Chapter 47

Lily's POV

"'Go to Madrid,' Kam said... 'Surprise your boyfriends,' she said," Jen mutters beside me, her voice dripping with frustration.

I can't help but agree with her. We spent hours planning this trip, hoping to surprise the boys and thinking they'd be excited to see us. Instead, we walked in to find them in the middle of some ridiculous game. And now, here we are, standing opposite them, watching as they get dared to do who knows what with a couple of girls we've never even met.

Kai looks like he's about to faint when he sees Jen. Finn isn't much better—his face turns ghost-white the moment he spots me. It's almost comical how guilty they both look, like kids caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

I cross my arms over my chest and raise an eyebrow, trying to keep my tone light despite the bubbling irritation inside me. "Well, this is quite the surprise," I say coolly. "Didn't realize we were crashing such a fun party."

Finn jumps up so quickly his chair nearly topples over. "Lily, I swear, this is not what it looks like."

"Oh, really?" I reply, fighting to keep a smirk off my face. "Because it looks a lot like you're playing 'Dare or Dare' with some random girls."

Emily, the one who suggested the dare, looks at us with a half-smile, clearly amused by the situation. "Oh, don't be so jealous," she teases, flipping her hair back. "It's just a game."

"Jealous?" Jen steps forward, fire in her eyes. "Why on earth would we be jealous? It's not like we flew across the world to see our boyfriends just to find them playing stupid games with other girls." She huffs, but there's a faint smile tugging at her lips. She's irritated, sure, but not ready to throw down just yet.

Kai stands up, hands raised in mock surrender. "J, Lil, it's really just harmless fun. We weren't going to do anything."

"Harmless fun?" I echo, raising an eyebrow higher. "You call getting dared to kiss two girls at once harmless fun? Seems like a pretty bold move for someone with a girlfriend." I shoot Finn a glare and enjoy watching him squirm.

Are we pissed that some random girls are flirting with our boyfriends? Absolutely. But it's not because we doubt Kai and Finn—they wouldn't cheat on us, and we both know that. It's the audacity of these girls that has us fuming. Flirting with taken guys right in front of their girlfriends is just asking for trouble.

The short blonde yawns and rolls her eyes like she's over it. "Boring," she drawls. "If you're so confident in your boyfriends, why are you here causing a scene? Looks to me like you're just insecure." Her voice is laced with condescension, and I can feel my patience wearing thin.

I take a step forward.

"Lil—" Finn begins, sensing the shift in my mood. God, I hate how well he can read me, even when I'm about to lose it.

I shoot him a sharp glare. "Zip it, babe," I snap, my anger getting the best of me.

"See? Insecure," the redhead cackles like a character from Gotham.

I muster the fakest smile I can. "Oh, sweetie, this isn't about insecurity. This is about you thinking you can waltz in here, throw yourself at someone else's boyfriend, and then act like we're the ones with the problem." I cross my arms over my chest, giving her a once-over. "Trust me, there's nothing here to be insecure about."

Emily, the brunette, scoffs and steps up to me, crossing her arms and mimicking my stance like a bratty child. "Yeah, right. If you're not insecure, then why don't you just leave? Afraid to see what happens if you're not around to keep them on a tight leash?"

Jen takes a step forward, her expression darkening. "Motherfucker," she mutters under her breath.

"J, let's calm down, okay?" Kai says cautiously, glancing between us and the girls. He turns to Emily and the other girls, his tone firmer. "Look, ladies, it's time for you to leave."

But I'm done playing nice. I step right up to Emily, close enough to see the flicker of surprise in her eyes.

"Listen, you bargain-bin bitch," I say sharply, patience gone. "If you don't get your trashy ass out of here right now, I'll drag you out myself. And trust me, that's not a threat—it's a promise."

Jen's grin turns sinister, her eyes narrowing as she steps closer. "You think we're joking? Do you really want to stick around and find out how quickly I can rip out hair extensions?"

Emily and Mia exchange a quick glance, clearly taken aback by our intensity. For a moment, it looks like they might argue back, but then Mia rolls her eyes and flips her hair. "Whatever, this isn't worth our time," she sneers, turning to leave. "Come on, Jess. We don't need to hang out with these psychos."

Charlie jumps up, his face a mix of panic and frustration. "Wait, don't go!" he pleads, holding out his hands. "It was just a game. We were all just messing around—"

Emily stops just before the door, turning back to face him. "Charlie, you're even more pathetic than I thought if you think I'd waste another second here." She flips him off with a perfectly manicured middle finger, then pushes through the crowd with Mia trailing behind her.

Charlie stares after them, looking completely defeated as he sinks back into his seat. "Well, that went great," he mutters, rubbing his temples.

Kai sighs and gives Jen a sheepish grin. "Come on, babe, can we just let that go?" he says, pulling her into a hug. "I've missed you." His voice is softer now, genuine.

Jen pretends to consider this for a moment, then laughs, giving him a light shove. "Alright, you're off the hook... this time. But don't think I'll forget that easily."

Kai chuckles and tugs her closer, pressing a quick kiss to her lips.

Finn, watching them with a smile, decides to join in. He reaches over and pulls me onto his lap, catching me by surprise. "And what about you, Butterfly?" he says, wrapping his arms around my waist. "Any chance you've missed me, too?"

I laugh, settling comfortably against him. "Maybe a little," I tease. "But you're still on thin ice for letting things get so out of hand."

"Oh really?" Finn asks, raising his eyebrows.

"Yeah," I whisper for only him to hear, "I've thought out your punishment." I wink.

Finn's eyes darken with intrigue as he leans in closer, his lips brushing against my ear. "Oh, really?" he murmurs, his voice dropping to a low, suggestive tone. "And what exactly does that entail?"

I can feel his breath warm against my skin, and before I can answer, I feel him growing hard beneath me. I shift slightly on his lap, and a slow, knowing smile spreads across my face. "Well," I say softly, my lips barely an inch from his, "it looks like you're already getting excited about it."

"So... I just have to ask," Kai starts pulling me and Finn back to reality that one, we're in a public setting and two there is a fine for public indecency.

"How did you guys find us? Madrid is a huge city. What are the chances?"

I pull out my phone and wave it slightly. "Thank your genius friend here," I nod towards Charlie, who's still sulking. "He tagged this bar on Instagram with a picture. We arrived this evening, saw it, and figured we'd swing by. Honestly, it made things a lot easier."

Charlie looks up sheepishly. "I didn't think you'd use Instagram to track us down," he mumbles.

"Well, maybe next time you'll think twice before broadcasting your location," Jen quips, though there's a teasing note in her voice now.

Charlie gives a sheepish grin, but then shrugs, seeming to bounce back quickly.

"Eh, who knows? Maybe I'll get lucky tonight," he jokes, his tone light. "I'm not ready to call it a night just yet. Gonna stay out and... you know, meet some new babes." He winks, trying to play off the earlier embarrassment.

Kai rolls his eyes but laughs, clapping Charlie on the back. "Good luck with that, man. Don't get into too much trouble."

Charlie flashes a grin and heads out, quickly blending into the crowd as he goes in search of his next adventure.

As the bar starts to quiet down, Kai turns to Jen, his expression softening. "Ready to get out of here?" he asks gently.

Jen nods, her earlier frustration starting to fade. "Yeah, let's go," she replies. They exchange a quick look with Finn and me, a silent agreement that it's time to wrap things up.

Kai and Jen leave the bar hand in hand, the tension between them easing as they step into the cool night air. The streets of Madrid are still alive with people, but they move quietly, the earlier drama of the night finally settling behind them.

Kai pulls her close, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "I'm really sorry about all that, J," he says sincerely.

Jen sighs but leans into him, her fingers lacing with his. "It's fine," she admits, her voice softer. "Let's just forget about it and enjoy the rest of the night, okay?"

Kai smiles and nods. "That sounds like a plan."

Jen pauses for a moment before turning to me. "Kai and I are heading back to his studio. Are you okay with going to Finn's?"

"Yeah, that's fine," I reply, as Finn and I head in the opposite direction. "See you tomorrow, Jen."

As we walk away, Finn leans in close, his voice low and teasing. "So," he murmurs with a mischievous grin, "let's talk about that punishment..."

I feel a shiver of anticipation run down my spine, and my mind starts racing. Oh, Finn, you have no idea what's coming.
