CHAPTER THREE.
DIM LIGHTS attempted to lighten away the shadows that surrounded the multi-story car park, but it didn't work. Shadows swallowed up each side of the multi-story concrete building, Alessia jogging to guarantee she wouldn't loose track of the wanted boy.
Since having made a dash away from the day of the dead parade, Alessia had noticed since his hood having fallen down, that the boy was brunette, with slight curls making up the a bundle of hair on his head. From what she had seen from his side profile as he ran up and around the car park, was that he wasn't that much older than herself, in fact he was most likely Alessia's age.
He had a flimsy backpack swaying back and forth as he continued to run, Alessia beginning to notice he was out of breathe. The heavy breathing alongside noticing him beginning to sway back and forth told the girl that as she continued her advance up behind him.
From the absent sounds of his footsteps, Alessia gathered he had stopped. Most likely to take a break. Or he thought he had gotten away.
He hadn't noticed the lingering presence of the girl only metres away from him, Alessia bringing herself around the corner. If he was to turn around, he would see her as she came into view.
With the sound of a roaring engine and screeching tyres, Alessia jumped back behind the wall as the boy turned around.
There was only one person who would come up here on a motorbike like that. It was the same person she saw watching her during the parade, watching her whilst she was watching Willie stalk this boy before her.
It seemed the sound of the motorbike buzzing through their ears gave the boy in the blue coat that had red and black stripes along it the boost of adrenaline he needed.
"He won't get far." Alessia mumbled, taking one of her knifes, playing with it as she continued her walk. She began to balance the tip of the knife on her finger, almost to see how long she could balance the knife when she heard the sound of a motorbike behind her.
Then the helmet and black attire came into view, Alessia turning her head to give the faceless person a signature smile.
"Fancy seeing you here, Saya." Alessia greeted the girl. She watched as they lifted the helmet covering her face, that confirming to Alessia that it was indeed Saya Kuroki from Kings Dominion sitting on the bike in front of her.
"Managold."
"Oh last name basis. That's cute." Alessia teased, about to make another comment when sirens faintly made themselves known below them.
"I was about to ask you why the fuck you're out here, but-"
"-but the cops have decided to crash the moment." Alessia finished her sentence, Saya nodding her head before patting the small space remaining behind Saya on the seat.
"I don't trust you or your unpredictability. Nor do i ever want to." Alessia held a hand to her heart, exaggerating a pain to her chest at Saya's words. "-but I do know you hate the cops just as much as me."
"Bloody too right. I hate those dicks." Alessia announced, climbing onto the back of Saya's bike. She wrapped her arms around Saya's waist, feeling the girl stiffen up at the contact. Alessia noticed this.
"Relax Saya, I don't bite." Alessia teased, her watching as Saya turned her head. "Unless you want me too." She winked at the girl, Saya rolling her eyes. A heartbeat later, the bike was moving, revving at some speed. The breeze collided with Alessia's face, her hair flowing back behind her.
A panicked looking boy before her was back on Alessia's radar, him continuing to run- even if there was bike, of which was going a lot faster than he was, behind him. Alessia had to give to him, he was determined on getting away.
"Red and blue, twelve o'clock." Alessia shouted as she turned around, the familiar colours of the police lights reflecting off the walls that surrounded them. The sirens only growing louder with each passing second.
Alessia leaned down to grab one of her knifes attached to the inside of her thigh, when she lost her balance momentarily.
"A warning would have been nice."
"Now why would I do that?" Saya teased, making Alessia roll her eyes this time around. Glancing back at the teenage boy, Alessia saw him stop, his hands covering his face, almost like he was preparing himself as the bike ran closer,
and closer,
and closer towards him.
When it stopped. Drifting to one side, Alessia held the knife in her hand when the bike came to a stop. Three police cars had made themselves stationary upon seeing the three teenagers stopped metres before them.
"Put your weapons on the ground! Now!" One of the men in uniform shouted. Alessia rose an eyebrow, ready to fling her knife at some speed at his neck, when Saya caught her eye. She shook her head in a subtle movement. It was no surprise that Alessia rolled her eyes again, not liking one bit that her skill of knife throwing could be demonstrated in this moment in time.
Instead, following Saya's lead, Alessia climbed off the bike, making sure to give the boy still with his hands covering his face a good hard look. Alessia couldn't help but bring her index finger to her lip, shushing the boy from making any noise before turning her body around.
"Weapons on the ground now!" The officers repeated. Saya placed her katana down, leaning it against her pride and joy that was her motorbike. Alessia grabbed her bow from her back, placing that beside Saya's weapon. Sliding the knife up her sleeve was Alessia's next course of action, the two girls holding their hands up in surrender to the large group of police officers threatening them with guns.
It was silent. With the girls looking weaponless, the police officers exchanged looks, but not one of them lowered their guns.
The boy watching the ongoing scene behind them stood in shock, watching the two girls in matching leather, holding their hands up in surrender.
"Boys and their toys." Alessia tutted, counting the number of police officers before her. "You know you should really invest in something other than guns. I have something in mind."
None of them responded. No sound in response to Alessia's words before she spoke up again. Instead, two the police officers stepped forward, handcuffs in hand. "Let me show you."
They didn't have time to focus, as Alessia threw her knife out of her sleeve, it slicing right across the leading police officers throat standing before dropping to the floor. Saya took that as her opportunity to commence herself into combat with the one stood before her, knocking him out in seconds.
"Huh- i would give you a round of applause but-" Alessia held her bloody hand up, Saya ignoring her as the two advanced their way to the rest of the police officers.
It was astonishing to watch, two girls, probably the same age as the boy watching from behind, fighting the police officers. And not once did they show a struggle. Saya with her high quality combat skills, Alessia too with these skills, as well as her knowledge of using her knife, the girls were unstoppable.
Her use of the quiver filled with black arrows to match her black bow had made itself visible, Alessia having decided to throw bag that was on her back on the floor. There was nothing else in the bag- making it useless to her now. All she had to do, once they finished the fighting here that is, is to grab her bow, place that on her back to go alongside her black quiver.
A stab here, a grunt there, Alessia was frankly enjoying herself. It was like a sense of relief flew off her every time she penetrated someone with an arrow, or slicing her knife across their skin. Call her psychotic, she didn't care.
She was at a school who taught the basic arts of killing after all.
A thud colliding with the concrete flooring was the last thing heard as the combat came to an end. Deep exhales were heard coming from both girls, Alessia giving Saya a thumbs up for her part in the fight.
"Good job."
"Wow is the Saya complimenting me?" Saya rolled her eyes at Alessia, the two girls turning their attention onto the brunette stranger behind them. "So who is he the-"
Interrupting her own question, Alessia let out a sigh. Before either the stranger or Saya could begin to wonder why Alessia had stopped herself, the fast reflex of turning her body was seen. And a heartbeat later, one of the police officers who had regained his stance, fell back to the ground again- thanks to the knife penetrating his chest.
"Gosh do they ever learn to just stay down?" Alessia shook her head in disappointment when voicing her thoughts. Releasing another sigh, Alessia took her time observing the boy below her. The ripped sleeves of his blue jacket as well as the dirt up the sleeves told Alessia enough.
Was he homeless?
Whatever he was, he was high as a kite. Alessia could see the familiarity look of red glazed eyes, replacing the white colour that should be there. That and the way he looked, eyes widened, almost in astonishment gave it away. Tears of sweat formed at the top of his forehead, Alessia noticing the scar forming up the side of his face.
"Guess that pretty face couldn't stop you from getting that scar huh?" Alessia teased, Saya giving the girl a disapproved look before insisting the boy sat on the floor to get up.
"Lin will know you were here." Saya commented, walking back over to her motorbike. Alessia followed behind, swiping up her bow, securing it on her back alongside her quiver.
"So?"
"So? Aren't you worried?"
"About Lin?" Saya furrowed her eyebrows as a low laugh erupted from the Alessia who was walking away from both Saya and the boy. "-What will he do? Throw me in detention? Like that will do anything."
Saya watched as Alessia leaned down to dead police officer who bared her dagger in his chest. Without hesitation she pulled it out, mumbles of annoyance as she swiped the blood dripping off it onto her leather jacket.
"Nice to kill with you again Saya, we should do it again sometime!" Alessia shouted, throwing a wink at Saya and the stranger before turning away, leaving them in the parking lot.
The last thing Saya saw as Alessia walked away was the brunette playing with the knife in her hand, occasionally throwing it in the hair before successfully catching it.
"Come on." Saya instructed, bringing her attention onto the boy who was watching Alessia until she turned the corner, disappearing from their eye view.
