Passing the village and entering the forest, Maximus was running as fast as he could to find Rapunzel. Everyone finally made it to the tower. Maximus stopped as Eugene and (Y/n) hopped off and ran towards the tower.

"Rapunzel?" (Y/n) calls out. "Rapunzel, let down your hair!" Eugene shouts.They were about to climb up, but stopped when they heard the window opening. Rapunzel's long hair was tossed out. Eugene and (Y/n) quickly used the hair to climb to the entrance of the tower. Eugene enters inside and helps (Y/n) inside. "Rapunzel, we'd thought we'd never see you again." Eugene sighed in relief.

Eugene and (Y/n)'s eyes widen when they saw Rapunzel gagged and chained up. She tries to warn them, but it was too late. From behind, Gothel stabs Eugene in the stomach. (Y/n) gasped when she saw her friend hurt. She was about to grab her staff, but Gothel beats her to it. Gothel pulls the staff away from (Y/n) and stabs her in the chest, close to her heart. Eugene and (Y/n) collapsed and groans in pain as they tried to hold their wounds. Rapunzel muffles a scream when she saw that they were in pain.

"Now look what you've done, Rapunzel. Oh, don't worry dear. Our secret will die with them." Gothel walks towards Rapunzel. "And as for us... We are going where no one will ever find you again." Gothel tried to pull Rapunzel to the exit with her, but Rapunzel fought back. Pascal and Brielle tried to help by tugging on Gothel's dress, but kicks them away. "Rapunzel, really! Enough already! Stop fighting me!"

"No!" Rapunzel was able to remove the cloth from her mouth. "I won't stop.!For every minute of the rest of my life, I will fight! I will never stop trying to get away from you!" Rapunzel began to reason with Gothel. "But, if you let me save them, I will go with you."

Flynn moans in pain. "No! No, Rapunzel."

"Please don't do it." (Y/n) gasped in pain.

"I'll never run. I'll never try to escape. Just let me heal them and you and I will be together., forever, just like you want. Everything will be the way it was. I promise. Just like you want. Just let me heal them." Rapunzel pleads.

Gothel thought for a second and agrees with Rapunzel. She chains up Eugene and (Y/n). "In case you both get any ideas about following us."Rapunzel runs towards them. "(Y/n)! Eugene!" She examines their wounds and saw the blood coming out. "Oh, I'm so sorry. Everything is going to okay, though." She puts her hair on their wounds. "Rapunzel, please don't." (Y/n) tries to push her hair away. "I promise. You both have to trust me." Rapunzel comforts. "No.. we can't let you do this." Eugene coughs. "And I can't let you two die." Rapunzel frowns. "But if you do this. Then you...will die." (Y/n) cries. Rapunzel smiles softly and grabs (Y/n)'s hand to give it a comforting squeeze. "Hey. It's gonna be all right."

Before Rapunzel could sing, Eugene stopped her. "Rapunzel, wait..." Thinking he was going to kiss her, Rapunzel leans down. Without her noticing, (Y/n) passes Eugene a piece of broken glass and he cuts Rapunzel's hair. "Eugene, wha...?" Rapunzel's hair turns brown.

"NOOO!" Gothel shouts. The rest of Rapunzel's hair began to turn brown as Gothel tried to save as much as she can. "No...NO! What have you done? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!" She was losing her youth and beauty. She was turning into an old woman. She throws the hair to the floor and goes to the broken mirror. She was beginning to look like a walking corpse. She grabs the hood of her cloak as she sobs about losing her youth. Pascal and Brielle grabbed Rapunzel's hair and used it to trip Gothel.

Gothel falls from the tower screaming. Before she could reached the ground, all was left was bone dust and her clothing. She was truly dead.

Rapunzel pants as she calms herself from everything she witnessed. She realized that Eugene and (Y/n) were still with her. "No, no, no. Eugene. (Y/n). No! Look at me, look I'm right here. Don't go. Stay with me, Eugene and (Y/n)." She panicked as she grabs their hands and puts it on her hair. She tried to sing. "Flower gleam and glow, Let your powers shine Make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine."

"Rapunzel..." Eugene spoke softly. "What?" Rapunzel questioned sadly. "You were my new dream." Eugene said softly. "And you were mine. " Rapunzel confessed.

"Rapunzel...thank you...for helping me...complete my dream." (Y/n) smiled softly. "I finally...found you..my big sister.." Rapunzel smiles softly back at (Y/n). "You're my little sister...it's my job."

Eugene and (Y/n) exhaled their final breaths and died in Rapunzel's arms. Rapunzel held Eugene's face and (Y/n)'s hand close to her. She softly sings her song to their lifeless bodies.

Heal what has been hurt. Change the fates design. Save what has been lost. Bring back what once was mine. What once was mine.

Rapunzel sobs, losing both the man she learned to love and her little sister she just realized she had. Her tears fell to Eugene's cheek and (Y/n)'s knuckles. Two sun symbols appeared from the spots the tears fell before they disappeared. Rapunzel continued to sob, but stopped when light was coming from Eugene and (Y/n)'s wounds. The glowing light connected to each other as it forms into the flower that gave Rapunzel her power. She stared in awe once the wounds were healed up. She looks at (Y/n) and Eugene, hoping for them to wake up.

(Y/n) gasped for air as she calms herself down. She looks at Rapunzel. "Rapunzel?"

Rapunzel smiles at her sister. "(Y/n)?"

(Y/n) grins lightly. "You so owe me those sisters days I've always wanted." Rapunzel laughs as she pulled her into a hug. They hugged each other tightly as Rapunzel places a small kiss on her sister's forehead, crying (Y/n) to giggle.

They turned back to Eugene, hoping he would wake up too. Eugene inhale some air as he opens his eyes. "Rapunzel? (Y/n)?"

"Eugene?" The sisters smiled.

"Rapunzel, Did I ever tell you I've got a thing for brunettes?" Eugene jokes. Rapunzel tackles into a hug as they both pulled (Y/n) into their hug.

Once they let go of each other. Rapunzel pulled Eugene into a kiss as he kisses her back. (Y/n) giggles at the loving scene as Brielle and Pascal come towards her.

All that is left to do is get them back to the castle.
