17: Tsawlultxa

Toruk landed at the edge of the valley, everyone was shocked. Especially me, how did Jake accomplish this?

The great winged beast bellowed, it's whale size and bright orange color made it clear that it had nothing to fear as it had little to no predators. It's rider, Jake, had gotten off of it's upper back(lower neck) and walked into the splitting crowd.

I clung to Tsu'tey,  since the last time they saw each other, they fought. I looked at Tsu'tey and I saw confusion and fear in his expression.

Neytiri met with Jake as they talked.

Jake looked up to Tsu'tey and I while loosing his smile.

"Tsu'tey, son of Ateyo I stand before you ready to serve the Omaticaya people." He backed up as Jake took a step forward, "You are Olo'eyktan, and you are a great warrior. I can't do this without you." I flinched when Toruk roared.

I looked to Tsu'tey as everyone was waiting for his response.

"Toruk Makto," He placed his left hand on Jake's right shoulder, "I will fly with you." He said in english.

"My friend is dying. Grace is dying." He looked at Mo'at and Tsu'tey moved out of his way. "I beg the help of Eywa." We all prepared, Everyone organized themselves as Mo'at instructed, and she told me what to do as well. I was seated near Saeyla in the front, with Ninat to my right. I was on my knees with my Queue connected to the  roots of the tree. I heard all of everyones voices and thoughts collected into one, Toruk Makto, Olo'eyktan, Loss, and Grace Augustine.

She was carried to the altar-like platform in leaves with her mask on, I want, very much, to save her. I hope she is strong enough.

As night fell, we were all ready.

"Tìng mikyun ayoer, rutxe, ma Nawma Sa'nok." Mo'at pleaded.

"Srung si poeru, ma Eywa." we all chanted. it came to me as a single thought we all shared.

"Pori tireati, munge mì nga," Mo'at continued.

"Srung si poeru, ma Eywa."

"Ulte tìng ayoer nì'eyng hu ngeyä ya." Mo'at said.

"Srung si poeru, ma Eywa."

"Tivìran po ayekip,"

"Srung si poeru, ma Eywa."

"na Na'viyä hapxì!" she finished.

We all began to chant a mantra-like prayer.

"Eo Eywa oe'ia" I lose myself before Eywa, and I certainly did. So lost in this great sea of voices and prayers it was like we were one great voice crying out for Eywa.

It repeated for atleast a few hours, and when it was all finished-

"Lu hasey!" Mo'at shouted. It was finished.

Grace reached to Jake as I crouched at her side.

"I'm with her, she's real!" she exclaimed. Despite all of Jake's pleading and questions, I knew she was gone. With Eywa. The glow from the roots of the tree had quickly disappeared.

I grieved. I cried actually. A lot. I was expected to be strong as I am going to be the next Tsahik in Neytiri's stead. But I just lost a mother. She was nurturing and strong and the only comfort I have, is knowing she's with Eywa. I tensed when anyone tried to touch me. I was furious. She had so much yet to do.

Jake stood up, walked to Tsutey and asked to address The People. To which, he agreed.

"The sky people have sent us a message."

"fpole' sawtutel 'upxaret."

"That they can take whatever they want."

"Ayoeri tsat new,"

"and no one can stop them"

"tsun mivunge."

"Well, we will send them a message."

"Slä awngal 'upxaret fpìye' for."

"You ride out as fast as the wind can carry you."

"Kämakto nìwin, ayngati spivule hufwel."

"You tell the other clans to come."

"Ayolo'ru alahe peng ziva'u."

"You tell them Toruk Makto calls to them."

"For peng syeraw Toruk Makto."

"and you fly now, with me!"

"Tswayon set oehu!"

"My brothers! Sisters!"

"Ma tsmukan, ma tsmuke!"

"And we will show the sky people,"

"Sawtuter wìyìntxu ayoeng,"

"That they cannot take whatever they want!"

"ke tsun fo fìkem sivi."

"And that this,"

"Fìtsenge"

"This is our land!"

"Lu Awngeyä!" The crowd of Na'vi people cheered at the notion of avenging their home land and being rid of the Sky People.

Toruk cried a loud cheer and flew.

Tsu'tey and I joined them in our excitement. However we had to stay and provide for the rest of the Omaticaya. We sent some on Pa'li to the Olangi clan on the plains and those with Ikrans to the Tayrangi and Kekunan. We tried to seek help from the Tawkami, but they were very weak. The Tipani had moved it's clan so we do not know their were abouts. The anurai were hesitant to join but we gained another ally.

"Tsu'tey, can we talk?"

"Of course Yawne. What about?"

"The upcoming battle, I want to fight."

"No, absolutely not." he turned away. I grabbed his arm.

"Why not! I am capable and we need all the help we can get."

"We are capable and I don't want to loose you!" he breathed.

"You won't."

"You cannot promise me that." he huffed

"I'm not, but I can't sit here and do nothing." I hissed. He fell silent and his head tilted down to meet mine.

"I cannot stop you, but I am begging you to be careful. Toruk Makto-"

"You can still call him Jake."

He rolled his eyes, "Gave us these communicating devices, and I expect you to tell me when you're in trouble." He placed one into my hand, "I love you, and I want you to stay close to me during the battle."

"But I am helping arrange the battle on the forest floor."

"You will help but you will be with me." He demanded. I sighed and blinked in agreeance. I held him as he looked out at his people, with all the new clans pouring in, it is hard to keep everyone together. They all seem to have their own rivalry. For example, The Anurai do not like us all that much because an old Olo'eyktan killed a Thanator on their territory, and they probably made fun of our weaving. But it looks like everyone is putting their past discrepancies behind them to face this threat.
