CHAPTER 3

I'm going camping! Quite excited you know, haven't been to a camp for a very long time. Olivia asked me yesterday not to pack my things yet that she'll come over to help me pack. You might wonder why. You know, like those guys with whom their friends are the fashion killers and they are the opposite. I've got fashion sense but Olivia just loves picking out my clothes, it's a habit she has adapted.

"Hey pig! Mum is calling you downstairs" Diego shouts as he opens the door of my room with a smirk on his face. I wonder why he called me a pig, suspecting I stand up from my bed and go to look at myself in the mirror.

Oh. My. Goodness! My eyes nearly budge out of their sockets as I gasp in shock. Not only is my hair a mess but boldly written on my face is I AM A PIG.

"DIEGO!" I scream, unable to stop myself and turn I the direction of the door with a very pissed off face.

At this, he runs out of my room, and of course I run after him. Somebody has got to teach that boy a lesson if my mom can't then I will.

"Mom! A pig is chasing me." Diego shouts, running towards the kitchen.

"A pig?! In my home? How exactly is that possible?" Mom asks, acting completely clueless. Mom funnily picks up a pot of pan and faces Diego, "Where is it?" At this point, I have reached the kitchen door and that was right behind Freda so Diego shouts, "Behind you mum!" This causes my mom to use the pot of pan to hit my head.

"Ouch! For goodness' sake, mum!" I shout and mom laughs at me. My head terribly aches.

"I'm terribly sorry dear. I thought it was a pig." She says feigning innocence.

"Yeah right." I scoff rubbing my head with my hand.

"Oh, don't be such a hater, sweetie. I'm sure it didn't hurt that much."

"But she's one, it's written all over her face she's a pig." Diego says laughing. Oh, can someone tell me what is this funny because mom joins him in the laughter.

"Did I hear there's a pig in here?"

Oh, just great. I turned around to see Olivia standing and immediately she sees my face she joins the other's laughing. What did I expect from her? Nothing other than what she did.

I turn around to face Diego, "Just because you got all of them laughing today doesn't mean I won't get you when I can."

"Oh! I'm so scared!" Diego says sarcastically.

What! How can I have a younger brother who talks to me like shit! These are moments when I honestly don't like Diego. Ah! I pull Olivia away from the kitchen, up into my room.

"Start packing, would you?"

Olivia who's still laughing just nods her head. I go into the shower while she packed. I don't spend long in the showers, I'm not dirty, but I'm also not Zelah Green (The queen of clean).

Once I come out, I see my box almost fully packed and I smile. "Now what did you pack?" I ask Olivia.

"What else will I pack? We've got to be fast. "

At this I'm looking at her with strange eyes like she's speaking gibberish. This girl must be insane. First, it's 8:35 am, and the bus leaves by 10:00am. I've got like 85 minutes and that's 1hour 25minutes if I'm not mistaken.

"Did you hear anything I said, missy? We're gonna be late." Oh, it's true, I forgot to tell she's got a problem with mathematics.

"Olivia..."

"I know it is 8:35 but sweetheart I need to get the best seat okay?"

"Why do we have Joanna if she can't help us get seats? Hmm?" I say and chuckle as I take my luggage. It's so obvious she's after something else, and I'll find out like I always do.

"Hey mum we're heading out." I shout as we head for the door.

"Hold on a minute!" Freda shouts, causing us to halt in our footsteps.

"You've not eaten this morning dear, you know that right? I want to eat something before you go."

"Yes, mom I know that I have eaten nothing but I don't feel up to it. The excitement is too much."

"Alright dear." She says sighing, "Take care of yourself, and don't play too much okay? Don't get injuries and come back home crying to me. I won't drop my shoulders." What!!! Is she really doing this? Like I mean I'm not Diego or am I? Should I check the mirror again? "Come on mum, you're acting like I'm just going to walk into fire when I see one and know it might get me killed besides I'm not Diego." I say looking at the boy who was standing behind my mom.

At that mom nods her head with a small teasing smile, "Just wanted to make sure. You know can never be too sure."

Oh, for goodness' sake, I groan and just peck her cheek quickly, wanting to get out of there immediately.

"Hey pig! At least I deserve a goodbye." Diego shouts just as I reach the door.

"Bye pig breeder." I say as I hop in to Olivia's car.

By the time we get to school, students are already filling in the bus. Dawn's school is going to meet us there. I drop my things where it's checked and hop onto the bus.

I notice Ethan has a seat for me and I smile, heading to sit next to me, but Olivia stops me and looks to me like I'm crazy.

"You're going to sit with him instead of me?!" she says as if I've totally lost my mind.

"Yes?"

"Then where would I sit?" she says as we both turn to the only other sit she would feel like sitting on and it was by Joanna.

"Hell to the no!" she says turning back to face me giving me a pointed look.

"Oh, come on, it's just a bus ride."

"Come on, Olivia, let the lovebirds sit together," Brandon says with a teasing remark making me blush and Ethan hit the back of his head.

"Love birds," Olivia mutters with distaste probably not meant for anyone to hear but I do and I'm guessing from the strange look Ethan gives her, he did too.

"Any problem there, Olivia." He says giving her a strange look I have never seen on his face. It was like a warning look.

"Of course not. I'll enjoy the miserable ride." She says glancing at Joanna who is fully plugged and isn't listening to what she is saying, "And you can sit by your girlfriend but once we get to the camp, she's all mine."

Once she says this, all worry on her behaviour quickly fades and I realize she just wants to spend time with me and doesn't like that I'm leaving her with Joanna, which I truly understand.

"Oh, don't be so clingy, Olivia. People might get the wrong idea." I say with a smirk as I sit down, to which she scowls.

"Oh, I already do." A jock says which the rest then laugh.

Ethan pulls me towards him with a smirk and I land on his laps, "Now, that's a pretty wild imagination you put in my head, babe." He says silently in my ear, making me shiver.

I beat his hands off me and sit on my seat trying to not let him affect me, "You dirty minded boy."

"Hey! You put the idea in my head!" he says with a smirk.

Once the ride moves, I take a glance at Olivia to make sure she's okay and I see her talking to Brandon showing she's alright so I enjoy the ride.

Once we get to the campsite and we're told that it's two people per tent. I notice Dawn, Ivy, and their classmates. Everyone gets busy fixing our tents and getting our things inside after a guide shows us how to do it.

Olivia and I stay in the same tent. After settling down, we realize it's time for lunch. Olivia and I head to where we were shown that we'll be having lunch and I see Ethan, Brandon and Alistair on a table which has Dawn and Ivy on it.

Olivia and I head towards the table to have our lunch.

"Hello to you human," Dawn says trying to say Olivia wasn't one.

"Could we please have a sweet lunch, Dawn?" Ethan asks because Ethan is always the one who begins a quarrel with Olivia, so it quite surprised me he stopped Dawn.

"Sure, anything for you," Dawn says sarcastically, which meant no even though they didn't know that.

"Soo." I say trying to think of what to possibly say to change the topic, "Who can guess what exactly this trip is about?"

"I could guess," Olivia says smiling as others shrugged.

"Oh, really?" Dawn asks, putting a fake smile on her face. Olivia smiles at Dawn and then takes another spoon of her lunch, finishes eating what is in her mouth with dramatic effect, and takes a gulp of water. When she felt it satisfied her, she coughed slightly.

"As I was saying, I have a brain of course, unlike some people. Maybe the school wants some people to use their brains properly and probably have manners." This brought coughs from us on the table well except me. (That's a terrible lie, including me, except Dawn. She doesn't find it funny at all. She never does)

"Excuse me?" Dawn says, angrily.

"Oh, you're definitely excused," Olivia says putting her winning smile.

This definitely gets Dawn angry as she stands up and hit the table with her hand calling attention. Then she points to me. ME! What did I do?

"You'll pay for that, I promise you." She says as she left.

"Oh, come on Dawn! It's not like I did anything!" I shout after her. Ivy pecks Brandon and goes after her. This allows Ethan, Alistair, Brandon and Olivia laugh.

"Come on, guys. It isn't funny." I say with a blunt face. I mean, is it?

"Sorry darling, but sincerely it is, besides she started it. It's only once in a while you get to see Dawn so worked up. Not good but well the few times she gets worked up, enjoy the moment." Alistair says.

"Nobody calls my girl darling, okay? She's just mine." Ethan says, making everyone laugh. Of course, just like that, we always do change the topic.

"Possessive much?" Brandon says amidst his laughter.

This makes Ethan put his hand over my shoulder, pulling me closer to him and pecking me before he nodded. When he releases me, I move back closer to Olivia and I notice a flash of longing look on her face which goes as quickly making me think I'm imagining things again. Okay, what's going on with me?

"I'm terribly sorry about that, okay? I couldn't control myself." She whispers. I smile at her in gratitude for her apology. Although I'm definitely not the one that needs to hear this, I can't push my luck too much. Besides being sincere, I think Dawn might be at fault here. Believe me, I'm not taking sides just being truthful.
