(Haider's manner suddenly changes. The smile on his face fades away. Meera didn't understand what to comprehend out of it.)

Haider- Aapko kaise pata? (He asks in a serious tone)

Haider- Ohh.

Meera- Toh bataiye... You know, you can tell me anything right?

Haider- Meera aap abhi rest kijiye. (he says cupping her face) Hum kal baat karenge.

(Haider leaves)

(Meera had not slept the whole night.)

(Meera ke dil aur dimaag mein ek jung chedi thi. Dimaag keh raha tha ki kuch toh galat hein aur dil...Dil, aakh band kar ke Haider par bharosa karna chahta tha. Iss kashmakash se bachne ke liye aur iss uljhan ko khatam karne ke liye Meera ne ek faisla kiya.)

Meera- (on call) Main aapse milna chahti hu.

Haider - Kisse? (Haider enters. Meera cuts the call.)

Meera- Ek client ke saath shaam ko meeting hein... Bas wohi...

(She says, trying to cover up)

Haider-Accha. Toh ab neeche chale? Ammi aapko bula rahi hein.

Meera-Haan chaliye. (She nods with a smile.)

Ruqsar- Aao Meera, baitho. Aur tu, tu jaake hamare liye cold coffee bana ke le aa. Mujhe meri beti se batein karni hein.

Haider- Okay my loves. (he bows and leaves)

(Meera smiles. Though a lot of things were troubling in her mind, she knew that this guy in front of her, was her life.)

(Meera and Ruqsar continue talking. Haider returns with the cold coffee. As Haider enters, they stop.)

(Ruqsar smiles at Meera)

Ruqsar-(taking the cold coffee) Kuch nahi...Hamara secret hein. Accha ab tum dono baatein karo... Mujhe apni ek dost se milne jana hein.

(She exchanges smiles with Meera and leaves. Haider hands her the mug)

Haider- Aapko shak tha ki aap ammi ko pasand aayengi ya nahi aur yahaan mujhe shak hein ki ammi aapko mujh se bhi zyada pasand karti hein.

(Meera giggles)

Meera- Haider! The coffee is lovely!! Aesa kya special daala hein ismein aapne??

Haider- Bohot hi special ingredients hein... batau?

Meera- Ji bikul!

(Haider leans closer to her.)

Haider- Dher saara Prem. (He says hugging her)

Meera- Accha ji. (she chuckles)

Meera- Waise Haider, mujhe aapse kuch bohot zaruri baat karni hein. (she straightens up seriously.)

Haider- Haan Meera, boliye na. (He says noticing the change in her tone)

Meera- Dekhiye Haider... mujhe sach mein nahi pata ki main aapko ye sab kaise batau... (She says turning away)

Haider- Aesa bhi kya hogaya Meera? (he says, turning her towards him.)

(He was worried. He had no idea where this was coming from or what she was referring to.)

Meera- Woh Haider, I am sorry par...

Haider- Par..?

Meera- Maine aapko bina kapdon ke dekh liya!

Haider- What!!?

(Meera shows him a childhood picture of him on her phone and starts laughing. He realizes that Ruqsar and Meera were looking at his childhood pictures all this while.)

Haider- Toh aap aur Ammi ye kar rahi thiii!

Meera- Hehe... Aapki shakal... Haider! (she continues laughing)

Haider- Abhi delete kijiye iskoo! Meeraa!!

Meera- Nahi karungi! (she laughs, sticking her tongue out, and tries running away).

Haider- Meerraaaa!! (he follows her) Abhi kariyee!!

(She runs around the whole house and he runs behind her. Both of them giggling and laughing. She finally enters her room and he follows. She stands on the bed to avoid him from taking away the phone from her hand. Haider tries taking it from her but she tiptoes her way. He finally jumps on the bed, trying to reach it.

And then, guess what happens! XD.

The bed breaks and both of them fall. They look at each other, raising their
eyebrows at the mess, and then break into laughter. He looks at Meera and caresses her hair.)

Haider- Aap pagal hein Meera. (He laughs)

Meera- Abb jaisi bhi hu...aapki hi hu. Soch li jiye, abhi waqt hein. Warna, poori zindagi issi pagal ke saath bitani padegi! (She chuckles)

Haider- Abb kya kare, iss pagal ne dil ko jo chura liya hein! Abb toh humein umr kaid bhi manzur hein. (He chuckles and kisses her forehead) .

Meera-Accha abb chaliye. Main kisi ko kehkar ye bed ka kuch karti hu...(She smiles and leaves)

(Veer and Bani enter. They see the house help carrying out a broken bed.)

Bani- Veer, ye kya ho raha hein?

Veer- I don't know sweetheart.

Bani - Ramu kaka, ye kisne karwaane ko kaha?

Ramu kaka- Woh beta, Meera beti ke room ka bed tut gaya, toh unhone badalne ko kaha hai.

Veer/Bani (in unison) - Hein!?

Bani- Accha thike. Aap jaiye Ramu kaka.

(They look at each other and start laughing. Haider and Meera enter.)

Haider- Kya baat hein? Bohot has rahe ho tum dono.

Meera- Haan haan. Humein bhi batao.
Bani- Woh, humne sunna ki aaj kisi ke room ka bed tut gaya.

Veer- Aese kya kar rahe the tum dono? Bichaare bed ko hi tod diya.

(He says controlling his laughter.)

(Meera and Haider look at each other and Haider suddenly blurts out something random.)

Haider- Exercise!!

(Bani and Veer cover their mouths with their hands to control their laughter. On the other hand, Meera gives Haider a "seriously" look)

Bani- Bed ke upar!?

Veer- Naya style hoga sweetheart! You don't know aaj ke trends. Ye dono toh up to date rehte hai.

(Meera facepalms herself)

Bani- Lagta hein kafi vigorous workout tha. Itna ki bed tak tut gaya. (She laughs)

Meera-Bani!!

Veer- Humein bhi kabhi try karna chahiye sweetheart... Kyun?

(He looks at her innocently.)

Bani- Tum!?

Veer- I mean exercise sweetheart! (He winks at her) Kabhi socha nahi tha ki mujhe Haider se tips mangne padenge!

Haider - Veerr! (Haider and Meera's face turns red.)

(he kisses Meera's cheek and smiles.)

(Veer and Bani cover their eyes.)

Bani-Bachpan se! (she gives a fake smile)

Bani- Yes! Aur jaake apne proposal ki tayari karo. Humari Meera impress ho jaani chahiye.

(Haider blushes)

(Veer and Bani go up to the terrace to make all the arrangements for Haira.

Veer- (on call) Yes, humein ek ghante mein sara saman chahiye. Sure! Thank you so much!

(Veer walks Bani admiring the view from the terrace. He hugs her from behind.)

Veer- Sweetheart! Kya dekh rahi ho?

Bani- Kuch nahi bas yunhi...Dekh rahi thi ki waqt kitni jaldi beet jata hein.. Aesa lagta hein maanlo kal hi toh mile the hum...Yaad hein humari peheli fight?

(She chuckles)

Veer- Kaise bhul sakta hu maim meri Ms. jhumka ko!

Bani - Ms jhumka??

Veer-(laughs) Haan! Ek sec... (he pulls out the jhumka from his wallet)

Bani- Ye tumhare pass tha!?

Veer - Party wali raat, jab tumne meri date crash ki thi? (He laughs)

Bani-Haan...Par mujhe laga ki ye kho gaya tha. Tum jaante nahi mein kabse isse dhoond rahi thi!!

(She takes it from his hand)

Veer- Shayad isse hi humein pass lana tha.

(Bani smiles.)

Bani- Veer, who was your first love? (She asks him with her doted eyes)

Veer- Jaise dad ne party ke din kaha tha...Mera poora bachpan maa ke saath hi guzra tha. Woh meri choti si choti zaruraton ka khayal rakha karti thi. Bani-Kyunki woh ab yahaan rehti hein.

(She says pointing towards his heart)

Veer (smiles)- Tum bhi kuch batao na mummy ke baare mein.

Bani-Mummy ke baare mein. (she smiles) Well, I was always a wild child.

Veer- I know !bilkul jungli billi. (He teases her and they laugh)

Bani- Mummy se isiliye daant toh maine bhi bohot khaayi hein (she laughs) Lekin main tab bhi jaanti thi aur abhi janti hu ki woh bhale mujhe kitna bhi daanti ho, par mujhse bohot pyaar karti thi, hein, aur humesha karti rahegi. Hum sab ye nahi samjhte ki daant ta wahi hei jisse hamari parwah ho, aur maa baap ki daant mein toh humesha pyaar chupa hota hein.

(Veer smiles and holds her hand.)

Bani-Accha abb apne dusre pyaar ke barein mein batao? (She says trying to lighten the mood)

Veer-(gives a small laugh) Mera dusra pyaar mujhse khud hi pooch raha hein ki mera pyaar kon tha.

Bani- Jhutte! Mujhe pata hein tumhari dating history ke baare mein.

Veer- Tum jealous ho...mujhe abhi bhi yaad hein sangeet ki anniversary wala din.

(She suddenly remembers how mean she was to him that day and feels embarrassed.)

Bani- Shayad peheli thi... par jaise hamara rishta badha hein, maine tumhe poori tarah jaana hein. Abb mere dil mei aesa kuch nahi hai. Tum mere ho aur mere liye ye kaafi hein. Tumhe apne se dur main kabhi nahi jaane dungi...

Veer- Aur dur jaane laga toh?

Bani-Apni jaan ko koyi khudse dur jaane de sakta hein kya bhala?

(Veer smiles)

Veer- Bani, mein relationships mein tha, par woh pyaar nahi tha. I know I am very famous as the "CEO ka bigda hua playboy beta" but trust me, maine kabhi apni koi limit cross nahi ki. I never disrespected anyone.

Bani -I trust you Veer. Tumhe ye sab justification dene ki zarurat nahi hein.

(She smiles)

(Haider hears their conversation and clenches his fists. He approaches them.)

Haider- Agar aap dono kuch aacha nahi bol sakte toh kam se kam bura bhi mat boliye. Aur aap dono hote kon hei dusron ki zindagiyon ko judge karne wale? Aap yahan kam karte hein, aapka ghar chalta hei yahaan ki wajah se! Aur aap issi ghar ki beti ki bezati kar rahe hein.

(Both of them lower their gaze.)

Meera ameer zarur hein par unka dil usse bhi zyaada ameer hein. Woh logon ki haisiyat nahi, unka dil dekhti hein. Humme khud ki zindagiyon par dhyaan dena chahiye, par uske bajaaye hum dusro ko judge karne nikal jate hein. Kya aapko pata hein unka puraana rishta kyun tuta? Man and lady: Sorry sir. (They say in unison in leave)

Veer and Bani were done with the preparations. Bani was standing on top of a chair, fixing the string lights. She tries tiptoeing to fix it further but she loses her balance and falls. Veer who was lighting the candles just next to her instantly moves towards her holds her.

(Veer holds her and Bani closes her eyes.)

Veer- Serial...girne nahi wali...koi keh raha tha shayad kal...

Bani- Haan toh woh meri galati thodi na thi...

Veer- Haan sweetheart. Sari galati chair ki thi.

(Bani hits him lightly.)

(That's when they hear footsteps. Veer puts her down.)

(Haider enters.)

Haider- Hey guys! Wow! This is beautiful!

Bani- You are most welcome!

Veer- Kya baat hein bhai! Kya lag raha hein! Meri watch peheni ki nahi? Dahanu jaate waqt tere liye kaafi lucky thi woh.

(he gives him a teasing smile)

Haider- Thank you so much, guys! (he hugs them both)

Haider- Veer, Meera ko apni dil ki baat kehne se pehele, main usse milne ja raha hu. Usse bataye bina main itna bada kadam kaise le sakta hoon.

Veer- Ja Bhai! (he smiles and nods, understanding who Haider was talking about.)

(Meera enters the cafe where Asad had asked to meet her. She spots Asad sitting on a table in the corner.)

(Asad was dressed in an all-black suit.)

Meera approaches the table. Asad sees her and gets up to pull the chair for her. Meera sits, trying to avoid eye contact with him.)

Asad-Aap kaisi hein?

Meera-I am alright...Aap? Aur ghar par sab thik? Ms tamatar kaisi hein?

Asad- Sab thik hein...Nazma aapko kaafi miss karti hein aur...Main bhi. (He says with a sad smile.)

(Meera is at a loss for words)

Asad-Aap yahaan aai hein matlab aapko sach pata hein.

Meera - Main yahan sach pata karne aai hu Asad.Pura sach.

Asad- 6 saal pehele aapne mujhse ek kasam li thi ki main kabhi aapko apni shakal nahi dikhaunga... (Meera averts her gaze) Aapko khush dekhkar main jee leta Meera, jee leta agar main janta ki jise aapne chunna hein woh aapse beshumaar mohabbat karta hein... par Haider woh nahi hein Meera, woh aapke liye galat hein...

Meera- Asad...Main bas sach jan na chahti hu. Aage sahi galat kya hein uska faisla main khud karna chahungi.

Asad- Toh phir suniye Meera...

FLASHBACK

The day Asad was going to be announced the next CEO, a party was organized. Asad was desperately waiting for Meera to reach and be there by his side at that moment. Meera was also going to talk to her parents about them. He was wondering why she was late. The party had started the announcements had been made.Meera was late.

He was continuously gazing at the entrance. That's when somebody pats his shoulder. He turns and sees Nivedita there.

Asad (gives a small laugh) - Thank you Nivedita. (He still keeps glancing at the door)

Nivedita-Kisika intezar kar rahe hein?

Asad- Haan...Woh, Meera ka.

Nivedita - I see...

Waiter- Sir, madam?

(Nivedita takes the drink while Asad denies it.)

Nivedita- Aree Asad le lijiye na, aap hi ki party hein aur aap hi yun khade hein.

Asad- It's alright Nivedita. I'm good.

Nivedita- Please Asad, lijiye na.

(Asad succumbs to Nivedita's request. She hands him the other glass. The waiter nods at Nivedita. She eyes him to leave.)

Asad- Janta hu abhi bhi shayad aapko mujh pe poora bharosa na ho...Par abb mai aapko jinse mil waunga...Unki baaten sunne ke baad aapko koi shak nahi rahega.

As he finishes, someone walks in behind them. Meera was shocked to see her there, at that point in time. It was... Shagun (Haider's cousin sister)

Shagun- Mamu (Haider's father) ke maut ke baad Haider pure ghar ko sambhal raha tha,Firdous bhi uski madad karna chahti thi,isiliye usne apni friend Niveditha se help mangi aur uske naam se khan industries mein kaam karne lagi. Usne mujhe bataya tha ki woh wahaan Asad se mili aur usse unse pyaar hogaya par woh kabhi kuch aesa kar baithegi ye maine socha bhi nahi tha...

(Firdous was helping Shagun getting ready but there was no excitement on her face, she seemed quite distant from the rest. )

Shagun-Meri baat maan Firdous. Iske baare mein aaj ke baad kabhi, koi zikr mat karna. Kisi se bhi nahi.

*FLASHBACK ENDS*

Shagun - Main tumhari gunhegaar hu Meera. Firdous ne jo kiya woh galat tha...par sach chupana woh meri galati thi...Mujhe maaf kardo...meri wajah se abb Firdous hamare beech mein nahi hai...

Meera- Matlab...?

Shagun- Mere nikaah ke baad, Firdous pata nahi kahan chali gayi, shayad woh sabse dur chali jaana chahti thi. Bohot samay ho gaya tha par kuch pata nahi chala... phir ek din humein khabar aayi ki... (she chokes) Firdous ki accident mein maut ho gayi hein.

(She shuts her eyes, tears dropping from her eyes.)

(Meera's face was devoid of any expression.)

Shagun-Par Haider iss sab ke baare mein kuch nahi jaanta hein Meera. (She says, holding Meera's hand) Woh tumse waakai bohot pyaar karta hein...Maine uski aakhon mein tumhaare liye pyaar dekha hein.

(That's when Asad gets a notification on his phone.)

Asad- Aapke hisaab se Haider kuch nahi janta Shagunji... kyun?

Shagun-Bilkul.

Asad- Toh phir ye kya hein?

Asad shows a video to Meera and Shagun.

*Video plays*

Haider is shown kneeling in front of a grave.

Haider- Jiski wajah se teri ye halat huyi hein Firdous... Mein usse kabhi maaf nahi karunga... usse bhi ussi dard, unhi tanhaiyon se guzarna hoga, jisse tu guzari aur jisse hum aaj bhi guzar rahe hein... Aaj bhi...(his voice breaks)

Asad- Aapke hisaab se Haider iss baare mein kuch nahi janta, toh ye kiski baat kar raha hein?

Meera- Asad ye..

Asad- I am sorry Meera par mere pass koi option nahi tha.. Ye sab pata karne ke liye mujhe ek private investigator ko hire karna pada. .. Toh bataiye shagun ji.. Haider ye kaise janta hein?

(Shagun didn't know what to say, she wasn't sure how Haider had gotten to know about all this. Meera was looking at Shagun to clarify all this, but Shagun's silence was enough to answer her.)

Asad- Meera, Haider aapse shayad bas apni behen ka badla lena chahta hein...ya shayad mujhse. Bas main itna jaanta hu ki kuch galat hein.

Meera- Mujhe jana hein...

Asad- Par Meera...

(Meera doesn't exhibit any emotions. She was pale. Getting to know about all this had made her loose her voice. Her chest felt heavy. She sees Haider's message on her phone. )

The message -

"Aapke liye ek surprise hein, terrace pe miliyega."

In the evening,

Haider was ready. The terrace was decorated. There was a cute tent standing there, lit up with fairy lights. Inside, there were tiny tables and pillows. In the back were all the photos that they both had clicked on their Dahanu trip, the trip where they had first realized how much they both meant to each other.

Haider was eagerly waiting for Meera. He was nervous and excited. That's when Meera enters and looks around the terrace. As Meera keeps looking around, Haider walks behind her. Meera turns as he starts speaking.

Haider -

Kayi chaand tarashe tab paya,
Ye nayaab heera hein...
Woh khusboo hein, jaadu hein, chandan hein
Woh meri MEERA hein.

(He kneels down and pulls out a ring, while Meera keeps looking at him.)

Aur iss Meera ko main apna banana chahta hu...

Meera Kapoor, will you marry me?
