okok so 

I was buying a craft knife right and here we have this thing in stores called self checkout where you essentially scan the stuff u wanna buy and bag em yourself. thus 'self-checkout'

but apparently they have like a warning(?) thing when ppl purchase dangerous-sharp-pointy- things-that-can-maim-ppl........... or otherwise a smol harmless craft knife that was like 2cm long

and so when i scan it, the machine goes

"PLEASE WAIT FOR SUPERVISOR ASSISTANCE."

and i was like dUH HEK I WASNT TRYING TO STEAL ANYTHING WHAT I CANT KILL ANYONE WITH THIS TINY KNIFE

and the lady walks over and looks me up and down like

"oh sorry, we have a security scan when people buy knives, and apparently this counts as one."

and i nod like, ok understandable

but then shes like "but you have to be over 16, so... can I like see some photo identification?"

AND I SWEAR SHE EXPECTS ME TO GO "OH IM NOT OVER 16" cause i look fetus 

but i wHIP out my wallet and pull out my school ID card like

"hAH YOU THOUGHT--"

and she stares for a second, looks at the card with my DOB, back at me and back at the card for a few seconds (i think she was doing mental math)

and then she finally scans her card and ok's my purchase

LESSON LEARNT DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE PUNY CRAFT KNIVES

also i felt a triumph when i was in fact old enough to buy a knife by myself heh

but yeah i lowkey had a heart attack omggggg
