It's winter break :D The weather is FINALLY warmer than like -25 lmfao

It's gotten up to 4°C so it feels like summer XD Plus it's been kinda sunny so I've actually been outside every day this week and I'm proud of myself because I never willingly go outside during the winter! >:3

I don't think I've been outside for longer than 20 minutes lol but it's better than nothing! XD I've been playing with Athena in the snow :3

Otherwise I spent a few days just lazing around, playing Stardew Valley and stuff to heal from The Hunger Games 😂 It still hurts like a bitch but I'm finally somewhat productive again lol

Do you guys remember that one artist that I subscribed to while she was live streaming on Twitch and she said something like "yunofangirl! I recognize your name from Instagram!" and I was starstruck? XD I won her giveaway back in November or something and it finally arrived today!!

I got up this morning and my dad said that I had gotten a package from Hong Kong and I was really confused because I never order anything for myself and whenever I do, it's definitely not from outside of Europe, but then I remembered the giveaway and my heart skipped a beat lol

They're so pretty!! ^-^ I even got a sticker and a business card lol, plus she made a tiny drawing on the package so I can't throw it away >w<

I was so excited to show my sister because I got the Razor one for her and I've kept it a secret for about 3 months now lol

So yeah, that made me super happy :3

The Hunger Games spoilers up ahead 😂

We watched Catching Fire on Monday and now both Hannah and I are crushing on Finnick 😂✌️

Peeta might've carried the first two books/movies, but Finnick carried the third book/third and fourth movie 🤷‍♀️

WHICH IS WHY I WAS SO SAD THAT HE WAS NOT DONE JUSTICE IN THE THIRD MOVIE

First of all, Finnick is supposed to be a fucking wreck :) He barely even leaves the hospital because he's doing that bad mentally, he can't concentrate and he's never really "there" and that rope is a form of therapy for him

And whenever Katniss falls apart as well, Finnick is the ONLY person who understands and they really bond and become such good friends BUT NOT IN THE MOVIE 😭😭

But because he's not as much of a wreck, we didn't get to see moments like this:

But THANK GOD they brought my favorite Finnick moment!! (When he says that thing about pulling himself out of nightmares each morning and finding there's no relief in waking)

Also, the Peeta parts when he's being broadcasted from the Capitol wasn't nearly as heartbreaking as in the books XD He looked a lot more beaten up and just generally awful in my head, and when he says "dead by morning!", he's supposed to have insane eyes, the camera is supposed to fall, and then blood splatters on the floor

We finished the last movie yesterday

First of all, THEY DIDN'T ADD THE CAKE SCENE!!! Bruh that was the moment that gave me hope :( At the end of Finnick and Annie's wedding, a cake is supposed to be brought out and Katniss understands that only one person could've decorated it - Peeta

It was the moment that showed that he was actually improving and it gave me hope and they didn't even bring it :/

Also, I'm lowkey pissed about Johanna not giving the training part that she deserved :))))

But what bothered me the most was how they couldn't portray the pain that Finnick and Katniss went through

I'm still pissed from the last movie because Finnick is supposed to be a fucking wreck lol

But I was really hoping we could watch Katniss break :( I mean, we do, but it was so much worse in the book

There's never been a time where I've looked at a character and believed that there was no hope for them when they broke. I always believed that they would pick themselves back up one way or another, but I genuinely thought that there was no hope for Katniss in the book

After Prim's death, Katniss just couldn't talk anymore. She couldn't cry. She just seemed empty. And after she killed Coin, she went into a suicidal rage and was kept in a room for who knows how many days or weeks, desperately trying to starve herself and going crazy because all she wants to do is to die

When she's finally sent back to district 12 with Haymitch, she just can't do anything anymore. All she could do was sit in the living room and stare at the fireplace and occasionally go to the bathroom. Greasy Sae had to keep checking up on Katniss and make sure that she actually ate

Reading about Katniss like that seriously hurt so bad, but the moment that broke me was the fucking cat 😭😭😭 We didn't see it that much in the movies, but Katniss really did not have a good relationship with Buttercup lol, but she protected him because he was Prim's cat

So when they just cried together, I felt that :')))) I cried so hard to that part in the movie as well but at least I wasn't nearly vomiting again lmao

I would've liked for them to have brought the book of everything Katniss and Peeta didn't want to forget about everyone they lost in the movie as well :') But I really liked the touch of Annie's letter! That broke me lmao

But I wish they had found a way to bring Katniss' thoughts from the last few pages in the book :') Like how she explained that it wasn't Gale's fiery passion that she needed, but Peeta's soft, gentle love

At least they brought the "you love me. Real or not?" "Real", but I wish they had found a way to bring the part where Katniss explains how Peeta and Katniss slowly healed together. How it was Peeta who saved Katniss

I wasn't a huge fan of Gale, but I still think that the ending didn't do him justice XD They could've at least mentioned that he visited from time to time, I don't like the idea of Katniss' childhood friend just abandoning her forever ;-;

So yeah lol, this will probably be my last time talking about The Hunger Games until the next time I read the books or watch the movies so you don't need to worry about me ranting on and on about it 😂
