Prologue

A poster hung on a tree as a hummingbird flew past it, as the poster had a picture of a hooded figure with a messed up nose. 

‘…..This is the story of how I died.’ A male voice said out loud, very serious before his voice became slightly playful’ Don't worry, this is actually a very fun story. And the truth is, it isn't even mine. This is the story of a girl named Stormy. And it starts with the sun.’ the male voice said

‘Now, once upon a time, a single drop of sunlight fell from the heavens.’

A drop of sunlight fell from the sky as it landed on a cliff, as it grew immediately as even though there was no sunlight, due to it being from the sun, it grew from the ground without any water. 

‘ And from this small drop of sun, grew a magic, golden, flower.The flower had yellow petals with a purple on the petals, in the shape of the sun, It had the ability to heal the sick, and injured.’

An old lady holding a lantern as she saw the flower, her murky green eyes slightly widening as she approached the flower, reaching for it. 

‘ Oh, you see that old woman, over there? You might want to remember her. She's kind of important. Anyways, centuries passed and a hop skip and a boat ride away there grew a kingdom. The kingdom was ruled by a beloved King and Queen. The King’s name was Terra, while the Queen’s name was Aqua. Kinda funny, aint it? How there names mean water and dirt, and how there’s land that’s basically a island, and there’s water surrounding them-’ 

‘ Stick to the story…’

‘ Ok, yeah I know, I’m going on, I’m continuing with the tale.’

On the wall, there was a portrait of a woman with blue hair and sapphire blue eyes smiled as she was next to the king, who had brown hair and cobalt eyes, as he smiled a little at her. 

‘ Well, you see, the Queen, Aqua, well she was about to have a baby, and she got sick, really, sick.’

Aqua layed in bed, coughing up blood into a cloth napkin as Terra looked at her worriedly, holding her hand as doctors and nurses looked at the very pregnant queen, who was very pale. 

‘She was running out of time. And that's when people usually start to look for a miracle. Or in this case, a magic golden flower’ the male voice said, as people searched for the golden flower, to try and help the queen. 

The old woman from before approached a bush as she lifted it up, as the bush was fake, and underneath the fake bush, the golden flower shining brightly as she smiled at it reaching out for it

‘ Ahhh, I told you she'd be important. You see instead of sharing the Sun's gift, this woman, Larxene, hoarded its healing power and used it to keep herself young for hundreds of years. And all she had to do was sing a special song.’

‘Flower gleam and glow, let your power shine 

Make the clock reverse... bring back what once was mine…

 what once was mine..’ the old woman’s appearance  and voice changed to a young woman with short blond hair and bright cyan eyes as her cloak kept her well hidden 

‘ All right, you get the jist. She sings, she turns young. Creepy, right?’ 

Larxene sighed in relief as she was back to being young as she suddenly heard noise from a distance, as she turned around to see where they were as she turned back to the flower and put the fake bush over it again, as she started to run off, but her lantern hit the fake bush, making it fall down, Larxene didn’t notice as she ran off, trying to not get caught  as the guards looked around the area as a blond haired guard saw the flower, “  We found it!”

They dug the flower out, putting it into a bag as Larxene looked back and saw what was happening, making her scowl as she disappeared into the darkness. 

The guards took the flower back to the castle as they took the flower off of the stem, putting the flower into a bowl that had water in it, as the flower spread its healing powers into the water as Terra brought the water to Aqua, helping her drink it 

'The magic of the golden flower, healed the queen. After the queen was healed, she had a healthy baby girl, a princess and was born.’

A baby girl was in her crib, looking up with big curious cobalt eyes, looking up at the mobile that had stars and moons on them, as Terra and Aqua smiled as Aqua picked up the giggling baby girl, as the baby girl gurgled, as her foot was in her mouth as Aqua leaned her forehead on her’s, laughing a little, as Terra laughed a little, putting a crown on her head as it landed on her head slanted as Aqua and Terra laughed. 

‘The Princess had beautiful golden hair. I'll give you a hint, That's Stormy. To celebrate her birth, the King and Queen launched a flying lantern into the sky.’

Aqua held Stormy in the crook of her left arm as she held the lantern, with her right arm, as Terra held a candle to the lantern as they both lifted the lantern to the sky as Stormy looked at the lantern with big curious eyes as she reached out for it as people in the courtyard watched with fond smiles on there face as it rose into the sky. 

‘ For that one moment, everything was perfect….And then that moment ended’ 

In the middle of the night, in Aqua and Terra’ room, there window to the balcony creaked open, as a very old Larxene snuck over to Stormy’s crib, as she reached over, as she started to sing, Stormy’s blond hair started to glow brightly as Larxene’s old hand started to go back to being young. “ ♪Flower, gleam and glow, let your powers shine….” she grabbed a lock of hair as she held some scissors as she went to go cut a lock of hair off,”make the clock re----♪’ Larxene gasped when she cut her hair, Stormy’s once golden lock turned brown and fell onto the mattress, powerless, as Larxene started to age back into a old lady as a lock of brown hair showed on Stormy’s head of blond hair. 

Aqua and Terra heard Stormy crying as they opened their eyes to see what was was wrong with there daughter as they saw a figure move in the dark, making them both sit up as they saw Larxene in her old age holding Stormy as she cried, as she was on the balcony ledge, looking back, to glare at them as she jumped off, disappearing into the night. 

‘Larxene broke into the castle and stole the child. Just like that... gone. The Kingdom searched and searched, but they could not find the Princess….For deep within the forest, in a hidden tower, Larxene raised the child as her own.’ 

As Larxene brushed Stormy's very long blond hair, as Stormy sang, the very tune Larxene taught her as her hair glowed, “ ♪...save what was lost, bring back what once was mine, what once was mine.♪” Larxene was finally back to her young self as she took a sigh of relief, as she kept brushing Stormy’ hair.

‘ Larxene had found her new magic flower. But this time she was determined to keep it hidden.’

Stormy looked over at Larxene, as she asked her, “ Why can’t I go outside?” she asked her as Larxene told her, “ The outside world is a dangerous place. Filled with horrible, selfish people. You must stay here, where you're safe. Do you understand, flower?” she asked her, as Stormy looked down, nodding, “ Yes mama…”

Later on that night, Stormy snuck out of her room, tip toeing on the stairs, passing Larxene’s room as Larxene slept, as she quickly but quietly passed her room, her very long hair hitting the ground as she went to her window and opened it, looking up as she saw glowing brightly in the sky, as she looked up, with a bright smile on her face, as she leaned against her arms. 

‘ But the walls of that tower could not hide everything. Each year on her birthday, the King and Queen released thousands of lanterns into the sky in hope that one day, their lost Princess would return.'
