(Monster Kids' POV)

I and Emble were headed to Undyne's so we could take the Royal Guard entrance exam. We had been training for months and were excited to finally get the chance to prove ourselves. We had heard the exam was tough but we were determined to do our very best and hopefully make it into the guard.

I ran ahead of Emble, my tail trailing behind me. "The last one to Undyne's house is a rotten human!" I yelled at them.

I could feel the anticipation building as we approached the house. We had put in so much effort and work in preparation, and I was determined to show everyone how capable I was.

As I ran, I could feel the wind on my skin, and I was filled with a sense of determination and excitement.

"MK! Watch out!" I had been so lost in my own thoughts that I hadn't noticed Undyne. I bumped into her with my blue and white wizard hat falling off my head

Startled, I jumped back, my heart pounding in my chest. I could feel my face heating up in embarrassment as I scrambled to pick up the hat that had fallen off my head.

"I'm terribly sorry Undyne, I wasn't paying attention to where I was heading."

"You fine punk! You and my daughter Emble are here to try and get into the royal guard right?" Undyne interrupts me, gesturing toward a worried Emble behind me.

"That's right," I reply, "We've been training for months and I think we're ready for the challenge."

"Alright, which one of you punks wants to do it first? You better give me a worthy challenge, especially you, Emey!" Emey stepped up to the plate with a confidence I hadn't seen from him before, ready to prove himself.

Undye summons her spears and Emble conjured her daggers and they begin their fight

Undyne and Emble engaged in a fierce battle, with Undyne swinging her spears and Emble throwing her daggers with precision.

They were locked in a stalemate, neither of them giving an inch. It was an intense fight that seemed to last forever.

Both of them had incredible skill and strength, and their weapons were perfectly matched in power and speed. Emble's daggers were quick, but Undyne's spears had a longer range and reach. They both fought with intense focus, trying to anticipate their opponent's next move and be ready for it.

Undyne desummoned her spear with a proud expression on her face. "You have proven yourself to be a member of the Royal Guard! Now let's see if your little friend can do the same." She glanced at you with a knowing smirk, a challenge clear in her eyes.

I stepped up while Emble stepped to the sidelines. As part of their uniform, they now wear the Deltarune, a symbol of royalty or royal guard.

I get ready to use my magic moving my tail to face Undyne as snowflakes appear all around me and melt. MK and Undyne began to fight, sending powerful magic blasts and slashes at each other. The snow around them began to swirl and mix with the magical energy being exchanged in the fight.

Undyne and MK's fight intensified, with the snow becoming thicker and brighter as the magical energy around them grew stronger. Emble watched in awe while cheering MK on as their battle filled the air with a dazzling display of color and light.

"You're pretty skilled at that ice magic, aren't you, punk? I can tell you've worked on your weakness of not having arms by using your tail and magic." MK's fighting style was fluid and graceful, and the ice magic encasing their tails seemed to give them a certain edge.

"Yeah, I worked on it. As soon as I got it I learned how to use magic"

They moved back and forth between the snow and ice, creating a flurry of color and light with each swing and jab that they made. Undyne was clearly impressed, and the magical energy between them only seemed to grow.

Suddenly Undyne slipped to the floor on some ice. She lowered her spear and stood up. "You'll be a great addition to the Royal Guard!" Undyne had been so taken by the display of skill and agility that she had inadvertently lost her footing.

Her admiration for the person before her had only grown, and she knew that their talent would be an invaluable asset to the Royal Guard.

"Now come on over here, I've got something for you"

I walk over to Undyne and she places a Deltarune symbol pin on my shirt. I was now officially a member of the royal guard with Emble.

I guess this means we're not just kids anymore - we're officially the cool kids!

"Now come on, you've got to meet the other members of the Royal Guard and Paps too!" I was excited to talk to Papyrus - I had heard so much about him from the other members of the Royal Guard. I was finally getting to meet the legendary Papyrus!

We had finally achieved our hopes and dreams. Excitedly, Emble and I walked forward, ready to experience the adventure of a lifetime.
