They were standing outside Corona. Well, right in front of the Corona walls, at least.

"This is your home? Not much, huh?" Hugo joked. Varian was leaning against him. Apparently being possessed by your mother exhausts you. His legs were still jelly after a week. It doesn't take 6 months to get back to corona when you're not stopping at every kingdom for the trials.

"There's more behind the wall, idiot!" Varian retorted. He liked joking around with Hugo. He had missed him a lot. They walked along the wall for a bit until they found the entrance.

When they arrived at the castle, a guard went inside to tell the queen they were there. The doors burst open.

"VARIAN!!! YOU'RE BACK!!!" Shouted a smiling face, who ran over and gave him a bear hug.

"R-rapunzel! Y-your crushing my lungs!" Varian said hoarsely.

"Oops... sorry! Forgot about the bear hugs thing. Still working on it!" She said, and let go. Varian dropped to the ground. His legs had been unusable since they were at the eternal library and the whole thing with his mom had happened. He turned to Hugo, who picked him up. "Umm... Varian? Why didn't you just stand up by yourself?" Rapunzel asked. She didn't know what happened.

"Let's go inside, and we'll explain it there," Varian said. They went to rapunzel's room. She had painted over the part of her wall with evil Varian, and replaced it with him and his hot water machine. They all sat down. "Rapunzel, these are my friends Yong, Nuru, and..." he paused when he was going to introduce Hugo and blushed a little. "Hugo."

Rapunzel gasped. "You blushed! You like him, don't you!?" Rapunzel said excitedly.

"Wow Raps. You immediately guessed who my boyfriend was," He said.

"BOYFRIEND?! EEEEEEEEEEE!!! I'M SO HAPPY!!!" She yelled. "Now tell me what happened when you were gone!"

Varian told her everything,  but Hugo got sad at the part with his betrayal.  Rapunzel glared at him.  Varian's eyes widened.

"Hugo, because I love you, I insist you run," Varian said. Hugo stayed put, confused. "Why aren't you running?!" Hugo got up, and Rapunzel started chasing him. He screamed so loud the entire castle came running to see what was going on. What they saw was rapunzel chasing Hugo with a frying pan into a dead end. Eugene stopped her from killing Hugo, but he knew there was barely anything that could make her that mad.

"How did this happen?" He asked. Rapunzel just stared at Hugo like she was gonna kill him. Hugo  explained what happened, and then he understood. Raps was way too overprotective of Varian. That's why the saporians haven't broken out yet. Rapunzel goes down there daily and threatens them that if they even try to touch that lock or break out, she'll kill them. We all know they want to kill Varian. "Let's go back to the room... Raps, don't even try it."

They got back to the room and Varian had expected a dead, or at least unconscious Hugo. "Oh! You're awake! And alive! I thought she would have at least knocked you out..." Varian said when they came in. They all sat down and Varian continued with the story. "Then.. We got to the library." They all had terrible memories of the place, and Hugo never wanted to go back. They all shuddered when they heard the name.

"Didn't you want to go there? Did you meet your mom?" Rapunzel asked. They all nodded, eyes wide. "What? What happened?!" Varian almost opened his mouth but was too scared to speak.

"She possessed her own son to get out," Hugo said. "She possessed Varian, and she would stop at nothing to get out. Even... even killing him." Rapunzel's eyes went wide. She gasped.

"No! That couldn't have happened!" She said. She refused to believe that.

"She did. I was stuck. I couldn't do anything. She made me fight them. When she realized I was fighting it, she fought against me by killing me. That just sent her spirit out of my body, and I full on died. When she saw how much they all cared for me... she realized what she did was wrong, and she donated her life to me. She ended up dying, and I lived, but there were a lot of side effects. I felt dead for the rest of the day, and could barely move on my own. Most of the side effects have gone now, except I still can't use my legs," Varian explained.

"IF SHE WASN'T ALREADY DEAD I WOULD KILL HER!!!"

"CALM DOWN!!!"
