Taylor's POV

It's the day after Rose was put down. Liz had messaged me, Damon had called Rose like he said he would. One problem dealt with, now to deal with Jules. I don't know where Tyler went to this morning. But I have bigger problems with the pack in town.

If Jules keeps going after Damon and his brother. It could lead to all of our deaths. But I won't let it get that far. Jules may not care about the packs safety, but I do. I'm watching the news. "Due to the recent tragedies that have plagued our town, we will be holding a memorial in Town Square today to honor all those we have lost. Join us and hope that as a community we can begin to heal" Carol says on TV.

I sigh and turn off the TV. This is all Jules' fault. Had she stayed in Florida none of this would be happening. All the people that died, would be alive right now. So would Rose. But Jules is just putting a target on all our backs.

I decide to go to the grill for a drink. It's far to early in the morning to deal with Jules. As I was leaving Carol appears. "Saw you on TV" I tell her.

"Morning Taylor, Tyler up?" she asks.

"I think he's still sleeping" I lie.

"That boy" she says shaking her head. "Will you be attending the memorial?" she asks.

"Doubtful, some of my friends have popped into town for a visit" I tell her. "But if I find time, I'll pop by" I assure her.

"Well I'm gonna go shower and get ready for the memorial" she states. I nod and leave. I go to the grill and order a coke. I want to have a clear head when I confront Jules and see the pack.

"Hello there" a vampire in a suit says as he joins me.

"Can't you vampires let me drink in peace?" I ask rhetorically. "Who are you anyway?" I ask.

"My name is Elijah and you are?" he asks.

"Taylor Lockwood" I tell him.

"Any relation to Carol and Tyler Lockwood?" he asks.

"My sister in law and nephew" I state. "So why are you talking to me?" I ask.

"I make it my business to know all the supernaturals in town and determine the threat they pose" he states.

"I pose none, the others wolves might" I tell him.

"Other wolves?" he asks.

"Jules and the pack" I state. "She's the reason all those people died. I plan on taking down a few pegs" I tell him.

"You sure it wise to face her alone?" he asks.

"Thanks, but I can take care of myself" I assure him. I finish my drink. "Gotta go" I tell him and leave. Once outside I take a deep breath and soon catch the packs scent. I set off. It leads me to a trailer in the woods.

"Taylor, hey girl" Stevie says smiling.

"What you doing here Taylor?" Brady asks.

"I'm here to tell you all to clear out" I state.

"Sorry, but Jules is alpha and she ordered us here" he states.

"Not for long, if she keeps messing with my nephew's safety. I will be taking her title" I state.

"You plan on challenging her?" Stevie asks.

"If she doesn't back down" I state.

"She's not scared of you" Brady tells me. "Neither am I" he adds. I grab him and throw him into a tree. He lands on the ground hard groaning in pain.

"I've been a wolf longer and I am stronger then you & Jules combined. Remember that Brady" I tell him. "Stevie tell Jules I'm looking for her" I tell him. He nods and I leave. Deciding to go back to the Lockwoods. Hoping Tyler will be there to talk.

As I enter the house I hear a phone ringing. It stops ringing and I hear Tyler shout "Help! Help!". I race upstairs to see a vampire toss Tyler's phone onto the desk.

"Who's number was that, hm? Damn it Tyler! I'm trying to save your life, can't you see that?" the vampire demands.

"Let me guess Stefan Salvatore" I say.

"Taylor Lockwood" he says.

"Now what do we owe the pleasure?" I ask him.

"I'm trying to stop your nephew from getting himself killed" he states. "He had a go at Caroline" he adds.

"Tyler I told you to leave it to me" I snap.

"They killed my uncle and you expect me to do nothing?" he demands.

"I expect you to trust me" I tell him. "You're not ready for this Tyler" I state.

"Well Jules disagrees" he states.

"Tyler, I told you to stay away from that bitch" I snap. "She is going to get you killed, you're lucky Stefan came and not Damon. Otherwise y would be dead" I state.

"I don't know what else to say to you Tyler. I came back to this town because I wanted a life, I wanted to exist where I could have friends and where I could build a family. I have that here, we can both have that" Stefan tells him. Just then his phone rings.

He answers the call. "Hey. Is everything okay?" he asks the person.

"That depends. How badly do you want to keep her alive?" I hear Jules on the other end. I silently growl. I take the phone form Stefan.

"Jules, what the hell are you playing at?" I demand.

"Where's Tyler?" she asks.

"With me, where he belongs" I state. Stefan takes his phone back.

"Jules, where's Caroline?" he demands. Oh if she's hurt Caroline, she is dead.

"You made a mistake, Stefan. I'm gonna give you a chance to fix it" Jules tells him.

"Where is she?" he asks her.

"Right here. Want proof?" Jules asks. "He needs proof" she states. We hear a gun shot and Caroline scream in pain.

"Brady, you son of a bitch!" I scream.

"What's happening?" Tyler asks confused.

"Hurt her again and you're dead" Stefan tells Jules.

"I hurt her again, and she's dead. Bring Tyler to me, the clearing by Wickery Falls. You have 20 minutes until she dies" she states hanging up.

"You see what happens when y trust Jules Tyler?" I demand. "Because you, your friend. Who is innocent in killing Mason. Is being tortured and is being sentenced to death" I snap.

"I never wanted anyone to get hurt" he states.

"With Jules, someone always gets hurt Tyler" I tell him in a calmer tone. "That's why I told you to stay away from her" I state. "Stefan, you gonna help me save Caroline?" I ask.

"Of course, do you know where they are?" he asks.

"I do" I state.

"I want to help" Tyler states.

"You've done enough" I tell him.

"No, Caroline is in this mess because of me" he states. "I want to help" he adds.

"Fine, but you do as I say from this moment on" I tell him and he nods his head. "Jules is mine" I tell them. "Call your brother, see if he wants to join us" I tell Stefan. He nods his head.

(Mini time skip)

Stefan, Tyler and I arrive at the clearing. "I know you're out there" Jules says. We step into the light.

"This ends now Jules" I tell her.

"Where's Caroline?" Stefan asks.

"Locked up tight" she states. "You're choosing the wrong side Taylor" she tells me.

"I am choosing the side that will keep my nephew alive" I tell her.

"Let her go, and I'll release Tyler. It doesn't have to get any messier than it already has. I'm not your enemy, Jules" Stefan tells her.

"It's a little late to be waving the white flag, don't you think?" she asks.

"You need to leave town. No one else has to get hurt" Stefan states.

"I'm not leaving without Tyler and Taylor" she states.

"Tyler is free to make his own decisions, as soon as you release Caroline" Stefan tells her. Damon finally joins us.

"My brother the peacemaker. Since Stefan got here before me I'm gonna let him try it his way before I resort to my way, which is a little bloodier. So give us Caroline" Damon tells her.

"Let go of Tyler" Jules tells Stefan.

"Give us Caroline Jules, or prepare to lose your precious title" I sneer.

"Without a full moon it's not an even fight and you know it. We will take you" Damon tells her.

"I'm not so sure about that, tough guy" she states. She whistles, and the rest of her pack walks out of their hiding places, all holding weapons including stakes, cross-bows, and a flame-thrower. "Let's try this again. Give us Taylor and Tyler" she says.

I give Stefan a look, that says 'trust me'. He lets Tyler go. "You both heard her. Go. Get over there" Damon tells us.

"Come Tyler" I say and lead him over to the trailer.

"Which one of you killed Mason?" Brady asks.

"Uh, that'd be me" Damon states.

"Boys, make sure that one suffers" Brady tells the pack.

"Get Caroline out" I whisper as the fight starts. Tyler nods and goes into the trailer. "Jules!" I shout and rush her. She jumps on top of the trailer. "Face me coward" I snarl flashing my eyes. Brady and another member charge me. I jump and they run into each other. "Gotta be faster boys" I tell them and join the main fight.

When Caroline comes out, Jules goes to shot her. But I pin her to the side of the trailer by her shot gun. Suddenly, all of the werewolves except Tyler and I begin to scream in pain. They all cover their ears with their hands and fall to their knees. I let Jules fall. I turn to see a warlock.

"Elijah made a promise to Elena. I'm here to see it's upheld. You need to go. Get out of here. Now" he tells the vampires. Caroline leaves with the Salvatores. "When your friends awaken, give them a message: They need to get the hell out of this town" he tells Tyler and I. Before leaving.

"Shame I was looking forward to fighting her" I state glaring down at Jules. "Go check on Caroline, I'll leave a message for Jules and the pack. If they don't listen, I will make them listen" I tell him.

"Jules spoke of a code of honur" he states. "That werewolves live by a code of loyalty, we take care of each other" he tells me.

"We do" I admit. "But she takes it to far" I tell him. "She doesn't care about the innocent humans that get killed or innocent vampires like Caroline" I state. "We maybe werewolves, but we were once human Tyler and she's forgotten that" I tell him. "Don't be like her Tyler, be like Mason. Hell be smarter then him" I tell him.

"Promise to stick around?" he asks.

"Of course, but not because of the werewolf code. I am staying because we're family and no doubt Mason would haunt me forever if I left you to fend for yourself" I state. "No go" I tell him and he leaves. I look down at Jules and go into the trailer. I fill a water gun with wolfsbane filled water. It burned, but it'll be worth it.

I head outside and skirt Jules in the face with it. She screams as she wakes to her face burning. "Wakey wakey" I say. "If you ever endanger my nephew again Jules, I will kill you. We clear?" I ask her.

"Crystal" she groans.

"Good and the warlock has a message for you and the pack. You need to get the hell out of this town" I tell her. "If you don't, you'll deal with me. Stay the hell away from my nephew" I snarl. "You have until tomorrow night to leave" I add before leaving.
