Chapter 8

-Louis Point of View-

"Hey Niall?" I asked as I returned from the back. His head snapped up from the bag of processed, fatty, crisps he was eating. He swallowed, wiping his greasy fingers on his trousers.

"What's up?" He asked, tongue gliding over his metal trained teeth.

"Remember when Liam came here? With Harry?" Niall cocked and eyebrow.

"Yeah, what about it?" He replied.

"Well... did you guys talk about something?" I asked leaning against the counter. Niall nodded.

"I asked him about his girlfriend. He seemed upset about it. Said they had a falling out. Why?" He asked. I shook my head.

"He just rushed out and I got curious." I lied

"Yeah I noticed that..." There was a bit of silence, which rarely ever happens for us.

"We don't have anymore clients tonight, right?" I asked him. He shook his head and began to munch on chips again. "Think you can do me a favour for 60 quid?" He smiled and shook his head in disbelief.

"Sure. What now? A tattoo of Harry's name? An H in a heart maybe?" I shoved his shoulder playfully and he laughed, sliding off the counter.

"No. Just something I let slip away." Niall raised his eyebrows again, silently telling me to continue.

"I was thinking a music note."

I finally got out of bed and went to Anna's for breakfast. Surprisingly enough, I saw Niall there ordering out. Probably for work. He seemed to give me a double take before giving me a small smile and a head nod. I nodded back, but then he started to approach me.

"Hey Li, How's UNI treating ya?" He asked holding a bag of greasy take away. I wiped the corners of my mouth slightly, gliding my fingers down my stubble.

"Treating me well. It's's alright for now." I told him, mouth travelling back to my coke. He nodded and looked at his bags.

"S'good. So I was wondering if you're not busy, you wanna go for a walk? When ya finish yer food course." He suggested nervously, accent more prominent. A smile crept onto my lips.

"Yeah sure I'd like that. I don't have classes until later." I told him. He beamed at me in reply, clearing his throat.

"Okay I'll meet you back here in 15, 20, okay?" He told me. I flashed a small smile and agreed before he jogged out of Anna's with his take away.

-Harry Point of View-

I looked at my arm over and over again. It was so smooth and innocent. Tattooless. And now that was about to be changed. I know what you're thinking.

"What are you doing?!"

Well, I'm getting a sleeve. I thought it'd be different, expand my horizons. Liam doesn't know. Course he'd kill me. Nobody knows really, cept me. I just want something not as small. Something people will look at and think about. Something to express myself. That people can see. That never leaves my mind.

I walked into the tattoo parlour early in the morning. Louis was at front desk. Looking effortlessly gorgeous. (as usual)  His black fringe now had streaks of blue. Plugs now changed to solid shiny black cylinders. T-Shirt tight around his chest. Tattoos like poems on his skin. He flicked his eyes up from some papers, and he blinked at me. A bit shocked to see me.

"Hey Harry, what brings you here?" He asked. I flicked my tongue over my lips.

"My legs I guess." He rolled his eyes and stood up from the desk.

"Oh aren't you comedic." I chuckled and he pushed his fringe from his eyes.

"I'm quite the hysterical person." Louis hummed.

"Definitely can tell." He said with a smile. "But honestly, you just come to chat me up or are you here to get your nipples pierced like the last guy." I cringed inwardly, but cleared my throat and spoke up.

"I was actually wondering if you could give me another tattoo." I told him. At first he seemed a bit surprised but after a second he slowly nodded his head. Trying to process an image.

"Alright. Well, what were you thinking?" He questioned. I rubbed my bare arm.

"Your probably gonna think I'm absolutely made, but a sleeve." I told him. A smile formed on his lips as his eyebrows raised and his eyes widened to the size of serving plates.

"Seriously?"

"Yeah."

"Well I don't think you're mad at all. If anything I can't see why you'd rush into it but, it's your body." He sighed. He motioned me to follow him behind the desk to look at the computer. "Got any Idea of what you'd want?" He asked. I looked at him and gave a half shrug.

"Well like, I mean like, I was thinking like, a microphone with music notes around it. And like records." Louis cooed and his eyes widened interested.

"Hope you got a picture of that." Thankfully, I did and I slid it over to him. "1950's mic, classic." He looked over it. "S'Got roses too that's sick." I smiled and rubbed over my arm. "You know this is gonna take a few sessions right? Like outline, basic shape, shading, all that." I nodded.

"Yeah I know." He smiled.

"S'a beautiful piece though, let me go and trace it up. Alright?" I nodded, watching him as he strut away. His form more petite and delicate from the first first time saw him walking out of Anna's.

I heard the bell ring and I saw Niall come in with a bag of food before Louis popped back. I kept myself in the back. Hoping he wouldn't see me here. I wanted Louis to tattoo me, as bad as that sounds. Niall's a nice guy don't get me wrong, but I just wanted to talk to Louis. To get with Louis actually. But that's never going to happen anyways.

"Hey Ni, you in a rush or something?" I heard Louis ask quietly. Niall smiled.

"Meeting a friend no big deal." His cheeks turned pink.

"Oh, who?"

"Liam. We're going for a walk." Niall bashfully replied. Louis playfully elbowed his friend.

"Someone's got it bad" Louis sing songed. Niall hit him playfully. Louis winced. "Tattoo Niall. Tattoo!" Louis whisper shouted. Niall chuckled.

"Sorry bro, and I do not have it bad. He's cute yeah but he's like a virgin on my level." I bit my tongue to hide my laugh. Liam a virgin, yeah right. Even I have given him a drunken brotherly snog at least once.

"Niall just cause he has 3 tattoos, is in college, and is straight doesn't mean a thing. People like us only show up on rare occasions anyways. The  Gay, Bisexual, and Pansexual tattooed brotherhood is small." Louis told him.

"Oh piss off you slob, straight poles can bend with a little heat right?" Niall chuckled. Louis turned Niall around pushing him towards the door.

"Don't be a cheeky bastard. Go play with your little Liam in the park. Don't talk to strangers and stay away from dog shit." Louis told him in a motherly voice. A smile curled onto my lips.

"Yes mum, Don't wait up. And don't eat my food either!" Niall warned. Louis pushed his back.

"I don't even like the food you get, now go!" Louis laughed as he pushed Niall out the door. I heard the playful jingle above the door and came back out to Louis. "Were you hiding?" Louis asked staring at the back then back at me. I shrugged.

"Socially Awkward." I said. Louis rolled his eyes.

"Course you are. Are we doing this tattoo or not?" He asked. I rubbed my bare arm for the last time.

"Lead the way."
