We wait, girls will always wait for you to call us later,
We pay attention, girls will always try to remember what you like,
We care, girls will always want to know how you're doing and how your day is going,
We hurt, girls will always make unknown sacrifices for the ones they care about,
We cry, girls will always cry from broken hearts and promises,
We scream, girls will always scream on the top of their lungs while driving with the windows down,
We learn, girls will always learn from their mistakes and make sure that they don't happen again,
What guys don't know is that us girls experience more than they are aware of.
What guys don't know is that us girls remember all the mental abuse and the broken promises
What guys don't know is that us girls– we are traumatized.
Us girls, words hold empty meaning until proven with actions.
But most importantly,
We eventually heal, girls will always heal– it may take some time, it may take some tears and screams, and it also may take a lot more than some but eventually, we heal and move on.
So take care of the girls you come across,
Treat them with care and be gentle with their hearts.
Others before weren't so gentle.
Don't become like the others.
