Story Concept: Puella Magi Madoka Magica x Birds of Prey

Nyx Storm is your average 21-year-old trying to get through college, live up to her mother's expectations, and avoid the public eye.

That becomes a bit harder when she finds pieces of her mother's Magic Mirror and realizes that the evil thought to have been demolished 21 years ago has only been waiting in the sidelines and recovering. It becomes even more complicated when she's forced to take on a suicidal klepto as a sidekick, face against a handsome mobster, and keep her retired Magical Girl mother in the dark the whole time.

Story Title: Beyond the Storm

Main Character/s: 

Nyx Storm: 21, female, loves horror movies, and has a strong sense of justice. She doesn't need friends, doesn't need to study, and definitely doesn't need to fix her horrendous sleep schedule. 5'5'', medium-length black hair, brown eyes, thick, and as pale as a ghost.

Fritz (Adrian Frederick): 19, male, scared of heights, and loves helping others. He is a kleptomaniac but prefers to go by "thief." He is about to be a college dropout and wants to die. 5'7, short/curly black hair, hazel eyes, skinny, tan skin. Oh, and he can fly.

Reuben Marshall: 22, male, grew up in a mob family and is learning to take over when his father retires. He has a strong sense of justice but is really good at pretending he doesn't, loves women, and would rather spend the day doing taxes than being his family's bulky threat machine. 6'2'', buzz cut, dark brown eyes, black. 

Brother 1: Unnamed evil villain, loves to listen to soul music and eat noodles for every meal. He is really good at torture, uses magic to create dark creatures of hatred, and is adept at healing.

Brother 2: Unnamed evil villain, loves to listen to pop music and could live off Doritos. He is really good at healing and can use magic to make mediocre dark creatures of hatred, and also is fairly good at following directions.

Genre: Superhero fiction

Word Count Goals: 15k

Motivations: The drive to finish a story. I'm obsessed with magical girls and superheroes so it's really exciting to get to write this story I've been dreaming of.

Fears/Concerns: I'm worried that I'll give up since this involves art and me plus art equals quitting at some point.

Cool Extras:

When Nyx is using the magic mirror wand she is over half a foot taller, in a full suit, and she's very confident.

The Magic Mirror Wand has the ability to heal darkness/hatred and also make people tell the truth. It basically turns you into the best version of yourself.

It also means that while Nyx is using it she is completely unable to tell a lie.

Also everyone with black hair will be drawn with dark blue hair--yea that's just how we do it over here. thx.
