A week before Frisk falls

(Toriel's POV)

'Beep beep beep'

The sound of my pie finishing I stand up from my chair and walk into the kitchen. The delicious smell of butterscotch and apples reaches my nose as I pull the pie out. I place it on the counter and turn around.

Gasp

The weed that called itself Flowey stared at me with its beady eyes as I screeched."It's you... What are YOU doing here?" I asked, trying to stay calm. Flowey chuckled, a deep and sinister sound. He moved closer, and I could feel his malice radiating. He tilted his head to say, "You should know what I'm here for."

"N-no I don't," I started, but stopped.

"You're lying, aren't you?" Flowey grinned a bit, returning to its sharp grin.

"What does it matter to you? You're the one who nearly killed several children." I said glaring at the tiny flower.

"I merely wished to use their souls and become all powerful, nothing more." The talking flower replied calmly. "No! You wanted to use them for your own gain, without caring for the consequences." I said, seething with anger.

The flower smiled as its petals glistened in the light. "Yes, I suppose I did...but that's all in the past now." I couldn't believe it; the flower had no remorse for its selfish actions. "How can you be so callous?" I asked, taken aback by its lack of emotion.

"Do you realize I can't feel empathy?" it asked with a wide smile.

My thoughts raced and I growled as the flower held onto my shoulder. I could feel the thorns clinging to me. I tried to pull away, but the flower gripped tightly. "Are you planning to kill me?" it snarled as I summoned a flame into my hand.

I could feel my anger boiling up within me. I wanted to burn the flower away, but I knew I had to control myself.

"If I wanted you dead, you would be. You would certainly be in no position to complain." The flower smiled, one of its vines coiled around my shoulder like a snake.

"Oh, really?" The flower smirked.

Yes, you are a vile weed." I sneered at it. My dress swayed as I struggled. "Really? Is that so?" I nodded. The flowers' grin grew wider.

"Fine, if you must, you'll see for yourself." I shrugged, freeing my arm from the flower's grasp.

"No, I won't let you poison me with your lies!" I yelled out as I resummoned magic flames in my paws ready to attack.

"Oh, you know me too well.~ So, let's just settle this the fun way then." The flower grinned widely, as he launched several white pellets my way. They barely missed me. One of them even grazed my arm. I winced in pain before returning my gaze to Flowey.

He chuckled, a sinister glint in his eyes. "Come on, you can do better than that!" It taunted. I gritted my teeth and prepared another attack. I threw fireballs at Flowey, which it dodged. It retaliated with a barrage of thorns, which I quickly blocked with a mist shield. It paused for a moment, then laughed and said "Well, this is going to be fun!"

I glared at it and summoned a powerful wind gust, pushing it back. It retaliated with a wave of petals that I dodged. It was clear that it wasn't about to give up so easily. I gritted my teeth and pushed forward, sending a powerful shockwave to it. The creature was pushed back and I struck with a powerful fireball. It was enough, and it declared it would return for revenge and left.

"Think about what I told you," Flowey sang, laughing, and disappearing. I felt a chill run down my spine as I remembered his words. After taking a shaky breath, I sighed and tried not to think about my encounter with the pink flower.
