Jimin looks at the clock as the bell rings realizing his shift is starting and Sanha's break is starting so he shouldn't have to take another costumer before hand. Him and Yoongi walk out of the back room to see Jungkook walking up to them. Yoongi takes steps towards him. Taehyung not noticing whats going on.

"Hey" Yoongi says as he stops right in front of Jungkook, no answer. Jungkooks hand goes up and he slaps Yoongi across the face. A boyfriend instinct Jimin rushes over to them and puts his arm in between..

"You guys should take this outside" Jimin says and Yoongi's jaw drops.

"Excuse me" he says looking over at Jimin who didn't at all defend him like he thought he was going to.  

"Don't you dare think Taehyung is something for you to drag away from me, do you know why I'm upset, one of the reasons is you, the other is the fact that he has the ability to hear me, but he wont use it. My boyfriend won't listen to my voice on a daily basis, is something wrong with my voice?"

"Do you not hear how self centered you are?" Yoongi starts fuming and Jimin pushes them both out the door.

"Me, self centered?"

"My voice this, my boyfriend that, you're full of yourself. Shouldn't you worry about your boyfriend? Shouldn't you ask him how he feels, why he wont put in that uncomfortable ear piece every second of every day he can so he can listen to you complain. I take him out to give him a life outside of what he can't do, I take him out as a friend to give him more than silence, isn't that something you should do? I'm going to leave, and you're going to take my spot at that booth with the boy who legit just put his earphones in as you walked in because he felt weird and worried someone was going to talk to him, I haven't even seen him since you came in but I know him well enough to know he has them in, do you know him well enough?" Yoongi walks away leaving Jungkook stunned in his spot.

"I don't hear you walking" Yoongi yells over his shoulder, the Sunday street by the cafe empty except the sounds of Yoongi's shoes pressing onto the sidewalk.

Jungkook takes a deep breath.

Back inside Jimin is seated in front of Taehyung keeping him company, Taehyung in fact has earphones in.

"It was smart to change this place into a cafe and restaurant" Taehyung says softly

"we gained some customers but also lost some"

"Why is that?"

"we no longer serve alcohol so those customers left but now Sanha can work here"

all Taehyung could read was 'no alcohol, Sanha can work' but thats all he really needed to gain from the sentence anyways.

"its also a lot brighter" Taehyung says trying to fill up all the awkwardness he feels.

"Jin?" Taehyung adds before getting a longer talk about paint from Jimin that he wont understand

"its his day off" Jimin says with a smile, Taehyung has no idea what else to say.

"May I take that seat from you?"
Jimin looks over at Jungkook who is trying his best to smile at him. Jimin nods

"Yeah man, all yours" without saying anything to Taehyung Jimin gets up. Taehyung expecting Yoongi is surprised and confused to see Jungkook sit in front of him.

"I'm sorry" Jungkook states and Taehyung looks at him confused

"I've been ignoring you, I haven't been well I haven't been mean..."

"Please talk, a little slower" Taehyung stops Jungkook and feels very ashamed to have to ask such a thing. Jungkook trying to be understanding starts over

"I have been ignoring you... I haven't been the nicest and I'm sorry" Jungkook looks away not able to look Taehyung in the eye.

"It's okay"

Jungkook looks up still avoiding eye contact but making it so Taehyung can read his lips

"It's not" Jungkook says and everything is silent

"I've been upset" Jungkook signs for the first time in weeks

"Why?" Taehyung signs back

"It's stupid"

"Tell me" Taehyung says out loud instead of signing because Jungkook looked away from Taehyungs hands

"Stupid" Jungkook repeats the hand motion

"Tell me" Taehyungs hand hits the table unsure if his words are audible so he has to use other ways to know his words are heard.

"How does being deaf make you feel?" Jungkook tries to sign it out but fails to sign 'feel', but Taehyung got the message.

"It makes me feel..." Taehyungs words come out of his mouth, how uncomfortable it is for him to speak is clear in the tone.

"Hopeless, un...uncomfortable, alert, I I ha-ve to do so much in hopes of understanding, I have to do so much in order to hear almost nothing, in the end silence is better than all the noises that haunt me because I will never be able to fully hear again or well in moments hear anything besides teachers who wear the right equipment but even that.. they have to move up my seat because I'm relying more on reading their lips than listening through the hearing aid" Taehyung's voice gaining confidence halfway through his words, he pours out his heart and then drinks the rest of his coffee.
Jungkook puts his hand on Taehyung's to gain the attention back, Taehyung looks at him.

"Let's go home" Jungkook says and Taehyung nods, forgetting completely to ask what happened to Yoongi.

A/N: happy holidays! It's been a very tough week for me, and I know many others might feel the same. I don't know if you all know what I'm talking about but a small little hint: I'm a Shawol, that's the fandom I'm in.. many of us experienced heart break last week and it still feels fresh and hurts.. please be nice to everyone and respect your idols and other idols because you'll never know when they will be gone or what they are going through. Support them and give them all your love. Do the same for friends and family. Love you all.
