You and your brother were in Punch-Out Pizzeria watching your commercial for your new business you two had made for yourselves. After seeing it through to the end you questioned if it was too much with the accents. But the guy who suggested the idea, Joseppie said it was perfect and you chuckle and hold him up to it when an familiar voice rang through the joint.

"If it isn't Brooklyn's Favorite Failures; the Stupid Mario Brothers!" Said a burly guy sporting a black beard and a wrecking crew cap.

"Oh great spikes here." Your brother bemoaned.

"Hey Spike." You said voice dripping with venom as Spike teased you about the accents.

"Tell me have you even gotten one call since you left me to start that dumb company?" Spike asked.

"No... but it's also our first day." Br/n said pulling out his phone and checking it.

"Well in that case, I'm gonna give you your first job. A repeat costumer of mine." Spike said mulling it over a second.

"Hey thanks spike." Br/n said without questioning it.

"They live uptown and always have a problem with their bathroom. I'll let them know I sent real plumbers to fix their problem." Spike said finishing his meal and paying without tip.

"Oh thanks spike. Well hopefully we can get this done and dusted for ya." You say knowing that the van you guys got was probably not gonna make it all the way to uptown.

"C'mon Br/n!" You say rushing out the restaurant.

"What for?" He called after quickly catching up but being very winded.

"Need to get there while spike is still contacting them about us." You reason with him.

"That... makes sense. Let's-a go." He said starting back up catching his second wind. You smile at your brother who for all his bravado that can be easily be lost still supported you.

You two had to rush through a construction area to cut the time to get there in half but they managed to get to the location with time to spare.

"We have hit the big time!" Br/N said after giving a low whistle. You chuckle as you give your bro a fist bump as you two headed into the fancy looking apartment.

After ringing the bell and getting introduced to the couple who owned the place, you two followed them up to the second floor towards their problem pipes in the bathroom.

though your bother got a bit spooked by the couples dog, Francis, he made a horrible mistake by breaking the dog's favorite rawhide bone.

Francis was understandably pissed at him.

you hadn't noticed this yet but had grabbed your brother to get the proper tools for the job.

After assessing the situation you fixed the plumbing problem to only encounter a different problem, Francis standing guard at the door before closing it behind him and spitting out the broken rawhide bone.

"well this was a poor day to not have a spare one of those in the bag, eh bro?" he said reminiscing about all the dogs that used to chase them on site before giving them rawhide bones to appease them.

"Yep... huge oversight. so what now? We're trapped!" your bother said shaking before Francis decided that there was enough talk and lunged. you to your credit shoved your bro out of the way and made sure that Francis didn't get to your vitals before trapping him in the shower stall.

you relax a moment before noting the drip came back with a vengeance.

"whelp looks like this job is gonna be a bit of a bust. just two stars minimum and we'd keep our heads above water." you mutter to yourself as you and your brother managed to calm the pipes and save Francis after he tried to escape the shower stall and lunge at you again but sailing out the window as he missed you by a few inches.

"Ok Francis... i'll make you a deal, we get you the nicest rawhide bone to replace the one we broke and you let us try and repair the bathroom, Deal?" you say grunting as Francis nodded twice whimpering staying as still as possible. Br/N was struggling a bit but managed to get the both of you back into the bathroom and cleaned up as much as you could before the couple came in as you two were repairing the sink, they gasped at the mess.

"Well we had just about everything done but Francis got a bit curious and things went a little sideways but, being plumbers we can at least repair the sink and clean the mess at no extra charge to you." you said as Br/N was drying off Francis carefully.

"Oh thank you, we'll let you finish up and hopefully we won't need to call you for this again." the couple said smiling knowing they weren't being charged more.

You handed Francis a treat as you two left for behaving long enough for them to repair what the three of you broke. The pup seemed pleased at your peace offering until he got his replacement rawhide.

"Well that's our first job done. what do you think bro?" you asked elbowing your bro on the way out heading back towards the Pizzeria.

"I'm just glad you saved my skin with the mutt, and saved our business with your quick thinking." he said sighing.

"Hey i cant say i did it all on my own, i could tell you still try to keep that workout routine going when you pulled us both back in." you say smirkingat your brother who rubbed the back of his neck.

"Yeah i'm just ready to go home, i'm pooped." he said stretching out before getting in the van.

you chuckled and hopped in and managed to start the old girl and head home in one piece. Unbeknownst to the two of you the dominoes had started to fall on your biggest adventure yet.
