I hear the magicians around me begin chanting, "Bring us Peace!", repeatedly as the remains of the Demon darts its eyes around. Its eyes then find me once again. The Demon flails himself around, like he is tempered, and keeps glowering towards me before him. I stand, hovering above the ground, with my fists at my sides surrounded by my black orbs and my hood up shadowing my face with my eyes exploding with blackened light. The light is extending out further than it ever has before, radiating around my face, and the purple in my eyes are shining through. My cape is flowing behind me in the strong winds that still surround us in the battlefield.

"Bring us peace!" The crowd roars all around me. Each Dark Magician is fisting the air, encompassed with their magical energy.

"It is done! She has saved us!" Someone adds amongst the chanting.

The Demon keeps glaring, but he looks overwhelmed. It must know I have won. His power is nothing without the vessels I tore from his grasp.

I turn to the side, looking over the Dark Princess who lays motionless on the ground while her cape is covering her like a blanket. I turn back to face the Demon.

I lift my left hand and angrily point it towards it, "You will never take me again,"

I flick my hand, the connection with my blade rushing through me, and my blade obeys me, revealing itself from within my cape. I close my hand back into a fist firmly and the orb around it flashes white. I feel my emotion flood through my arm and into the blade. My blade responds, flashing as well, quickly spinning a single time creating an arc in the air and then bursts into flames. Dark energy flames.

The Demon shrieks at the sight of the blade once again. It phases a short distance away from me. It seems it cannot do much more than that. I slowly follow him with my glare on it the entire time, my blade waiting for my command to slash. It phases away again. I continue to follow.

I dash forwards, commanding my blade directly through it right as it phases away again.

"Help her. Use your spells to hold the Demon in its place. So she can vanquish it back to the depths of hell where it belongs," My mother's soft, but strong voice says, bouncing off of the surrounding town buildings.

When She says this, several brave magicians step forwards, now confident they can help me without the fear of disrupting my victory. They spout nonsense and strike the Demon with their magic spells, snaring it where it stands. It does all it can do to fight back but does not prevail, powerless without vessels to harness the energy it seeks. Its red slits stare into me as I approach, my blade raised by my side aimed directly between its eyes. I slowly raise my left hand while my blade shimmers with anticipation from the dark magic surging through its shiny white finish. The Demon's deep red eyes soften as it continues to glare towards me.

"You have not seen the last of me, child,"

I narrow my eyes, "I can say the same to you if you ever try to show your face around me again,"

The Demon lets out an ear-piercing cackle, "It is not you who is the target. It will be your last,"

My eyes harden, becoming emotionless and dull as I feel all emotion drain from them, "Enough!"

I spin around, command my blade to slash through the demon by sweeping with my left arm and phase in directly behind him. I immediately command my blade to pierce through its backside, forcing the Demon to shriek out in agony as it crumples into millions of black pieces of dark energy. I finish my movement through, with my left arm outstretched in front of me and spin around to bring the blade back to my side.

I move slowly, first sheathing my blade back into its hilt, then straightening myself while keeping my eyes focused forwards. Once I straighten, I move my eyes and see the Dark Princess watching. Her eyes are wide with terror flashing through them.

Sorry you had to go through that. You had no idea about any of this, did you? You were kept in the dark, child. I am sorry.

I power down my magic and give her a saddened look as she stares at me in horror. She looks as though she wishes to speak, but it seems she cannot find the words to do so.

The Demon's remains spin around in the air, flying in patterns as a stream of black energy. It snakes directly towards the Dark Princess, the King and the Queen. As it approaches her, the terror in her eyes intensifies as a scream escapes her lips in agony. I watch her helplessly fall to her hands and knees like I had, gasping for air.

"Agh, it hurts!" She screams.

I wince as I cannot do anything for her, quickly approaching to try to comfort while being accompanied by my mother, Ike and many of her people.

"What is happening?" I hear one ask.

"It is won!" My mother exclaims, "The Demon is no more,"

The remains of the Demon are now gone and the King and Queen are slowly standing, recovering from the sudden rush of dark energy re-entering their bodies. The looks on their faces hold guilt as they must know their daughter knew nothing about this and was caught right in the middle like they knew she would. Those emotions are then replaced with gratitude as they find my gaze. I give them a small smile in return, glad to have been here to help them.

I look back down to the Princess, remembering how that felt. She has slowly raised her gaze to mine, tears streaming down her face, "What happened to me?"

Her mother and father wrap their arms around their distraught daughter, releasing tears of their own as the other magicians circle around us, watching in silence, waiting to give their support for the royal family.

I feel a soft hand on my shoulder, as I turn to see my mother, smiling down to me. I smile in return, raising to face her. I reach out my hands for her to grasp, coated in the white energy she had lent me before the slaying of the Demon.

"I could not have done it without your assistance, mother,"

She just smiles at me, "I only aided you. It was you in the end who did it all, my child. I am so very proud of you. Just look at how much you have grown in such little time. Just last year, you would not have dared attempt what you have just confidently done right before my eyes. You have glared in the face the very thing that had happened to you, but this time you held all the strength required,"

She embraces me, then she releases me. She keeps her grip onto my hands as I release the energy she lent me back to her, from my emotions to hers, "Accept my offering, a debt repaid," I say softly.

Once I turn back to face the King and Queen, they are silently waiting for me. They each give me a warm smile any mother and father would give to their daughter with gratitude.

Strong, proud smiles.

The King stepped forwards, motioning me for an embrace. I reveal a half smile as I quickly dart over to accept his gift to me, accepting it like I would accept from my own father.

"Thank you, my dear dark child. I am so terribly sorry for the misunderstandings I punished you with. I have deep gratitude I wish to share with you for what you have done despite the things I forced upon you,"

"I also wish to share the same gratitude," I say to him as he releases me.

He bows his head, granting me permission to speak, "I wish to shed truth on my identity, as I am very sure you do not know anything about me. You should know,"

I turn to the Dark Princess. She catches my gaze. Her eyes are wide and confusion is flowing through them, swirling around rapidly as she studies my eyes.

My eyes darken from underneath my hood as I prepare the words to explain everything, "I am you, from a parallel world,"
