star wanderer type of ship I remember seeing in the old tales told to me by my mother, just sitting in the middle of the clearing right out of sight of the view from my back yard. The starship is sitting on its four skinny legs at four edges with an entrance ramp coming from the center of the bottom belly on the ship. It looks a lot like one of those flat flying saucers with a bulging center.

"I found the princess, commander. Strange she came here though. Why this planet?" Another hooded man emerges from the entrance to the ship. His cape and hood are a deep red color.

"Excellent, bring her. The king will be pleased with the find,"

The king? Do they think he is my father? Why do they think I am the princess? But they did call me by the correct name and title, but I am not from another planet... am I?

The black hooded man shoves me through the door and I fall to my hands and knees. I try to push myself up and out the door but I can not feel my emotion surging through me. I feel nothing. My eyes widen.

Why can't I... No... They grounded me... I cannot feel my magic anymore... There is only one spell that can break this.

The door behind me closes with a hiss and a click as the two men walk around me and enter the large room where the windows looking outside are located. The one in red walks over to the large console where many lights are blinking and flashing in several colors. He reaches out and punches a button that is blinking green.

"Sire," he bows slightly and the man on the holographic screen that has just materialized before my eyes nods to him. He wears a type of crown symbol surrounding the top and sides of his face. He has a long cape draping over his backside, slightly different than mine.

"Commander," He moves his eyes to me and smiles, "Oh, you found her! Excellent. I will be expecting you to arrive back here soon I presume?"

The commander nods, "Yes, sire. I am calling to report we found her on the strange green and blue planet within the cluster of inner planets sir," The King places his hand up to his chin and looks off to the left for a moment like he is in deep thought.

"Yes, alright, Commander. Bring her back alive. I will talk to you later," With that last remark, the screen goes fuzzy black and then disappears. The Commander then proceeds to push several buttons and a feminine voice begin calling out statements about the state of the ship as he pushes each one.

Beep. 'All engines online.'

Boop. 'Power is 100%.'

Then he pushes one more button, it is larger than the others and is red.

'Preparing for lift off.'

No... They are taking me away. Oh god... Ike, my love. Please come for me.

The next thing I know, I am being dragged off into the depths of the ship with one hooded man holding each arm.

Hello Lovelies! Here is part one of this brand new adventure! I finished it from the sample I left you in my first book.

This one has a touch of Sci-Fi, which is my second favorite genre!

I will see about releasing a part once a week, might be longer than that some parts. :0

School has started back for me today.
