Chapter 5 Coconut Chaos

Ben's POV

I woke up with Sophia in my arms. It had been four days sense the crash. We smelled like sea water, which is were we took our "bathes". I had run out of contacts and had to wear my glasses instead. I hated those stupid things. They made me look like a nerd. My friends always told me I didn't, but they would joke about time to time. I guess that made me feel better about it. I never thought something like this would happen to us. All those days going to school. Everything. I never thought in a million years this would happen. But hey. The people on the Titanic didn't think they'd get hit by an iceberg.

I just sat there awake. I didn't want to wake up Sophia that's rude. A few minutes later she woke up though. "Morning," I told her.  "Hey," she said back in a tired tone. She sat up rubbing her eyes and I sat up stretching.
"Sorry I was laying on you and kept you awake. I didn't know that I was or that you were awake." She told me looking my way. "It's ok," replied blushing a little, "it wasn't a big deal." She smiled at me. We walked outside to see everyone else up. "Hey lover birds." Max said to me and Sophia. We blushed and awkwardly looked at  each other. " Leave them alone Max," Aubrey said to him."

"Thank you Aubrey. See this is why we are friends." I said with a proud look on my face gesturing toward her. "Yeah Ben I got you," she said. "Plus we already know your getting married so what's the point in making fun of you?" I looked toward with the dirtiest look I could make. Sophia was completely red and was tiring to cover her face.

"Ok we're done really we are." Jay said bending over laughing. I guess you still can have fun on a abandoned island. "Ok what now?"

"Well we found a bunch of coconuts yesterday. We need to try to open them." Lilly held up a bunch of coconuts in a vine net we made. So we got started after breakfast.

-------------------------------------*

I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW HARD IT IS TO OPEN A COCONUT!!!!!!! Jesse it's really hard. We tried throwing it toward a tree, we banged it against rocks, we even created a pulley system with a rock on one end and all except one of us pulling it up. When we let it go it landed on the coconuts. In the end it only cracked four open.

"Alright guys," I hear Jay say in her normal tone. "It's come to this point. We will have to refer to this." She gestured toward an iPhone. The rest of us just stared. WE COULD HAVE USED THAT TO CALL FOR HELP THE WHOLE TIME. "This baby can stand through everything it has to crack this coconut." She raised it up in the air. "WAIT WAIT NO JAY WAIT!!!!" We were all screaming in different ways for her to stop.

CRACK!

Her phone was broken and hanging by wires. (You can imagine the damage.) "My phone!" She cried. "WE COULD HAVE USED THAT TO CALL FOR HELP." We all screamed at her. "Oh," she said in tears. We just face palmed. "Wait," Jin said looking up at us. "If she had her phone what about ours?" I had total forgotten about our phones. I ran to my book bag. "Mines not here." I said glumly, it must have fallen out. "Mine either." I heard back and forth from others.

"Wait I have mine!!" I heard Hayley scream. We all crowded around her. She quickly dialed 911 on her phone. It rung. Well almost rung. Then it stopped. "No signal." She said in disappointment and we all groaned. "So we really are stuck her forever." Sophia said tearing up. I just walked over and hugged her. She buried her face in my shirt. Sadly, it's true. I thought as I looked into the woods.
