I am in pain and I honestly don't want to step foot into school to see the faces of those arseholes but I can't have dad and mom become suspicious, especially dad. Mom had managed not to say a word to him even though I could see that even fibre of her being wanted to.

So instead of wallowing in self-pity, I pick up my pride and walk into school deciding that I am going to use the time to come up with my revenge plan and I know seeing their faces is going to be an excellent motivation.

I plan to destroy them and everything they had worked for in this school and out, I just need how.

I head to my locker with a small smile as I hold my head up. I am so close to crumbling because it seems the entire school is laughing at me. It is like they all know and I am the only one left in the dark, but I don't crumble because I catch sight of Olivia standing right in front of my locker. I scoff within, holding myself at bay so I don't lose my shit.

"Taylor." She says when she sees me with a pitiful face. From the look on her face, it is like she's cried all her life. Why the sudden conscience Olivia, you didn't seem to have that when you were spreading your legs wide open for my boyfriend. You still have a lot of crying to do.

I don't know what to do or what she wants me to say. Tell her I forgive her? I turn to my locker, ignoring her and her pleas. I quickly take my books and turn away from her direction to the direction of my class.

"Taylor!" she cries out my name like she can't believe I'm walking out on her. I turn towards her but I don't fully turn when a poster posted catches my attention. I move towards it to get a closer look. I notice it is a flier for a game. My school team will join with that of Dawn's school to fight with two other schools in our zone.

It is something we do every two years and if you are the lucky captain of the two teams that leads the team to victory, you would gloat about for the two years before it is time for the next game.

I walk away as I realize Olivia used the opportunity to catch up to me but then I stop and turn to the flier again reality of what the flier could bring to me hitting me. Ethan winning would be a dream come true and a good start for his career and since anyone can audition for cheerleading captain which Olivia has always wanted, it's the perfect plan.

It's like the universe is on my side. Putting the ideas into my mind and creating an avenue where I can get great revenge and ruin their lives.

A bright smile makes its way to my lips as the wheels turn in my mind with many ideas to ruin them.

"Taylor!"

Olivia brings me out of my thoughts by calling my name. I turn to face her and even seeing her face doesn't make my smile go dim but brighter, which creeps her out as she isn't sure why there's a change in attitude.

"Yes?"

"A ... are, are you okay?" she asks, unsure.

"Of course, why wouldn't I be, right?" I say with a raised eyebrow.

"No! That's not what I mean." She says, but I cut her off her turning away from her to the poster. Her eyes follow my eyes of direction.

"Have you seen this?" I ask.

"No. I'm just seeing it." She says reading the contents of the poster. I spy her and I see the longing on her face when she gets to the cheerleading part and I just can't help the increase of my smile.

"I think it's a great opportunity," I say, which makes her immediately snap her head in my direction.

"Yo... You want to audition for the cheerleading captain?" she asks and I notice she's thinking that's what's going to be my way of getting back to her, stealing what she's always wanted.

"Psst, me? Never. I couldn't cheer to save a life but you, on the other hand, It's like you were born to, don't you think so. It's our last year."

She stares at me for a few seconds with a wary look probably trying to understand what I'm getting at so I put in all my effort to have a straight look so it doesn't come out on her my face I plan to destroy their lives seeing as I have never been one to hide how I'm feeling.

She turns away from me towards the poster when she probably doesn't see what she's looking for, "I may be born to cheer, but you know what happened the last time I signed up for that thing." She responds. It's obvious she's still not sure if things are back or how they can even be back. She's a bit confused.

Oh, I know, don't I? I know what happened the last time. Laura, Ethan's sister, was captain freshman year. Olivia auditioned to get in but Laura kicked her out even though she was fantastic. I still don't know why, but the whole kicking out caused a rift between Ethan and his sister.

"Yes, Olivia, I know, but now you won't be running to be a member, you'd be running to be captain."

"You're kidding, right? How can I, a nobody, become the captain of the cheerleading group that I haven't been practising with? The last time we thought we could manipulate Ethan to talk to his sister, but it didn't work."

Yeah, well, during the last time, there wasn't any great motive to get you there.

"You never know. This time might be different. The second time might be your charm." I say, but before she can say anything further, I turn away and walk to class.

Knowing Olivia, she'll be thinking more about if she should try it than why I would even tell her to do something that benefits her with all she's done and that's to my advantage.

I get to class a few minutes late, I silently apologize to the teacher and make my way to my regular seat, which is beside Ethan. Once I'm settled, I remember we haven't actually talked for three days and he doesn't know I know he is sleeping with Olivia if the bitch hasn't told him yet.

I sit there acting angry and listening to the teacher. After some minutes, I see his hand drop a note on my table. I don't look at it at first, still acting angry, but then I think what the hell and I open the letter and see:

I know I'm silly

Not talking to you for three days has made me down

I haven't been myself

Who does he think he's playing? You know that I'm not perfect. A part of me wants to believe this silly letter, but the other part fights really hard to take over my pitiful part.

I was acting childish

I don't know what came over me

To raise my voice on you, my precious gold

I'm sorry. Deeply sorry.

I'll ensure it doesn't happen again

Please forgive me.

Love Ethan.

I squeeze the paper and throw it out of the window of the class and concentrate again. He's sorry? Another wave of anger hits me I don't even have to act angry.

I am angry at myself for being so naïve and stupid. For letting them pay me like a fool.

When the class finishes, I leave the class first, heading towards the cheerleading team. I notice a few things about them and the skills they're lacking. I may not know how to cheer but when you have a best friend and a cousin who are very passionate about cheering, you tend to now one or two things about it and you even know when some people are slacking especially people like the current cheerleading team of my school.

An assembly is to be held with everyone interested in the game from my school and that of Dawn's school, so they're expected to arrive soon. I go to the school hall where the anointing is to be held. I notice only Brandon there at the moment and I walk towards him.

"Hey. You okay?" He asks me immediately he sees me and I squint my eyes at him wondering why he asked me that question.

"Ethan told me he's been a big dick to you for a while and I'm just checking in on you since he hasn't." he quickly adds, and that makes me want to roll my eyes at his supposed sympathy.

"Thanks for that, Bran. I'm good." I say and give him an awkward pat on his arm. I look away from him to see Alistair, Dawn, and Ivy approaching us. Glad for the incoming presence.

In order to dissolve the whole awkward situation before they reach Brandon and me, I give him a bright smile, "Look who's coming, Bran. Embrace yourself and don't fall." I say as he turns to face the trio walking towards us. He almost stumbles when his eyes focus on the people heading in our direction, making me chuckle.

I have never really seen a relationship with the boy shy and the girl bolder like this before, and the thought gives my inner turmoil a bit of peace.

"Hey guys," I say walking towards them.

"Hello," Dawn says, hugging me tightly. I notice her smile turn to a frown as she releases me. I turn to the direction of where she is looking and see Ethan and Olivia coming inside. "If only I could kill those two," Dawn says silently with a deadly tone. When I give her a straight look, she quickly adds, "but I won't do anything without your permission. I just can't wait for it."

"Thanks a lot, Dawn, but you won't be getting it," I say just before Ethan and Olivia get to us.

"You're here." Is what Olivia says when she gets to us directing her words to me. "We've been looking everywhere for you," she says, referring to Ethan and her.

I give her a raised eyebrow with a straight look, "Yeah well here I am." I say wondering why they were looking for me.

Ethan tries to smile at me, but I immediately look away. I notice Dawn's fist clenching and a hard look Alistair gives Ethan, but he's oblivious to it as he's busy trying to get me to forgive him for not talking to me, not knowing that I know about his affair with my best friend.

The bell rings, showing we should all settle down before anyone could pass another comment. Our principal Aaron climbed up the stage to address us.

"Good day, students. You all know why we're here. Our school has joined with our neighbouring school, Stuyvesant High School. Now, as we all know, there are different captains from the cheerleaders and Basketballers in the different schools, but for now, we need one captain for the two groups with you guys joined. So we'll need nominees for the post of captainship for the basketball team; the captains of the two teams."

Ethan and Tiffany stand up, "Anyone else?" Two other people I don't recognize, I'm guessing from Dawn's school, stand up. "These are the nominees for the basketball team, captainship. A round of applause, please." Everyone claps, "You may take your seats."

They all sit down, "And the cheerleading teams, the two captains should please stand up." Cassandra Brown, the captain of the cheerleading team for my school, stands up and so does Dawn. "Anybody else?" he asks. Nobody stands up for a while till I push Olivia up. It surprises everyone. She definitely earns evil glances from Dawn but I keep making her confident from my seat, "Clap for them, please." They receive a round of applause before they take their seats.

"We have two months before the game, but two weeks to pick your captains. They have just two weeks to show you why they should be picked. Good luck, nominees. We'll meet here in the next two weeks with the names of our winning captains," he says before leaving.

And as he leaves the stage, a realization comes into my head; I am left with just two weeks to get the revenge settled.
