Chapter 4: Wanted

Alissa laid in bed with her left hand still chained to the pole which was part of the design on the headboard. She was mumbling random prayers to the God's above, hoping one of them pitied her enough to give her what she wanted. The girl's mouth was dried and cracked at this point, her once plump, hydrated lips becoming crumpled like a piece of paper.

Wyatt walked inside the room, holding an old rag that he used to wipe the excess dust off of the faces of the androids. He went behind Alissa's worn out body, propping her up.

She was too scared and too exhausted to fight his touch off of her, she knew this is who he really was and nothing would ever change him. Alissa continued rapidly mumbling her prayers, the only sound that was echoing off of the walls of the bedroom.

He dusted off of the rag, before wrapping it tightly around Alissa's eyes. Wyatt made sure she couldn't see anything from underneath the rag, tightening it behind for extra security.

Alissa trembled and whimpered as the knot got tighter around her eyes. The bacterial dust already stinging her sensitive eyelids. She swallowed the lump forming inside her throat, needing to get out of the situation she had put herself in by agreeing to be with Wyatt.

The footsteps started to fade away and out of the bedroom, to which Alissa yanked on the handcuff, hoping it would break the chain link off and she could finally make a run for it. She continued to struggle, pulling harder with all her might each time she did so.

"Fuck..." She hissed beneath her breath, feeling the tingling sensation around her wrist. Alissa couldn't even open her eyes to see what the damage had been.

Suddenly, the footsteps began to come closer to her ears, indicating that Wyatt was coming back. A sound of light, soft whimpers were heard from around the door frame.

It didn't take Alissa a second to realize what Wyatt had brought her. She could sense her child being there near her, to which her tears came out - struggling to fall from the blindfold she had on.

"I-Is that him?" Alissa choked out her words, sniffling as she heard Wyatt come closer towards her.

The soft whimpers became a little louder, some noises of the struggle to adjust. The small child moved his head curiously, sensing that the woman nearby him was his mother.

Meanwhile, Alissa was shivering, crying a little as she knew her instincts were right - it was indeed her son. She attempted to just graze the blanket he was wrapped in by reaching an arm out - to which Wyatt pulled him away, reminding her about what he had said.

"He's hungry, so all you're going to do is breastfeed him. I don't think it's a good idea to have a feel of his facial features because that could possibly kill him." Wyatt instructed, holding his son closer to him than to her.

Alissa shook her head, only her mouth being able to show the pain she was feeling.

"W-Wyatt, please. I'll do anything just let me s-"

"Feed him."

Alissa obliged, gulping as she feared any repercussions that would follow if she disobeyed.

Wyatt handed the child carefully over to Alissa - supporting the infant with his own two hands as Alissa only had one to help out. He latched the baby's mouth onto Alissa's nipple, holding his small head up so he could reach it.

A tear of happiness escaped Alissa's slightly infected eye - trying to support the child by her one free hand. She resisted not to snake her hand up to his tiny face, in the fear that she would accidentally poke his eye or hurt him.

After a few minutes, it was finally done as the little infant pulled away once he had enough. Alissa almost held him, until Wyatt took the child away from her - burping him by himself.

Alissa pulled up her top, going back to begging Wyatt to release her.

"I swear on our child's life I won't tell anyone about what I saw, please just let me see him." Alissa spoke quietly, trying to calm herself down for the sake of her child who was probably curiously observing.

"I know you won't say anything."

"Then please let me see my son."

"Be patient, you'll see him when I find someone."

"I'll help."

Wyatt stared at her in confusion and distrust, not believing what she was saying.

"Once I can stand on my own two feet, I'll go back to college. And work, so I'll find someone. Wyatt, I know your muse for these...these, robots or whatever they are - I promise I'll find someone for you if you just let-"

Wyatt interrupted her emotional speech. "Find someone, and I'll let you see him. Just know, that I will find out if it's a setup."

Alissa nodded, hoping he saw her agreement. All she had to do now was change her morals and mindset in over a week. Surely she couldn't bring herself to do such a thing.

Or could she?

Ohh, I guess Alissa will really do anything to see her baby - which is reasonable I guess. Do you guys think she could have gone around this another way? Or was she right in sacrificing somebody else's life to see her own?

Also sorry this chapter was really short I wanted to leave kind of a cliffhanger for then next chapter, what do you guys think of the story so far? Are you enjoying it? Is it different from Follow? (If you haven't read Follow - I suggest you do but it's not necessary)

What did you guys think about this chapter? Do you see/notice Wyatt's changing? Feedback for character development would also be appreciated.

Thank you all for the love and support!
