Chapter 75 -
In The Dark Of The Night

Two vials filled with chemicals were tossed high in the air before shattering against a home and exploding.

It caused a huge amount of damage and the loud boom rung through the quiet night.

Royal Guards came flooding to the seen and all held up their weapons. “DON'T MOVE! Turn around SLOWLY with your hands up!”

The flames flickered harshly which caused the silhouette of the person to be dark. They don't turn.

“Don't make us ask again!”

Slowly, they held up their hands and turned around. The guards who held lanterns made more light to see who caused such dangerous damage.

Their eyes all glare, “WE'VE FOUND HIM!”

The lanterns illuminated a lime glow onto their face as their head moves up.

“Don't you think about running, Varian!”

Varian grins evilly, “And where would I go exactly?”

They cuffs his hands behind his back and drag him toward the castle.

The guards throw Varian onto the cell bed and walk out after securing the door.

Andrew woke up, but laid there while secretly watching the scene in front of him. He grew confused at the boy who was back in his cell.

Varian's hands fazed through the cuffs and he walks up to the cell door.

Andrew's eyes widen in shock when Varian just stepped through the bars and he casually walked to a neighboring cell in the block.

“LADY Caine.”

Lady Caine grumbles angrily, “What do you want kid?”

Varian smirks and leans against the bars, “Ah, feisty.” He runs a gloved finger down a bar, “I have a proposition for you, Darling.”

Lady Caine stomps up to the door and glares, pointing, “Don't call me darling you brat!”

He chuckles darkly, “Why not? You're quite the ravishing redhead who needs to be respected.”

“I'm not doing anything for you, besides you're friends with that King's Pet.”

“I know where your father is being locked up, Sweetheart.” Varian turns his back to her but sighs sadly, “He's locked up in this very castle, but if you don't want him free then I guess I'll just leave.”

Lady Caine froze and desperately reaches out, “Wait!”

“Perfect.” Varian silently purred and looks at her, “It's a simple job. Nothing too difficult.”

“Fine.”

The Royals Guards that were on duty fall to the floor and seem to be having nightmares. Lady Caine slightly regretted going without the boy after witnessing what he did with a touch to their head.

“Where is my father at exactly?”

Varian leads her to the Royal vault and doesn't answer. He keeps an expressionless facade and puts down the two more guards.

The two go into the room before going down a ladder and they now walk in the underground passageways.

Lady Caine started feeling restless until they reached a fairly big room with some type of mechanism.

“What's that?”

Varian rolls his eyes and points to five stone murals above them, “He's behind one of those murals. Break them.”

Lady Caine was puzzled by this, “How am I supposed to that?”

“You humans ask too many questions. Figure it out yourself.” Varian sneers and waits.

The woman growls in irritation and glancing around, finding a loose metal pole from the gear of the mechanism. She attached it to her belt and beings to climb up on the weird machine and jumps onto the wooden ledges on the wall.

Varian watches as he his eyes start to glow green and smiles darkly. His form melts and a black shadow stood there now.

“Brothers….Sisters…..it's time.”

With each hit with the ends of the pole had left a big crack through each mural and slowly a green glow began to get brighter.

A magenta window began to swirl open as the middle wavered to show what is going on from the other side of the worldly prison.

The giant figure lurked in front of it and a black shadow looked to the window, nodding in respect to its Master.

Zhan Tiri now comes into the dim light.

"In the dark of the night I was eternally waiting." He inhuman hand clenches in front of him. "And the preparations that I had was as bad as can be --" He turned away, "It scared them out of their wits --"

An icy blue mist comes up from his hands to form a crowd of people, "Their corpses falling to bits!" He clenches his fists as the imagine disintegrates.

Zhan Tiri narrows his eyes, "Then I opened my eyes and the preparations had failed!!" He sharply turns back to the window.

"I was once the most mystical man in all Corona. When the royals betrayed me they made a mistake!" He slams his fists on the window, "My curse made each of them pay. But my little prize got away!" An image magically appears of Demanitus holding something.

Zhan Tiri waves a hand at the window to change to a different perception, "Little (_____), beware, Zhan Tiri's awake!"

The five murals burst as an individual engery fly around the room, freaking out Lady Caine,"In the dark of the night evil will find her!"

An image of you hugging Rudiger shows in the window, "In the dark of the night just before dawn! Aah..."

Zhan Tiri changes it to show Corona, "Revenge will be sweet! When the curse is complete! In the dark of the night!"

He swipes his hand to cut up the image, "They'll be gone!"

A red colored spirit flies out of the mural straight at Lady Caine and disappears in the red head as she stumbles back.

Zhan Tiri holds out his arms as powers swirl around him, "I can feel that my powers are slowly returning!" He inspects it closely.

"Prepare my plans and wait for my chance to be free!"

"As the Pieces fall into place! I'll see them crawl into place!" The image shows you and Varian finally catching up with Rapunzel's group. "Do Svidaniya, Corona, Your Grace! Farewell..." He narrows his eyes at you guys.

"In the dark of the night terror will strike them!"

"Terror's the least I can do!" He changes the image.

"In the dark of the night evil will brew.

Ooh!"

A bit of green power comes from Zhan Tiri's hand has it circled around the window, "Soon they will feel that their nightmares are real."

"In the dark of the night!"

He zooms on the small campsite as you all get settled for the night, "They'll be through!"

"In the dark of the night Evil will find her! Find her! Ooh! In the dark of the night terror comes true. Doom her!"

"My Dear here's a sign! It's the end of the line!" Zhan Tiri goes back to see his high power deciples all ready for their next command.

"In the dark of the night...In the dark of the night...In the dark of the night..."

The Evil Warlock raises his arms, "Come my minions, Rise for your master, Let your evil shine!"

Four Evil Spirits of different shapes fly right out of the top of the mountain.

"Find her now, Yes, fly ever faster!" Zhan Tiri smirks evilly.

"In the dark of the night...In the dark of the night...In the dark of the night....." They all split off to different locations.

"She'll be mine!" The window now closes on Zhan Tiri.

The shadow now turns to Lady Caine, "How is your vessel?"

Lady Caine's face examines herself then looks in disgust, "Revolting. It needs fixing up." Her eyes slightly glow a red color before grinning mischievously, "Though I love the envy that radiates from her."

"Humans are quite gullible. Now go."

She rolls her eyes and zips away into the night.

The Shadow turns to the window that opens and bows at Zhan Tiri.

"They'll fail drastically. Continue with your plans."

The Shadow bows and melts into the shadows and continues to observe in the background.

Andrew had seen the whole thing play out. He had picked the lock and followed the two down in the tunnels.

He wanted to go back and pretend he didn't see anything, but if things evil as this are coming after you all without you guys knowing.

Then Andrew would try to warn you and Varian and help if he can.

He turns around to look at the tunnel openings and he groans, "Now to find a way out of here."
