Chapter 2

Chapter 2: Boyfriend

"Who do you think you are?!" I yelled.

My blood boiled to the guy who pushed me. I glared at him and punched him on his chest. "How dare you to push me, asshole!"

He clenched his jaw and equally glared at me.

"Audrey!" Marga and Rhiane approached me, but I didn't flinch.

"You know, Miss Valderama..." he started. "You just can't bully anyone just because you're popular and high -"

I cut him off. "And what made you think I used my popularity to what? Bully this trash? Excuse me, asshole." I held his collar but he immediately swayed my hand.

"I don't even know why I have to fight with a stupid asshole like you." I faced Rea and smirked. "What a trash," I said before walking away.

"Don't give me that looks. Do you wanna die?" I said to the group of girls who were staring at me like I just did a crime.

"Audrey, ba't mo ba ginawa 'yon?" Marga asked.

"Si Rea naman din kasi ang nauna, e!" pag-singit ni Rhiane.

"Why? May nangyari ba sa room niyo kanina?"

Rhiane and I are in a same section, nahiwalay sa amin si Margaret na nasa kabilang section naman kaya hindi niya alam ang nangyari.

I left the two girls who were talking and went somewhere. My feet brought me to an empty place at the back of our building.

I clenched my jaw when I remembered what just happened earlier.

That asshole wished to have his death early, huh?

Never did someone push me like that in my entire life.

I didn't use those titles to treat someone like that. If you did nothing to me, sure, I won't do anything either. But that trash, likes to push my buttons. I just gave what she deserved.

"Hey. Audrey Valderama, you're here."

I glanced at the guy who sat beside me while smoking a cigarette.

I ignored him and just stared in nowhere.

My name's not that new to them, most of the students knew me, so I did not get confused when someone called me.

Minutes later, the guy handed me a piece of cigarette.

My forehead creased. "What's with you?" I asked, annoyed.

"Chill. I saw what happened earlier, and I was actually shocked." Inilahad niya ulit ang yosi. "Tanggapin mo na, it might calm your system."

I stared at him for a while before I took the cigarette.

I exhaled.

"You seem used to smoke, huh?"

"Not really."

I learned it when I was in club with some strangers.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" maya-maya ay tanong niya.

"Gusto mo mag-apply?" I joked.

I heard him chuckle. "Pwede ba?"

I rolled my eyes. "Hindi."

"Oh! Did this hot chic reject me for a couple of seconds?" he laughed.

I threw the cigarette stub in my front before facing him. "Why are you here, anyway?" I asked and went closer to him.

He chuckled. "Dito ako tumatambay. I just feel relax when I am here," sagot niya.

I arched a brow and started to trace my finger on his jaw. "A second year, aren't you?" I whispered when I saw his I.D lace.

"I am," he whispered too.

"Are you a good kisser?" I asked.

"Subukan natin para malaman mo."

The confidence of this guy. "Sure," I agreed.

And just like that we started to make out. He bit my lowerlip while I was pulling his nape more closer to me.

He stopped. "Rate me, now. One to ten."

I looked up and smirked. "One to ten? You're nine."

He chuckled. "I wasn't that good for you, then. You should probably teach me often."

I snorted. "I'm not a freaking teacher, jerk."

He shrugged. "I'm Jade, anyway."

"I didn't ask," I said.

Tumayo ako.

"Where are you going?"

"Somewhere."

Boys are really boys. For sure, this guy whom I made out with has a girlfriend. I do have so much time to play around. If they want a game, I'll be a good player then.

"Hoy, Audrey! Saan ka na naman ba galing?" bungad ni Rhiane, she was eating a pizza.

"Powder room," I answered.

I saw Marga trying to stifle a grin.

I was at the powder room before I went to my friends, of course, I did clean myself after making out with stranger.

"One to ten, Audrey," si Marga.

I scoffed. "Nine," sagot ko.

Their mouth formed 'O'.

"Sure ka?!" Marga and Rhiane in unison.

"Ba't parang gulat?" taas kilay ko.

"Parang dati hanggang five lang ngayon biglang naging nine?" natatawang ani Marga.

"I don't know, he seemed well-trained by his girlfriend," I smirked.

"What the... may girlfriend?!" gulat na ani Rhiane.

"Based on my opinion," sagot ko.

Rhiane tsked. "Kaya ka inaaway, e!"

"Excuse you. It won't be my fault, it will be on boys."

"Tama!" pagsang-ayon ni Marga. "Hindi naman kasalanan ni Audrey na nahuhumaling iyong mga lalaki sa kaniya! Dapat sa mga lalaking may girlfriend na, kahit sino pa iyan dapat lumayo sa tukso lalo na kung may girlfriend ka at kung mahal mo talaga!"

I winked at Marga. "Sa'n mo nakuha 'yan?"

Natahimik siya.

Naguluhan kaming pareho ni Rhiane.

"My boyfriend cheated on me..." She started crying.

Rhiane comforted her, while I got stunned and started to laugh a bit. "I told you," paalala ko.

I bit my lowerlip and looked away to stop myself from smiling. I don't want anyone to see me smile and laugh, I used to be serious and intimidating.

But darn... Marga just made me want to laugh loud. Ang tangang 'to. Iiyak dahil niloko? It's a big no for me.

"Why were you laughing?!"

"What? Did I laugh?" I rolled my eyes.

"Ang sama mo, Audrey. We should comfort Marga when it comes to this," sabi ni Rhiane, pero natatawa rin habang tinatapik ang balikat ni Marga.

"She's stupid," Rhiane mouthed at me.

"Yeah, Marga ranked one for being stupid."

"Nakakainis kayo! Samahan niyo 'ko mag-bar mamaya!" She's still wiping her tears away.

I shook my head. "Your tears are too much precious that an asshole like your ex can't afford. Huwag ka nang umiyak, you'll just look like shit."

"Oo na! Sarap patayin ng walang hiyang 'yon!" galit na wika niya.

"Ayan kasi, boyfriend pa! Tingnan mo 'ko, sa online lang nakikipagharutan. O 'di kaya gayahin mo si Audrey -"

"Malandi ka! Akala ko pa naman loyal ka rin gaya ko, pero pareho pala kayo ni Audrey!" singhal niya sa 'min ni Rhiane.

"At least we're not stupid," sabay na sambit namin ni Rhiane.

I went to a mall to buy a dress. I used to be like this when going to club after school.

Well, my family made me like this.

I was wearing a black tube dress, I let my jet black hair down.

Some of my family's friends always telling that I mostly got my features to my mom. Tuwing bumibisita sila o may nagaganap ay lagi nila iyong sinasabi. Especially my brown upturned eyes that makes me look more intimidating. It made sense, just like my mom, I have a narrow nose, thin lips, and a perfect jawline.

My sister also got some, pero ako iyong mas kamukha ni Mommy.

"It's party time!"

The crowd went wild and loud because of the music they had. Rhiane and Marga joined the crowd, while I just sat back like what I usually do when I am at a bar.

"Audrey! It's you!"

He looked familiar.

"Yeah?"

"I am Jake, you remember? I asked you last morning if I can ask you out. You probably forgot, but it was okay -"

"Of course, it must be okay. Who makes you think you are that it can't be okay?"

I didn't even say sorry, and he said it was okay? Of course, it must be.

"No, I didn't mean it that way -"

"Go away. I'm pissed," I shooed before drinking my cocktail.

He sighed and didn't say anything when he left.

When I got bored, and couldn't find the two I just leave them a text saying I'll go first because I am bored.

I took a cab on my way home.

"Ma'am, kanina pa po kayo hinahanap ni Sir Peter, lagot na naman po ako nito," Kuya Henry approached me.

I ignored him and went inside when I got to see Dad, sitting on the sofa while massaging his temple.

I was about to continue walking when he called me. "Persian Audrey. Come here," he calmly said.

I swallowed hard and slowly walked toward him. "Yes?"

I love my dad more, dahil kahit papaano ay napapansin niya pa rin ako. He still cares for me, but it wasn't enough. I want more of it, and I know I deserve better.

"You were at the club..." he pointed out, gazing my outfit.

"Yeah."

"There were many reports I received today. First, you disrespected your dean, second, you spilled someone your drink on her head, third, you went to a bar while your driver had no idea."

"So, he should do his job well."

"Don't talk back! Why did you become like this, Audrey?! You are still seventeen yet your doings are for adults! Since when did you learn to party at a club? Drink, smoke, and some stuff. Look at your sister, she does right things -"

I felt my eyes watered. "Yes, Dad! What now? You're going to compare me again with Fiona?! It wasn't my fault why I became like this!" I yelled before turning my back and went upstairs.

"Don't you dare to cry, Audrey. You're not a freaking baby anymore," I whispered to myself.

Kung mayroon mang bagay na nakakasakit. Iyon iyong ikumpara ako. And I hate it, I always get compared to my sister.

"Oh! Good morning, little sister," Fiona sarcastically greeted me when I got to bump with her outside of my room.

"There's no good in seeing your f*cking face, Fiona," I answered.

"Where are you going, Audrey? Won't you join us in breakfast?" my mom said.

"No, I won't."

I just stared at Kuya Henry's worried face before turning my back.

"Good morning, Angeles' hot queen."

"I am not in the mood," ani ko sa mga natatandaan kong babae na nakaaway dati dahil sa mga boyfriend nila.

Nagsanib-puwersa na ata.

"Ops, why? This seems interesting, huh?" the blonde-haired girl said.

I rolled my eyes.

"Hey, b!tch. For you to know -"

"I don't wanna know," I cut off and walked but immediately grabbed by the hand by one of the girls.

"Bullsh!t, what is your f*cking problem?" I held the girl's collar.

"I don't care if your family has a big shares and if you're popular -"

"Who says you should care?" I replied.

I glared at them before walking away. I am not in the mood for a catfight, better save it for next time.

"Audrey!"

I stopped.

"Samahan mo naman ako," sabi ni Kurt.

"Don't you have feet?"

He sighed. "You're not in the mood, I guess. But can you give me this favor, please. As your best friend," he plead.

I rolled my eyes. "You're not my best friend. What do you want?"

"Cafeteria," he answered.

I gritted my teeth. "Ayaw ko, ikaw nalang."

"Sige na, please. Hindi pa ako kumakain."

"You're annoying. Let's go."

"Yes! Thank you, Audrey."

Kurt ordered himself a food while I was waiting for him on our table.

There were some curious looks at some student's eyes while looking at us.

"Look away or die?" I threatened when a girl keep on staring at our table.

"You're way too scary," si Kurt at inilapag sa harap ko ang apple fruit drink at sandwich.

I stared to it. "What are these?"

"Food? You should eat para may kasabay ako."

I rolled my eyes and chose not to argue with him.

"Ang tagal na rin pala simula nang sabay tayong kumain."

"Should we eat together always?"

"Did I say something?"

I didn't answer.

"Are you okay, Audrey?" tanong ni Kurt.

My lips parted, but I immediately acted cool. "Why are you asking?"

"Pati ba pagtatanong bawal na rin?"

"Kumain ka nalang, my class will get to start anytime now."

"Okay."

"Umalis ka na, huwag mo na ako ihatid," sabi ko nang napansing sumusunod siya sa akin.

He stared at me and sighed. "Okay. Be good, Audrey. I'll go first."

I nodded and went inside the classroom.

"Audrey, bakit mo kami iniwan kagabi!" bungad ni Rhiane.

"I texted you."

"Kahit na!"

"Shut your mouth, Rhiane. My head is hurting."

"Hang-over?" usisa niya pa kaya nilingon ko siya sa tabi.

"Shut up or die?"

"Sabi ko nga tatahimik na." Umayos na siya ng upo at nanahimik nalang hanggang sa dumating na ang professor.

"Tara na sa cafeteria, Audrey," aya ni Rhiane.

"Mauna ka na. Susunod ako."

"Sunod ka, ah!"

I felt down today. And I know it was because of my family, on what Dad had said to me last night. It just couldn't erase on my mind.

While I was on my way to cafeteria, I saw my sister, Fiona, walking downstairs from their building.

We are actually studying in the same university, but we're different. She's in second year in senior high school while I am in first year. I am more popular than her. She's actually an introvert and has a lowkey profile.

I remembered what she said before. "Don't talk to me and act like you don't know me when we're in school. Ayaw kong malaman ng lahat na may kapatid akong gaya mo."

It was in high school when she said those. I was dumb before, because I just let her, but I guess it was for good. I don't want to interact with her either.

She looks kind outside, but I know Fiona's a two-faced bitch. She can be both angel and devil.

I was about to just pass by when she called me.

This is unexpected.

"Audrey," she called.

I looked over my shoulder. "Who are you?" pang-aasar ko sa kaniya.

She smiled. "I just wanna say you're a loser," she said.

I put my lips into thin line. "May sayad ka ba? Or did mom let you eat left-over foods?"

"Neither of the two. I am actually good."

Her attention got distracted when a guy approached her, I was about to leave when I happened to remember the guy's face.

"Babe," pagtawag nito.

Fiona smiled at him.

This bitch has a boyfriend?

And her boyfriend is... Jade.

I felt overwhelmed today. I felt lucky.

Jade, my sister's boyfriend. The guy whom I made out with yesterday at the back of our building.

I smirked evilly when a plan popped on my mind.
